Rev can't believe what he just saw, but Thomas' focus on them gave Ein enough time to get the jump on Thomas. He lands a clean hit on him, sending Thomas fly toward the water. He them creates a giant thick wall from the sand on the beach and sends it crashing down on Thomas. Ein then dashes toward Rev, picking him up as his full power sprints it into the forest.
"Kemy.." Rev says
"He's in a better place now don't worry about. Him, blessed is he who dies so others may live," Ein says.
"It doesn't feel right..." Rev says
"But it is Kemy was a sworn defender of those who could not defend themself. He died in the most honorable way possible," Ein tells Rev, trying to reassure him.
Elf officer dig Thomas out of the sand. "Where did he go, WHERE" Thomas demands.
"There gone into the forest," the officers tell him.
Rev and Ein zoom through the forest.
"We need to head towards the dock immediately. We can't let them beat us there, but I fear a fleet of them may be waiting for us"
They continue running through the forest. Using the trees to boost off of sending them fly through the forest, but also leaving a trail behind them. The guards finish digging Thomas out and he rapidly flies up, trying to spot Rev and Ein. He sees the trees shaking in the distances.
"Fuck it, there's no point in holding anything back. I have to admit it's been a while sense I've used any art of this caliber," Thomas says with a smile on his face.
He extends his hand to the trees of the forest, breathing in deeply as he closes his eyes. The source from the tree's magnetize, swirls rapidly around Thomas.
"No way his going to use a legendary art," one of the guard below says
Another guard comments, "is that safe to use? Are we safe?"
" Fear not, for you are not my targets," Thomas says as he opens his eyes looking feather away at the shaking trees.
Thomas' hand flashes through multiple hand signs. As he does, the surrounding source forms a picture of a giant water serpent appears. The source turns to water trapping over Thomas' arms as though they were wings. He brings his elbows in front of this face stacked on top of each other as he opens them up. The source creates a serpent's head and launches it at ear-piercing speed. Thomas zoom towards the trees in the distance.
Rev hearing a boom in the distance "What wa-"
Thomas comes crashing down beside them. Ein barely dodging the attack, but as Thomas hits the ground, the water scatters. When it comes in contact with any other form of source, it freezes. Rev seeing something wrong with the water, the wind blasts it away before it hits Ein. As the wind blast makes contact water, it causes the air to turn freeze itself self turning in to an icy mist.
"How did it-" Rev is interrupted by Thomas breaking out of the ice serpent shell.
"Lets get out of here kid. That art had to tire even him out. He won't be able to cast it again," Ein says.
Ein continues his run towards the port, while Thomas searches to see if Ein or Rev were caught in the blast. Thomas' breath is heavy and rapid. He looks in the distance, seeing the foots step left behind large that of a cyclops. He composes himself, steadying his breath as he takes to the sky and fly searches for them from above. Rev feels like they're being watched and turns his head behind them, then above them. He forces his gazes, ignoring the source coming from the trees forging in on a bigger mass.
"He's still following us and is catching up fast," Rev tells Ein.
"Is that so...well it seems we have no choice. Buy me some time Rev and whatever you don't die," Ein says as he comes to a stop.
Thomas flies over them, looking down.
"So we have chosen to fight have we" Thomas says.
Rev yells out " come get me oh mighty one" he says in a condescending tone.
Thomas scuffs "Nush Novra"
a water spear comes shooting towards Rev, but he notices it's slower than before. Rev doges it, but as it goes into the ground, Thomas spreads his finger wide. This causes the water to pull apart the roots below, creating an oping in the forest with no trees to hide behind. Thomas quickly flies down and attempts to punch Rev in the face, but Rev unexpectedly leans into Thomas, holding him tight.
"Am READY" Rev yells out.
In that moment, Ein comes bolting towards Thomas. He tries to escape, But Rev lets go of him and wind blast him toward Ein.
BANG!!!
The collision of Ein fist caving in Thomas' chest creating a massive shock wave. Thomas, to say the least, is out cold.

Rev looks at Ein with a look of envy.
"Ok" Rev says
Rev looks back at Thomas one more time before he climbs on Ein backpack.
"You ready Rev" Ein asks
"...Yeah let's go" Rev responds.
They take off again at a slower, more steady pace than before. Back at the beach, the guards decide to split up half head back towards the city to report what happened, while the other half search for Thomas. As the sun reaches mid day, the guards made it back to the city to reporting that Thomas was last seen chasing the dark elf and cyclops and it was unclear if he captured them. The guards eventually retrieve Thomas, who was lying in a tried up pool of blood. Meanwhile Rev and Ein take a break, seeing that the chase was most likely over. They settle down by a small stream leading to the ocean. Rev climbs off Ein back darting towards the water, drinking it by the hand full. Ein kneels beside him, doing the same. Once their thirst is quench and stomachs are full, they can finally relax a little.
"You did well back there Rev. I appreciate the trust you had for me," Ein says
Rev is silent at first but "If I travel with you, can you teach me to be as strong as you?" Rev asks, looking up at Ein.
"For what does someone like you need to be strong?" Ein asks.
"I need to make the man that killed my family pay," Rev responses with a look of conviction in his eyes.
Ein signs "The path of revenge is not one that leads to the twin gods"
"You said that you're so to protect the ones that can't protect themself. Well, i couldn't protect my family back then but now at least I can make things even. I mean that elf that was after us you didn't hesitate to give him a killing blow," Rev tells Ein.
"You mind is twisted child. Your curse seems to effect more than just your appearances," Ein says
"What curse" Rev asks
Ein tries to explain "You're a dark elf child don't you know you kind was feared by elves and dragons a like. Said that the first dark elf was born a battlefield after his mother had died. Skin of ash and hair resembling the purest silk. Their eyes were said to be ______ , but yours are red. Some believe that they could see source its self, just like you have told me. Perhaps your eyes haven't fully developed. "So you're saying they were the strongest?" Rev asks.
"Well, in theory yes, but the like i said there truth did not come from the twin gods but of deep hatred there for they were eventually all slaughtered as the elves and dragons easily outnumbered them." Ein responds.
Rev looks down at his hands and scoffs
Ein reassures Rev by saying, "Don't worry, like I told you before, even the cursed can be redeemed in the twin gods... How about we make a deal?"
Rev looks up. "A deal?"
"Yes, if you agree to let me teach you of the twin gods and the path of redemption, then i promise to teach you all I know," Ein suggest.
Rev thinks for a moment, then a small grin appears on his face. "Ok" Rev sticks his arm out.
Ein looks confused. Rev retreats his arms and laughs to himself.
"Your a strange child Rev," Ein says.
"Your a strange cyclops," Rev says in an uncharacteristically joking way.
Ein gets up, packing the supplies and taking one last hand full of water.
"lets get going Rev, we want to get to the port before the sun goes down tomorrow or else we will miss the boat," Ein tells rev
Rev gets up and also takes a sip of water, then climbs on Ein back sitting on top of his backpack, feeling weirdly comfortable in his shared company.
"...wait what's a boat?" Rev thinks to himself.
It's too late now. Ein has already set off running towards the port. Eventually, the day is over and the moon takes the sky.
"lets rest here for the night," Ein says.
Rev climbs off Ein's back. Ein gathers leaves, laying them on the ground as a form of beading. Rev lies on them, weirdly more comfortable than the beds back at the farm. The night passed with Rev waking up because of the cold. He then uses the leaves more than a blanked than beading. Finally, day comes and the warm sunbeams down on them, sneaking past the leaves of the trees above.
"Time to head out Rev, no time to waste," Ein says
Rev hair is a mess with leafs and small twigs tangles in them. He attempts to pick them out. Ein seeing Rev struggle, he rips a part of his shirt off then searches through his backpack for a small sowing kit.
"Come here Rev," Ein says
Rev looks at Ein through his tangled hair. Ein Places the shirt cloth over Revs head like a hood, then using his sowing kit binds it to Revs shirt.
"There I only poked myself twice," Ein says as he looks at the hoodie and laughs.
Rev seems pleased with the hoodie, as he doesn't like the glares of others on him. They then head out towards the port. On the way, they gather water and kill a 2 rabbits and cook them over the fire.
"Thank you twin gods, for providing our meals. We shall not let any of it go to waste," Ein says.
Rev pays no attention to Ein and tries to dig in to his rabbit before it's fully cooked.
"You are too eager child, you must learn less about control. here pray with me child," Ein tell Rev.
Rev look at Ein and sings "Fine what was it something th-"
Ein cuts Rev off "We gather here to thank you twin gods for this meal and I ask you reveal yourself to this young cursed child and help him heal the hatred in his heart"
Rev Is silent in the prayer but he thinks back to that night the deathing cold wind. Oddly enough, Eins' words bring Rev some weird type of warmth. It's quickly extinguished by as his memory takes a hold of him seeing the Rudy's skull being slowly crushed by Thomas. Rev think to himself "Some people deserver to be hated".
"Alright Rev lets eat" Ein says handing the rabbit on a stick to Rev.
Rev takes it the stick by its bottom and revenges the Rabit to the bone. Ein looks over at Rev with a slightly disturbed look, but it quickly turns to a smile, then a laugh.
"What's so funny you old man" Rev says.
"Old man?" Ein responds.
"Well you keep calling me young child. It's only fair that I call you old man," Rev tells Ein.
Ein gives a hardy Laugh "I guess you're right Rev" Ein says with a smile.
They finish their meals and immediately get back on track.
"If we keep this pace up with should make it to the port with time just in time," Ein tells Rev.
The sun is still out but is fading. Ein and Rev have made it to the port. Rev looks up at the giant ship.
"What is that thing" Rev asks.
"It's the boat that will take us to Eavon, of course," Ein says.
Rev looks out at the vast ocean that seems to never end.
"Where's that? I don't see it," Rev says.
Ein laugh "You have much to learn young one"
Ein buys a 2 tickets then steps in line waiting to board.
"Just stay close Rev and for you own good don't let anyone see your face," Ein warns Rev.
Rev has no problem with that as he sits comfortably on top of Eins back pack with his hood over his head. As they wait, the sound of the ocean waves put Rev to sleep. Before he knows it, they have boarded the ship. Ein had originally had enough money for 3 people to board, but with extra money he had reserved a small private room. He saw this as the best option to lower the risk of any trouble a merging with Revs appearances.
