The dryad’s smile had captured her, as she pulled in for a passionate kiss. Her lips stolen, she merely let go and enjoyed, the soft feeling of her lips touching against hers.
Slowly, the separated, a silver bridge hanging between their lips. Diana looked at the woman, her beautiful green hair flowed. Her body naked, bare against the cold breeze of the setting sun. Her warm orange eyes stared back at her.
[The title [Friend of The Dryad] has been acquired. 5 Skill Point gained]
The screen flashed in her eyes, but she failed to notice it, her eyes still locked in a daze. Her body didn’t move a single inch, as the dryad pulled her in for another kiss. She slowly closed her eyes, her consciousness slowly fading away.
…………
“Ngh…?”
Rubbing her eyes, Diana slowly opened her eyes, the sky above now dark, the twin moons and the stars shining upon her. The moonlight lit upon this earth below. She groaned softly and got up, not realising that she was completely naked.
“Awake now?”
“Hmm…? Yeah.”
Looking behind her, she saw the dryad looking back. Her skin, slightly green, glowed under the moonlight. She sat by her large white flower, the pollen it…Wait a minute, did she just speak English?!
“Y-You know English?!”
“Just noticed?”
Diana recoiled in shock and fell onto her butt, her mind thrown in complete shock from this sudden revelation. But it lasted for short, as she began to cry, both in happiness and shock. She actually met someone else she could talk to!
The dryad didn’t understand why she was crying, but leaned closer and hugged her, pulling her in once more for another kiss. Her eyes shot open from the sudden notion, but she didn’t do anything.
She didn’t know Yuri felt this good…
“All better?”
“Y-Yeah…”
She wiped away the rest of her tears and smiled, somehow knowing that she didn’t mean any harm to her. Not all NPC’s were evil alright?
The dryad soon explained that the title she recently gained allowed them to understand each other, putting aside the language barrier they had between each other. Diana asked if she could do this to anyone, and she simply answered with a quick ‘Nope’.
Oh, and in the middle of their conversation, she also realised that she was standing naked. Blushing, she quickly asked for her clothes and put them back on. Being naked all the time wasn’t her forte, despite the fact that being a slime girl made her naked, but I digress once more!
Actually, let’s check her status for a moment.

{Titles}: [Slime Queen], [Friend of The Dryad]
[Friend of The Dryad]
A title granted to those whom the dryad trusts. +1 attributes to [Wisdom] and [Longevity]
That’s interesting…Her [Longevity] went up! From what the description says, [Longevity] is pretty much her life span. The more [Longevity] she had, the longer she would live, maybe? She didn’t know, but an increase was nice nonetheless.
In simple terms, another title, more bonuses! Yay~! More power to grant her more time to try and live in this damn world crawling with slimes and mushrooms!
Why does this remind him of Dragon Quest?
But…she’s still very sleepy. Her eye lids still felt very heavy, and despite her full SP, her energy wasn’t doing too well either.
“Do you want to sleep?”
She found herself nodding. The dryad simply smiled and pulled her closer, laying her head above her lap. She smiled in a daze before falling asleep once more.
……………
Morning came, and Diana had already gotten up. Sitting down on the flowers, Diana held out the tome she ‘Traded’ with that goblin towards the dryad. The dryad read the book for a moment, before she smiled awkwardly and gave it back.
“Do you want to learn this?”
“Un.”
The dryad smiled wryly at her answer. She didn’t really want to teach this, nor did she understand why she would want to learn it in the first place, but the serious expression she had, which did not suit her in the slightest, would make her feel quite bad to decline.
“Well…What part do you not understand?”
“This part. How do you even make the bubble?”
The dryad explained that she needed to first focus her mana into one point in her body, which she did already knew. After that, when she expelled out some of her mana, quickly mould the mana into the bubble. The concept was similar to her [Slime Magic], if not the same, but she explained that she needed to keep the walls thin, or the bubble would fail.
And so, began her training! She could easily focus her mana into one point, that being her right index finger, but the moulding part was where she got stuck. Every time, she would create a wall too thick, or a wall too thin. Finding the balance between them was hard as f*ck!

2 hours passed, and she had some progress on it, but she still failed to truly accomplish what she came for. She was able to form what looked like a bubble, but it would pop as soon as it started to float. Diana was annoyed, but stayed undeterred! The dryad on the other hand, was amazed at just how dedicated she was trying to learn this interesting magic.
4 hours, and finally! She succeeded!
[[Bubble Magic] has been acquired. 1 Skill Point gained]
She would’ve been super happy at this, if not for the description.
[Bubble Magic]
Lv 1/10
Allows you to form bubbles.
……That’s it. That’s all it had to day. Seriously?! Just bubbles?! She spent many days hyping this thing up, and this is the result?! This is just like No Man’s Sky all over again!!
But, let’s not get angry just yet. There might be something hidden in this magic! You know, like when a description doesn’t fully tell you about the skill and stuff?
……Nope. That’s it. She could form a bubble, change the shape a bit, and then move it around. No attack power, no defensive capabilities, no magic specialties, nothing. Just, bubbles. Would be great for a party, but not for battle.
“Diana?”
No! There might still be something hidden in the later levels! Yeah! That must be it! That can’t be the only thing it could do! There must be something else to this skill!
“Umm…Diana?”
The dryad’s calls came unheard as Diana’s energy returned once more. Her spirit danced as her heart lit a passionate flame. There was nothing useless in this world! Even the crappiest characters in the video game still had a use!
Picking up her staff, she began to train her [Bubble Magic] to the fullest. She created multiple bubbles, moved them around in unison, or separately, and changed their shapes mid-flight. She even created a useless wall of bubbles and slammed it against the flowers, popping all at once they met with the petals.
[Congratulations! [Bubble Magic] is now Level 2]
Not enough! This wasn’t enough! Her control has increased, but nothing major has changed! She must continue traaaaiinniiiinggg!!!!!!!!
…Or not.
“Hah…hah…”
Her MP was completely exhausted. Not even a single drop was left behind as they all ascended into the air. The dryad looked at her in utter disbelief, no believing that she actually spent her MP to do something as stupidly insane as that.
But Diana was not done! Sitting down with her legs crossed, she entered her trance and rested. Hours flew by, and Diana was back up, her MP back to full. Picking up her staff, she created her bubbles once more and began training once again.
The dryad yawned as she fell asleep in her white flower. Diana seemed to be stuck in her own world, so she didn’t really have anything to do, so why not sleep? With that thought, she climbed onto her white flower and slept.
Hours after hours flew by as Diana continued to meditate and train, the scenery around her covered in a uselessly terrific amount of bubbles. The sun slowly set into the horizon, as the twin moons rose up, but she didn’t even take a moment to notice.
The moon set, and the sun rose once more. Snapping out from her trance, she ignored the new day, and her growling stomach, and continued training. Her skill kept rising, her power over the magic rising ever more as she fought against her weakening body.
By the end of the fifth day, Diana was left completely exhausted, both physically and mentally. She collapsed onto the flowers, her face planted into the ground. Her staff laid beside her, seemingly also tired from the constant use. But it was well worth! Just look at this!
[Congratulations! [Bubble Magic] is now Level 4]
Level 4 man! Just look at that! That’s amazing! Caesar would be so proud right now.
Now, the moment of truth!
[Bubble Magic]
Lv 4/10
Allows you to form bubbles. You can control various aspects; Size, speed, and shape.
“…………”
……You know what? She’s done for now. She. Is. Just. Going. To. Sleep. Now. For some reason her life seems to feel worthless now. Reading the new ‘Improved’ description, her heart fell into the ocean, crashed into the wreck of Titanic, got eaten by a fish, said fish got eaten by a shark, and the shark swam away happily, knowing that it had eaten the spirit of a young female NEET.
…What kind of metaphor is that?!
F*ck this sh*t! She is going to cry herself to sleep now…
……………
The next morning came by, and the sun was back. The blue sky floated above, a sea of clouds soared within the sky. The winds softly passed by, as Diana slowly awoke from her sleep, her eyes still red from the tears she cried out the day before.
She stayed unmoving for a while, before she broke down and cried again, still not over the insane waste of time that damn skill was. Even the clouds felt her sadness, as a light drizzle came down from the clouds.
The drizzle soon grew into a rain. The drops of water landed on her cheeks, her eyes weakly looking up towards the cloudy sky above. Not bothering to speak or shout anymore, she simply laid her head back down.
Even the dryad didn’t know what to do but feel sad for her! She carried a basket of berries, but she wasn’t sure if she would even accept the food.
Que the sad music. *Imagine sad music playing in the background*
Alright, sad time is over, as she shot up from the ground and shouted many different curses she had learned from her years of being a holed up NEET towards this damned world. Her anger boiled over, aimed at the world, but mostly at herself for deciding to learn this useless piece of sh*t in the first place!
“D-Diana…”
The dryad’s worry was unheard as she continued to shout and curse towards the sky above, some words about her past life mixed in as well just for good measure. The dryad of course did not understand anything she said, nor did she understand the source of her anger, or sadness, or both.
After about 15 minutes of constant shouting and straining her vocal chords, she finally sat down and hugged her knees. She didn’t feel like living right now, so she’ll just curl up into a ball for a while and contemplate over her life choices for a moment. Yep, leave her alone please.
The rain continued to pour down, the grassy fields and the flowers were drenched in the rain, the world turned dark from the dark clouds above. The wind died down, as the world was left in a standstill.
…………
Okay, crying is over, and back to training! There needs to be something to distract her from this damn feeling!! Don’t laugh! Don’t joke! Serious time! This is reality, not her garbage dump of a room! She could die anytime here!
F*ck the bubbles, she’s going back to her roots!
Standing up, she took up her staff. Holding it with both her hands, she took a deep breath, and formed a small slime ball above her staff. The green blob floated and wobbled slightly, the drops of water mixing together with the slime, gaining a bit of extra weight.
She didn’t know what she really wanted to do with it though…Seriously, what should she do? Just make it fly around her? What would that do? Oh well, why not?
Increasing the density of the slime, she focused a bit more mana and moved the slime ball around her, the slime ball almost losing shape from the speed she made it travel. More and more water soaked into the slime, making it heavier and heavier, until finally, she lost control, and the slime ball went flying out into the distance, quickly followed by an explosion of dust.
…Huh? Wait a minute…That was almost like a Rasengan! But thrown! Isn’t that even better?! Alright, let’s try it again! She repeated the same steps, forming the slime ball, increasing the density, making it fly around her as more and more water soaked in, and bam! The slime shot out towards the ground, an explosion resounding upon impact!
[Tier 1 Spell [Slime Cannon] has been acquired. 2 Skill Point gained]
Oh. My. God.
That…That actually counted as a spell? R-Really?! That’s amazing! F*ck that [Bubble Magic] sh*t, this is the jam! Hell to the yeah!
Alright, let’s try this again!
…Maybe not.
Only realising it now, her MP count had dropped to 2, which meant that those two attacks costed her 14 MP, which was 7 MP every [Slime Cannon]. Damn, that’s expensive. Wait, did she just to internal maths?! She wasn’t even that good at math!
Anyways, that meant that she only had two shots of this magic, not that she cared all that much. One attack caused that much damage, then how about 2?! The damage dealt would be insane! She would get a flawless bonus!
With a renewed smile, she looked up towards the sky, watching as the rain clouds slowly began to depart, the golden rays of the sun shining through towards the world below.
