Species: Fake Algae
Family: Aberration
Risk level: Low
Weaknesses: Drough
Description: They are created when algae swimming at the top of the lake becomes infected with monster corruption. It blends perfectly in the environment, by mimicking the state of surrounding it plants. Its size is dependable on the amount of original algae, but it cannot increase by absorbing the near vegetation, so that means that any damage it receives is permanent. It hunts by ensaring its prey, mainly fish and small insects, and then suffocating them with its body. After the creature dies it absorbes the carcas and uses it as energy. It can survive on a single fish for as long as one week.

This creature is not very threatening by itself, but its presence causes the nearby algae to transform into similar monsters, so the best course of action when one of them is spotted, is to drag it to the surface using fishing nets and then leaving them on the sun to dry out. To confirm that it is dead it is recommended to leave it there for a few days, otherwise it can bring itself to full health if it manages to be in contact with any body of water.
Personal notes: "They are vermins. If left unchecked they can dwindle the number of fish in my pond. My neighbor even lost a dog to one of those. They replicate like crazy if they have enough plants close to them, so I must check from time to time if one of them didn't sneak up in here. At least if it suddenly appears I can tell that some worse monster is nearby, so I can avoid it, but it still ain't good." Gustav, fisherman
