Chapter 17

Rev goes ahead and tells Ein his idea.

“So I can control the thing I coat in source. I can boost myself in the air and then create stone panels to wind blast off of. I touch the panels for a second to coat them as they would shatter when a i wind blast off of them. I can control those pieces and use reconstruct them into thing I can throw.” Rev tells Ein.

Ein doesn't look like he is following. Rev sees that and demonstrates.

“just look at what I do,” Rev tells Ein.

Ein watches Rev. Rev boost up and creates a stone panel behind him. He uses it to wind blast off of, but not before touching it with his hand to coat it in source. When he boosts off of it he shoots forward and the stone panel shoots back for a second before Rev instantly pulls it toward him and lunches it at Ein’s feet. The panels Rev created are like flat arrows, a rectangle with a pointed end. Which causes it to dig into the ground in front of Ein’s feet. Rev creates another panel above him and he shoots himself straight down. Pulling the panel behind him. He slows his fall, landing right in front of Ein.

“That didn’t look very safe,” Ein says.

Rev rolls his eyes. “Its perfectly safe…well as long as I don’t mess up. It being safe or not, not the point of it. It’s that I let me travel through the air freely.” Rev tells Ein.

Ein thinks about it. “Hm…I guess the more you practice, the safer it will become-”

“Exactly!” Rev says.

“Well, if you think it will be useful to you, then I don’t have any objections. Other than the source cost of it all. Do you think the source cost is worth it to you Rev?” Ein asks.

“Yes, I made the panels as thin as I can and just big enough for my foot to boost off of. I can also just dash off of them,” Rev tells Ein.

“Ok Rev, but as I said before, never stop trying to improve. Yourself or your arts,” Ein tells Rev.

-Day 31 of the jungle.

Passing the month mark, Ein and Rev took a long travel day, only stopping to make food and pray. Rev along the way tried making differn’t shapes with the stone creation he has learned. Seeing how small he can go with them. By the end of the day, he figure out how to create a disc shape.

-Day 32 of the jungle.

The training has returned. Walking for about half the day and training for the other help. Rev tries out his air, walking the technique again and again. Ein watches him carefully and tries giving him tips.

“Good Rev. make sure you know where your want your next panel to be so you don’t have make a split second decision. You should have a planned out root in an ideal situation.” Ein tells Rev.

“Ok, I’ll try to make 3 panels. Go left then right then down.”Rev says.

He then launches himself up, creating a panel behind him to boost off to the right, then left. Finally, one above him to boost him straight down. Landing safely in font of Ein.

“Well done,” Ein says hugging Rev.

Rev is filled with that indescribable warmth again.

“Ok ok old man get off me…” Rev whispers.

Ein smile “If I could I’d never let you go Rev.” Ein says.

A bless befalls Revs face. “Weirdo…” Rev mutters.

“One day I hope you find someone that can peal back that tough exterior of yours. Someone you can truly feel safe with.” Ein tells Rev.

Rev is silent, but in thought “as if…” Rev thinks to himself.

-Day 33 of the jungle.

Back to another long traveling day. Rev and Ein make good progress. Rev chooses to fly his kite around this time around.

“Ein how do you know your faith comes from your heart like you said before?” Rev asks

“Faith from the heart never falters. Faith from the heart is unconditional.” Ein says.

“unconditionally? What does that mean?” Rev asks.

“It means to have unconditional faith. You should have faith in the good and the bad times of your life. Following the faith doesn’t mean your life will be perfect. No, the twin gods create challenges in your life, but only those they know you can handle those they know will make you stronger in the long run. When times are good, you must thank the twin gods, and when times are bad, you must thank the twin gods. Do not let your environment affect your faith,” Ein tells Rev.

Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

“Ok, but I don’t get why they don’t reveal themself to everyone. You told me that they are on my side. They want to see me succeed.” Rev says.

“Rev, if you know something is bad, would that stop you from doing that bad thing? See Rev, knowing something is real doesn’t change as much as you think it does. If everyone knows the twin gods were real, then no one could have faith. To have faith, there needs to be a level of mystery. These are the creators of everything Rev they don’t have to give us blessing or the power of source, but they did. It would be selfish to ask her more. They don’t need to prove anything to us. They could for us all to believe in them and do their every bidding, but they don’t. They gave us the greatest gift of all. Free will Rev, we can choose to do as we please. We can choose to use that gift for good or bad. The choose is yours. Ein tells Rev.

“What if no one ever teaches you what is good or bad?” Rev asks.

“Well Rev, that's why the twin gods tell their followers to spread their faith the to all who will listen. I am proud to say that I have brought many to the faith in the twin gods. The oblivious are usual easier to have them turn to faith than those who know of faith and choose to reject it.” Ein says.

“If the twin gods give blessing, then why would anyone reject them…” Rev asks.

Ein signs “Rev I told you that the twin gods command me to forgive others and to not hold hate in my heart. For your heart should be filled with faith, with no room for sin. Having that said Rev there's someone I can’t forgive and there's someone you also hold hate for in your heart. By doing this, we are both rejecting the twin gods. Luckly Rev the twin gods are not like us and can forgive us. They know that we are not perfect. This is why your good deads alone can not take you to the beyond. You may only reach the final gates with faith in your heart. See Rev the most, the people that reject the twin gods are not full of evil. They are just simply confused. Most of them have been told lies sense the day there were born. That the twin gods would not forgive them. That they don’t need the twin gods.”

Rev nods his head “So you can do bad things, but as long as you have faith in your hear you can still make it to the beyond?” Rev asks.

“If you have true faith in your heart, then you would try to do as little of those bad things as possible. See many twist the words of the twin gods. Those are called false visionaries. They claim to have visions of the twin gods, but their words do not aline with what has already been stated. Their words can even go against what has been established. You see, the twin gods warned us of these false visionaries.” Ein tells Rev.

Rev looks a little overwhelmed. “How do you remember all these things, Ein..?”

Ein laughs, “Oh child, your minds still have so much room to grow.”

Rev glares up at Ein “what's that so to mean….” Rev whispers.

-Day 34 of the jungle.

Back to training, it is.

“Ein, can you shoot wind blast at me so I can practice dodge in the air?” Rev asks.

“Are you sure that's a good idea Rev.” Ein says.

“Well, how am I so to get better if I never push myself? You told me to never stop trying to improve.” Rev says with a smirk.

Ein signs “I did say that didn’t I…Fine, but Ill be shooting weak ones.”

“Ok!” Rev responds.

Rev and Ein prepare and then they're off. Rev takes the skies as Ein shoots around him. Rev plans out his root and executes it perfectly. Ending up behind Ein shooting him in the back with a very weak wind blast.”

“Bang!…I got you” Rev grins is wide.

“Indeed, you did. Well done, Rev,” Ein pats Rev on the head.

“How about we do something more safe now that you had your fun?” Ein suggests.

“Fine…” Rev responds.

“Good, let's work on source control. You can always improve on that.” Ein says.

Ein takes his stand “Do as I do Rev. Pull the source to you”

Rev stands in front of him and pulls the source as well. “Good Rev. Pull the source, feel me pulling it back. Fight against my pull. Use your eyes to see any weak stops in my pull. Anything you can take advantage of,” Ein tells Rev.

Rev looks around Ein seeing the source being pulled in. He notices that Ein's pull is weaker the further it gets away from his core. At his head and his feet. Rev starts focusing his pull on those areas. Rev then shoots out source connected to him far to the right and left. Creating a string of source that funnels the source straight to Rev before it reaches Eins pull radius. Ein feels that he's pulling in less source than before, so he increases his radius. Rev seeing this quickly retreats, this source strings pulling them in before Ein takes them from him. Rev looks at Ein’s core as it reassembling a small star of light.

“No fair, your core is bigger than mine,” Rev complains.

Ein laughs. “Something tells me that won’t be the case for a long child. Even for an elf, you seem to have quite a lot of sources in you. Not as much as a blessed elf, but still quite impressive indeed.” Ein tells Rev.

“Do the blessed elfs have more than you do?” Rev asks.

Ein laughs a hardy laugh “Oh child…The blessed elves are on a different level. Once they are fully grown, they are in a league of their own. Fighting against their pull is a challenge that none could hope to win…Well….there are always exceptions.” Ein says.

“Exceptions?” Rev thinks.

-Day 35 of the jungle.

As much as Rev enjoys his training. He has grown to like these long walks, listening to Ein’s stories. They have started to talk about the commandments of the twin gods.

“Ein, if you break the commandments, you still be forgiven. So you told be there was an unforgiveable sin of claiming to be god. Are there any other unforgiveable sins?” Rev asks.

“Great question Rev. Yes, those who kill my the faithful with no remorse in their heart, or take pleasure in it can not be forgiven. This ties in with the first commandment I told you about this morning. Do you remember it?” Ein says.

Rev thinks for a moment, “Yeah, you shall not kill your fellow believer or possible believers. I think that's how it went.” Rev says unsurely.

“Yes Rev, glad to see you're paying attention. You see, it's can not be forgiven to kill the faithful with no remorse in your heart because that is a direct attack on the twin gods. Having no remorse in your heart indicates they are leaving no room for faith and taking pleaser in it means they leave no room for possible forgiveness. As those who would take pleasure in such an act would never even think of asking for forgives in the first place.” Ein explains.

“So…if you where to kill one of those people who have committed an unforgiveable sin…It would be ok?” Rev asks looking intently at Ein.

Ein signs “Well as it’s been stated…Yes, it would be ok.”

An old fire ignites in Rev.
