Chapter 42

Loka walks back to his broken city.

Loka sighs, "What's another decade?" He says.

-1 week later.

Rev is about halfway to Eden now with no plans on slowing down. If anything, he's getting faster. "Loka, your life will be mine to take," Rev thought as he bolted through the forest, shaking the trees and ground below him as he does.

"My queen, should we send another dragon to check on the Ember, Chain, and Wayra?"

"Yes, call in Havoc." The queen says.

"Right away, my queen."

The ground shakes and a over whelming murders tension fills the room.

"You called for me, my queen." Havoc says, bowing his head.

The queen smiles. " My second-born child, Havoc. I need you to kill someone for me. A dark elf by the name Red eyes has been causing some unwanted trouble. He is marked as a global threat by the elves. It seems he has some ties to Loka. It was said that they fought and Red eyes lived. Loka isn't the type of man to let someone live. I believe that this Red eyes has some sort of greater purpose for Loka. It thinks it would be in our best interest to kill Red eyes before he fulfills that purpose. So go off and search the globe until you find him I will send 10 more dragons out to scout. They will report to you if they find his location." The queen tells Havoc.

"Understood, my queen." Havoc says as he takes flight along with 10 other dragons.

The real hunt has begun.

Loka has gathered up as many people that had survived to start clearing out all the rubble in Carter. Loka uses the elf guard to take control.

"All we're doing is clearing out all this stuff so we can start rebuilding. If you kill any human without my permission, I assure you your death will be long and agonizing." Loka tells the elf guards.

"YES SIR!" the elf guards respond.

6hr later.

Rev has taken a break from running to sit down for a meal. He has killed 3 rabbits. He burns them to a light brown crisp and digs in. The snow has only gotten thicker over the last week. He gets up, wasting no time as he gets back to running towards Eden.

"We cleared a couple blocks. Are we planning to reuse any of the material, sir?" A human worker asks.

"If you think they could be of use, then put them in a different pile." Loka says.

"Ok..." The man freezes.

WHOOOSH!

Loka looks up to see 2 dragons fly above, cutting through the sky and clouds as they do. "There in a rush, but it seems am not their target. Who would be able to piss off that many dragons...Red eyes." Loka thinks.

Loka gets up and starts packing. "Am going to be gone for a while, remember what I told you before?" Loka tells the elf guards.

They nod their heads. Loka get's in the plane. He tells a group of elf to feed it some source into the engine. He then takes off, flying in the dragon's direction. Loka sighs "I need to find him before they do. He's stronger than most, but that feeling just now. There's no doubt about it, an elder dragon has left Tartarus." Loka thinks to himself.

-3 days later.

The hunt for Rev has started, but Rev has made himself no easy man to find. His source control allows him to spread it wide and thin. Making it impossible to detect his exact location.

"Where is he? Is he even still in Isha? no he must be. All this snow doesn't help. I can't fly the plane for more than half the day." Loka says.

-4 days later.

Rev has made his way to Eden. In the last week it seems that many elves soldiers have been sent here to reclaim the city. "Good, that must mean the port is still working." Rev thought. He makes his way there and sneaks himself onto a ship, returning to not to Frayer but Paradise it's self. This was completely unknown to Rev as he stores himself away in a dark corner underneath the ship where basic supply is kept. Rev spreads his source out into the water to not draw attention to himself.

"This is harder than expected. Do you think he could have been heading toward Eavan?" a dragon asks Havoc.

"It could be possible. The queen has already sent some dragons there, but that contestant is more than twice the size of Isha and we havn't even checked all if Isha yet. This is simply the last place he was." Havoc says.

"HAVOC!" a distant dragon yells.

"What is it?" Havoc asks.

"2 of the dragons sent to Isha have died."

"Red eye?" Havoc asks.

"No, it's Loka. They were all found frozen and shattered to piece."

Havoc's overwhelming aura has the dragons around him shaking and bowing their heads. "We have no time to fight, Loka. The queen orders where to kill Red eyes. We must stay focused. Am heading toward Eaven. You stay hear and if you spot Red eyes, then one of you come find me or report back to the queen." Havoc says.

"YES SIR," the other dragons say in unison.

"Am getting no where. How many more dragons will they send? They must be under the orders of the queen herself, but what could she possible want with...no, is that bitch after his eye? I didn't think dragons were that smart. Maybe I am giving them too much credit and Red eyes just happened to piss off a high ranking Dragon. What ever it is, he managed to get an elder dragon after him. If he finds him before I do, he's sure to die before i can get any use out of him." Loka thinks.

The water is rough on the open ocean. "I don't remember it being like this the other times I was on the ship. At least it seems the dragons have lost sight of me. Did I really piss them off that much by killing that needle dragon?" Rev thought to himself.

He tries to fall asleep, but there's no use.

"My king, an unusual amount of dragons have been spotted recently."

"So?" the elf king responds, slightly annoyed to be interrupted by such things.

"Well, they havn't been going on rampages like they usually do. There much more organized than we've ever seen them before. It seems...like there looking for someone."

The elf king turns around. His perfectly braided bright blond hair shines in the sunlight. His eye bright and full of overwhelming confidence.

"Do you know who I am? I have killed more dragons than years you've been alive. To doubt me is to doubt god. So tell me why I sense such fear coming from you? It makes me sick." The elf king says.

Before the elf can respond, his head is cleaning cut off to where it doesn't even move an inch. The elf king pick the elf up with his source and send him flying high into the cloud.

"Such thing have no place in my kingdom." The elf king smile "Bring me a new glass of wine, would you?" He tells his servants.

They nod their head as they are voices are unworthy of enters the ears of the king.

-1 week later.

"We have done our best to check Isha from top to bottom. It seems that Rev is either hiding away or is no longer on Isha. We have also run into some problems with dragons running into Loka and increased elf solider at every major city. It seems the elf thinks that we are preparing an attack. I am awaiting your orders, my queen."

"It seems our search for Red eyes has brought us unwanted attention. Have the dragons other than Havoc retreat for now. We can't afford the losses of an all out war with the elves again." The queen says.

"As you wish, my queen."

Loka sits on top of another dead dragon. "Where are you, Red eye?..." Loka thinks. Loka started making his way back to Carter to check on the progress.

"I wonder how long it's been..." Rev thinks as the ship sways side to side for the millions time. Rev hasn't gotten much sleep in the past week. His head is spinning with one constant thought, keeping him going. "Loka...Kill...Loka." Rev thinks. The thought running through his head day in and day out.

The orders were sent out to the dragons, telling them to return to Tartarus. Loka makes his way back to Carter, surprised by the progress made.

"Loka's back." An elf guard says.

"Can all the people that used to live in the city step up for me?" Loka says.

About 200 people stepped forward. "So that's all that's left...You're wearing a badge." Loka points out.

"Yes sir, I am an officer of the city." The man says.

Loka leans in close "Did you see the fight between the elf in the cloak and the dragon?" Loka asks.

"No, sir...but I saw him walking out of the police station as it blow up." the man says.

"...so he wasn't fighting the dragon in the city?" Loka asks.

"No sir, i didn't see any dragon." The man says.

"So he did it out of spite. I should have figured...Is that all the information have?" Loka asks.

"Yes, sir...well, I heard him yell your name multiple times. To be completely honest, sir, I was too scared to fight him. Am sorry to disappoint you." The man says, taking a knee.

Loka thinks for a moment. He looked at where the dragons had been heading towards. "...That crazy mother fuckers looking for me, Fuck!" Loka thinks as he runs to the plane in a slight panic.

"Of course he's looking for me, but how did he know where I was going? Did he see me take off? No, he must have beaten the information out of someone." Loka sighs. "If that's true, he's no longer on Isha at all." Loka thinks. He quickly takes off with the guard still on his knees as he gets flashbacks of the burning city.

"Monster..." the man says under his breath.

"Up...and down...up and down." Rev thinks as he lays at the bottom of the ship. "Kill...Loka..." Rev thinks with a smile on faint smile on his face.

-2 days later.

"What is that? A dragon? No..." An elf guard says.

Loka lands his plane by Frayer. He is met by a horde of elf guards and soldiers.

"Elf soldiers, it seems they've up there security." Loka thinks.

They begin to cast. "I wouldn't do that," Loka warns them.

Before they can finish, Loka dashes forward, grabbing their face and squeezing it, destroying the front of their skulls. The elf guards are stunned. The soldiers retreat.

"Am sorry about them. They're on high alert." An elf royal says.

"What?" an elf guard says.

"The man standing in front of you is Loka. I would suggest you back off for your own safety and let me do the talking." The elf royal says.

"Loka..." the guard says under his breath.

He immediately backs off and lowers his head. "That's Loka..." He thinks.

Loka smiles "Don't worry, I don't plan on staying very long. The ship with the person am expecting will be here in less than a week." Loka says.

"So you're expecting company?" The royals ask.

"Yes, believe it or am on a rescue mission," Loka says with a grin.

"Is that so...May i ask who it is?" The royal asks.

"That is none of your concern. All you need to do is notify me if any dragons show up. I'll kill them and you'll pay me back by keeping your mouth shut as usual," Loka says.

"You know me well." The royal says as he tells the soldier to back off and follow him.

The guard walk away, his hand shaking "Loka...a global threat worth 25 Grace and he just let him go...It seems people with that much power can hold some real leverage. Am sure if he wanted to he could level the city at any moment. Who ever he's protecting must be important." He thinks.

Loka sighs "Hopefully they don't find him halfway in the ocean. Even if a normal dragon found him, it would be a hard place for Red eyes to fight." Loka thinks.

He gets's some food from the city and walks into a hotel.

"Welcome! your usual room has been prepared." The elf at the desk tells Loka.

Loka walks into the elevator and press on the top floor. "At least I'll have a couple days to relax. If everything goes well, I won't even have to get involved." Loka thinks.

-1 week later

No ship shows up. Loka is left confused at the dock. "When will the ships from Eden be arriving" Loka asks.

"Eden? We havn't had any ships from there after we took care of the fleeing elves from the attack." The elf at the dock says.

"What! if the ships from Eden aren't coming here, then where are they going?" Loka asks.

The elf is shaking up, feeling Loka's source practically strangle him. "...uh...Paridise...there all going to Paradise. There only shipment of supplies to rebuild." The elf tells Loka.

'What? Paradise..." Loka takes a deep breath. " How long would that usually take?" Loka asks.

"Well, just about 3-4 weeks depending on the weather i would say, but am not 100 percent certain." The elf says.

"3-4 week, that means there's still time." Loka thinks.

He quickly makes his way to his plane. "Am using way too much source refilling this thing." Loka thinks.

He takes off toward Paridise. Meanwhile, Rev is still at the bottom of the ship. The last couple days have been less rough and have given him time to read over some of Loka's note he had stolen.

"I can't take much more of this..." Rev thinks.

He pulls his source from the ocean around him back to him, refueling him a bit. "That's better, am sure having my source pulled to me for just a day won't hurt." Rev thinks.

"Source! a powerful pull. Am in the middle of the ocean and the queen orders where to come back to her. It couldn't hurt to check." A dragon flies above thinking.

He dips below the clouds, spotting the ship below. "it's coming from that ship...could Red eyes really be one it? It could be another powerful elf. Well, either way, it's sure to be a good meal." The dragon thinks.

He swoops down, charging a breath attack. Rev feels danger approaching his eyes light up as he looks through the ship at the large pool of source above him.

Rev sighs "Fuck."
