-Day 115 of the jungle
A couple days have passed sense Rev and Ein had encountered the Lorama. Its Stange behavior still noted in the back of their minds as they travel forward toward Morton. Rev has started to climb the biggest trees he can in hopes of seeing the city that Ein has spoken of.
“I don’t see anything ahead,” Rev yells down to Ein.
Rev quickly scans around one last time before jumping from the top of the tree as he uses a windblast to stop his momentum before he hits the ground.
“I wished you stop doing suck reckless things,” Ein says.
‘And i wish you’d stop worrying so much old man” Rev responds as he side eyes Ein in a joking manner.
Ein signs “Come on kid, we’ve wasted enough time”
Rev follows behind him. The training days had lessened, as Ein makes a priority of making it to Morton as fast as possible.
-Day 120 of the jungle.
“I SEE IT, I SEE IT.” Rev calls down to Ein.
Rev quickly climbs down the tree, jumping off about halfway down it.
“I saw the tall building in the distances. They look kinda off…” Rev can’t seem to find the word to describe it.
Ein laughs “ Don’t worry kid, I understand your concern. Morton isn’t like the type of city your uses to. This one is owned by humans. Morton is the last human city.” Ein tells Rev.
Rev is in disbelief, but moreover he is weirdly tense. They keep traveling forward. Rev is silent and scouts ahead for the rest of the day. Ein takes notices to Rev off put behavior. He waits for Rev to return to him.
“…I found some fruit,” Rev says.
“Are you ok Rev?” Ein asks.
Rev answer without looking Ein in the eyes “Am fine…” Rev responds.
“You don’t seem fine to me. What’s wrong?” Ein asks again.
Rev is hesitant, then looks up at Ein. He meets his gaze. “The city is full of humans…Its just that…well..”
Ein sees Rev is struggling and tries to reassure him. “Rev, look at me and hear my words. I promise that no harm will come to you as long as am by your side. I ask you to trust in my words for no lie I have ever told you,” Ein tells Rev.
Rev stares intently at Ein “Ok” Rev says with reclaimed confidences
“Besides, the city is protected by a blessed elf,” Ein says
“Wait…what did you just say?” Rev asks.
“Am sure you heard me correctly. Morton is protected by a rogue blessed elf named Judas. He was one of the few elves that defended cyclops and humans. He is an elf of faith. And someone as proud to call my friend,” Ein tells Rev.
“He’s the old friend you were talking about before.” Rev says.
“Exactly right. I believe his knowledge of elf history is greater than mine. I would like it if we were to all have a talk. I think it would be beneficial to have someone else talk about their journey with their faith. In hopes that you could connect with them more.” Ein says.
Rev seems to be taken a black slightly “I think I connect with you just fine” he says.
Ein laughs “Yes I am sure that’s true, but Rev sharing your stories of your experience with faith. And hearing what it’s done ife other can me a very powerful thing. It brews a sense of connection with in the community. That we are all in this together. We all have sinned one time or another, but through the grace of the twin gods and are acts of devotion we are granted grace.” Ein tells Rev.
[12:23 PM]
Rev doesn’t seem too excited at the thought of sharing his story with anyone that isn’t Ein. “They…just won’t get it…” Rev thinks to himself.
-Day 120 if the jungle.
The thoughts of what is to come in Morton have filled Rev’s head of the last couple of days. Ein has tried to reassure him, but this seems to be something that can’t be talked out. So the next best thing was to train. That way Rev could at least put his emotions to work.
“Come on Rev, I know you can pull harder than that.” Ein says.
Rev and Ein are currently playing tug of war with their source. Rev’s legs are shaking as he reaches out to the source in front of him in an effort to better guide it towards him.
“That’s it Rev. Use any an advantage you can think of.” Ein says.
“Be….quiet already old man am—“ the source is pulled away from Rev mid sentence.

Rev falls flat on his face. Ein offers a helping hand. Rev takes the offer.
“Thanks…” Rev whispers.
Ein smile “You're very welcome” he says.
“How about we play a round of tag?” Ein suggests.
“Yeah…sure I guess we could,” Rev says.
[12:24 PM]
He makes an effort to hide his excitement, but it’s given away by that glow in his eyes. They begin that game of tag with Rev being it. He chases after Ein through the thick jungle. Making sure to never lose sight of him. Lefts right left right up down. It doesn’t matter Rev is quick to track him. They both send out waves. Ein to try to see know where Rev is at and Rev to counter Ein’s. From Ein’s perspective, all he knows is that Rev is somewhere behind him. That’s good enough for him. He starts to run towards base camp. Rev sees what he’s trying to do and preemptively sends out 3 waves of source to counter the waves that’s Ein is bound to send out. While this is happening, Rev takes a shortcut to camp. Ein does at Rev has thought and sends out waves to see if Rev is still behind him. They quickly clash into the ones Rev has sent out. “You’ve gotten quicker, haven’t you?” Ein thinks. Rev has successfully tricked Ein and is on his way to set a trap for him. Rev makes it to the camp as fast as he can. Looking behind him, yo try to spot Ein. A task that proves to not be so difficult at his colossal size. Rev waits in a tree above, hiding in the leaves. He sees as Ein shoots out a source wave. Rev would expect nothing less from such a cautious man. This is why he sits night in a tree perfectly out of range. Then as the wave comes back to Ein Rev makes his move as he falls down Rev tree, casting the same trap Ein had gotten off on Rev days before. He quickly stops his fall and tags Ein’s extended hand.
“Tag your it” Rev says with a grin.
Ein laughs a hardy laugh “you really fooled me kid, I have to admit. You win this round.” Ein says.
He then runs some source to his wrist and shoots it out into the stone trap with intense force. It causes the stone to crumble at a simple pull of his arm.
[12:24 PM]
“There all free. How about we try to find ourself some food?” Ein suggests.
“Ok,but…I still haven’t seen any creatures lately.” Rev says.
“It’s fine. We will make it to Morton soon.” Ein says, trying to comfort Rev.
-Day 123 of the jungle.
“I can see it. It’s much bigger than before,” Rev tells Ein.
He then carefully climbs down the tree with swift movements.
“From the look of it we should make it in 2-3 days,” Rev predicts.
“Then we better make haste. Think Rev, the sooner we make it, the sooner you’ll be able to eat that food you like so much.” Ein tells Rev.
Rev’s eyes glisten at the thought of it. He runs off towards the city ahead. “That’s one one to motivate the kid,” Ein thinks.
-Day 124 of the jungle.
Rev could hardly sleep last night. But when he did, he dreamed of the meet he would eat in the city. For once Rev had woken up before Ein had.
“Come on Ein, wake up. If we leave now and hurry, we could make it by mid day!” Rev exclaims.
Ein rolls over “come on kid, did no one teach you the importance of sleep…” Ein says tiredly.
[12:24 PM]
“We can sleep better once we make it to the city. Come on, old man, you're the one that couldn’t stop talking about how great it will be in the city.” Rev tells Ein.
An unhidden smile appears on Ein’s face “ok ok child. Get our stuff packed up and we can head out.” Ein says.
“Ok!” Rev excitingly responds.
Rev runs around their camp, gathering their things. Then stuffing it into Ein’s huge back pack. He pushes back the pack to Ein.
“There all done! Now can we go?” Rev asks.
Ein stands up and puts on his ok back pack. “Ready as I’ll ever be, let head out,” Ein says.
They are off to Morton. Rev runs as Ein follows. “He doesn’t even run this fast when we’re playing tag,” Ein thinks. Never the less the move forward. Swiftly moving around the jungle terrain, that has become so familiar to them. Then it hits them in the first building they have seen in over a hundred days close up. It is in ruins, but still proves that they are close. As they run close and the sun reaches the middle of the sky, beaming down on them. More and more of these destroyed building appear.
This makes Rev uneasy. “What are all these buildings and why are they destroyed,” Rev asks.
“Don’t let it bother you too much Rev. These are simply building that where destroyed in the elf dragon war many years ago. This city used to be ruled buy elfs. This city was originally a base camp for the elves. Once the war was over, they forced the humans to turn it into one of their big cities, like back in Isha. It didn’t work out the jungle wasn’t an enticing location for elves to want to visit non the less live in. So they deserted it and left the humans along with it. The monster of the jungle brought over by the dragons would have killed the humans, but luckily, a blessing fell onto them. Judas, an elf of faith that rebelled against the king and was exiled by him, had found Morton and took it under his care. He is truly a blessed elf. One that took his blessing from the twin gods and used it to protect those who can’t protect themself.” Ein explains.
“hmm…” Rev wants to believe Ein and part of him does, but the other part can’t stop thinking about his last encounter with a blessed elf. He was powerless, and the hatred comes back in flashes as his memory of that day is stained in his him. His core memories are of tragedies, but he looks at Ein and can’t help but smile as his worry is washed away. “Ein would never lie to me.” Rev thinks. He runs forward faster than before.
-Morton has been reached.
Rev and Ein approach the outer wall of the city. “HELLO IT’S ME EIN,” Ein calls out.
A guard looks over the wall, and Ein looks up, smiling. The guard smiles back.
“OPEN THE GATES. WE HAVE A SPECAIL VISITER.” The guard calls out.
The gates begin to open. Ein and Rev are then escorted the inner city. Where the tallest building stands. Rev looks up and quickly jumps back. Judas is desisting from the sky.
“Don’t worry Rev, it's just Judas.” Ein says.
Rev takes a breath and walks back to Ein.
“Hello Ein, it's been so long,” Judas says hugging Ein.
“It really has.”
Judas looks around then at Rev. His gaze is felt at on Rev as he glares up at him.
“Woah!” Judas says as he walks over to Rev.
“Your eyes…there beautiful…. but,” Judas turn back to Ein “The rest of your party…”
“They died an honorable death. Protecting that child, in fact.” Ein says, still distant pain in his voice.
Judas looks at Rev in the eyes. “Blessed are those who die so others may live.” Judas says.
Rev stares back at him seeing the immense of source that lies with in him. “So bright…” Rev whispers.
Judas looks at him, confused. Ein steps in “Judas…the kid can see it. He can see source.”
Judas freezes in place, staring into Rev’s eyes. “Is that so…. can you…control it?” Judas asks.
Rev looks with in himself and at his hands “No child…. I mean with your eyes. Can you control source at just a glance?” He asks.
Rev looks confused “No…I don’t think so…” Rev responds.
Judas looks closer at his eyes. Then stands up “You are not like them child…maybe at least not eye. Your eyes…There the wrong color.”
Ein steps in. “Well, yes, he's a dark elf, but you probably already know that…” Ein says.
Judas turn to Ein “No friend, maybe my words were not clear. His eyes are the wrong color for a dark elf. His hair and skin are alike, but those eyes….there not fully there yet,” Judas say.
“Hey what’s that so to mean?” Rev asks.
“In truth, child, I don’y know. There hasn’t been a record of a dark elf with red eyes before.” Judas tells Rev.
