“…W, What does…that mean?”

Huh? ‘Not a being of this world’? Eh? Was his master getting too drowsy to think? Eh? EH?

Ilgua’s mind pretty much had malfunctioned. Well, hearing that something was ‘from another world that wasn’t ours’ would surely just make everyone go ‘…ah?’. Either that, or make other people look at you like a crazy person.

“Huah…Did you not hear…? She’s not from this world…”

“Eh? EH!? Seriously!? From another world!? Which world is it!? The spirit world!? Is she a spirit then!? No, wait. You said she’s a human, so…”

Well, this boy sure had some wild imaginations in his head. But, this boy sure was noisy, despite it being morning(evening) right now. Seriously, when’s the sun going to set? He wanted to just go back to sleep already~…

“Alright…Quiet down already…”

“S-Sorry.”

“…………Huah…I’m sleepy…save it for next time…Good night~”

And there he goes, lying back down on his comfy bed and slipping back to sleep. Mm~, maybe he should have some hot tea when he wakes up? Or some coff-

“M-Master! Please tell me!!”

“Hua…Fine, fine…just stop shaking me already~…”

“A-Ah, sorry.”

Without facing his disciple(and also while still lying on his bed), he began his little story time.

“First…You know the concept of being ‘spirited away’…I assume…?”

“You mean…When a person or any living being suddenly gets pulled into another world, right? But isn’t that just a myth that was told by one of the ‘Heroes’?”

“Riiight~…But, you know…Those…’Heroes’ aren’t wrong…By their perception, being brought to our world…is the same as being ‘spirited away’…”

‘Then, does that mean the person who ‘took down’ the Reaper was a hero? Or someone summoned from another world by one of the human kingdoms maybe? But there hasn’t been any info regarding hero summoning yet…’

“The ‘Hero summoning’ has nothing to do with it…”

“Eh!? M-Master read my mind!?”

“Obviously~…Moving on, transportation between different worlds doesn’t only have one route, you know…?”

Also, as a literate student and disciple, as Ilgua was hearing out his master’s explanations, he was also jotting down notes at speeds that would put even Sonic to shame.

“As an example…umm…there’s this phenomenon called a [Rift]. It happens…once in a while. For…unknown reasons, a tear in space will just…open, and connect to another world…”

“I-I didn’t know something like that existed…”

“Another option…would be the skill [World Transfer]…It does exactly what you’d expect…”

Actually, there was still several more known ways for one to travel between different worlds, but he couldn’t quite remember them all(and he’s too lazy to recall them all).

So, that’s when the question arises. Did she travel here ‘accidentally’, or did she come to this fantastical world intentionally?

But! Enough story time, he wanted to sleep now.

“Okay~…enough story…Now, go and get 3 winter feathers from the Ice Phoenix…then come back here. I’ll be sleeping here~…”

“E-Eh!? W-Wait, master! Tell me more!!”

“Zzzz…”

“Ahaha~, he’s already asleep…I guess I should head out now…and come back alive…haha…”

Meanwhile, back at the grassy green plains,

“Mrm~, it’s evening already, eh~?”

Standing naked, Diana could be seen, stretching her sore body. Seriously~, that fight with the reaper sure took out a lot from her…And she didn’t even get any Exp or loot from that guy!

Being bummed out aside, it’s evening now, and she hasn’t eaten in a while, so searching for some food now becomes top priority!

Well, that depends if anything even lived in this area, but I digress.

Anyways, [Searching for Food] Quest, has begun!

Her target for this evening was to find any small monster to kill, cook and eat! Well, more like roast than cook, since she didn’t have any kitchen utensils, and the only thing she could do was gather some sticks from the nearby bushes and make a fire.

Turns out, her luck wasn’t as bad as the last time she was in a grassy plain!

There in the distance, she spotted her prey, a defenceless grey wolf! I say ‘defenceless’, because as soon as it tries to bite into her, she could just turn into a slime and smack it unconscious with two [Slime Cannons].

[Enemy has been slain. Gained 55 Experience]

“He~, I haven’t seen that in a while.”

It’s true. If not wrong…the last time that appeared was back in…Tartarus? Yeah, right before she got sucked in by that black orb. After that…A whole lot happened, she happened to die, revive, and then, yeah.

On that topic, it’s been a while since she last checked her status. Might as well check!

……Eh? EH!? Level 13…? LEVEL 13!? Seriously!? When did that happen!? Last she recalled she was al level 7! She just, like, jumped 6 entire levels!

Oh…Wait, she did kill quite a lot of monsters back when she engulfed that entire room with corrosive slime, so that explains quite a lot, yeah? Still, seeing that high level still felt quite surreal for her.

Also, why was her Slime Queen still at level 1? Well, there might be some special way to gain levels, so that can wait.

Anyways, man~, look at her stats! Her HP went up, her SP and MP had a nice boost, all her stats(including her Longevity!) increased(especially Longevity!), her skills levelled up several times, and she even had 36 skill points now! That’s enough for another special skill!

But, save that for later. The sun’s setting-, ah, it’d already set, so she should head back as soon as possible. While on her way back, she also picked off some twigs from nearby bushes she happened to come by.

By the time she got back, Rei was already awake, her eyes shining as she eyed the dead wolf she was dragging along. Crystal was still asleep, and the golem core was…fine? She couldn’t really tell.

For starters, she used the twigs she gathered and created a small fire. Then, with the help of butcher Rei who happily sliced up the wolf, she stuck the wolf meat into the sticks as meat skewers and roasted them over the fire.

With some twirls and swirls over the fire, and the addition of ‘taste’ with her [Cooking] skill, the roasted wolf meat skewer, is now done and ready to eat!

“Umm, so~, how does it taste?”

“…Bland.”

“Well, I didn’t have any seasonings or spices to use, but once I get some, I’ll make some good food for you!”

“…Waiting.”

Also, while this nice casual conversation was going on, Crystal was actually awake, but she couldn’t find any good moments to jump in(and she’s also too shy to force herself into the conversation).

After a while, Rei finally noticed that Crystal was actually awake, and invited her to join the nice casual dinner they were having.

In the end though, the conversation ended up with Diana talking about the things she recalled from her home country, and what kind of foods they could buy there. It was then they learnt something known, as ‘Ramen’. Which happened to confuse them for a bit since Diana kept talking about it ‘being eaten from a cup’.

Anyways, with some more chapters about this thing called ‘Cup Ramen’ and some more wolf skewers, story time with Diana has officially ended…for now.

Since they were all energised now, and, well, it’s still night, but heck, why not go and explore this area for a bit? Was what went through Diana’s head as she snuffed out the small fire they had goin’ on.

So, under the blanket of twinkling stars, Diana and co got up and began their exploration!

And to maybe(hopefully) find some damn clothes for them to wear! Except for Rei of course, since she’ll just eat it if that happens.

But…Well, it’s night time, so there wasn’t much in terms of monsters or humans, since they should all be asleep right now. That’s a blessing in a sense, since less wasting of energy, but this was just…boring.

Look, even the golem core agreed! As it shined dimly in agreement.

Or that’s how it should be, if not for that conspicuous campfire Rei spotted in the distance.

Sitting around the fire, they could see several middle-aged men, with rugged faces and bland clothing. Swords, knives, and bows lie scattered around them. They also seem to be eating something, but she couldn’t tell from this far away.

But! If Diana could take a good guess, then those rugged grinning men, must be the oh so infamous, [Bandits]!

And that meant that they were hostile enemies, which then meant that a battle was going to occur!

“Hey, uh, guys? Mind if I take them all on?”

Although, she while this was supposed to be a ‘dangerous’ battle against ruthless bandits, there was something she wanted to try out. So, she wanted to take them all on alone. Technically, anyways.

“…Sure.”

“Yeah, go ahead.”

“Sweet~!”

If her eyesight hasn’t been declining from all the action she’s been doing, then there should be a total of 8 bandits sitting around that campfire.

First up, to prepare her battle regiments! To start, she created herself an army of 8 Dogoos, trained and commanded to specifically leap towards and into the bandits’ mouth and corrode them from the inside.

Gross, I know

Their tails wiggling with anticipation, the dogoos ran off towards the bandits, cloaked under the darkness of the night-, until they got close enough to the fire that is.

“Heyo, boss! Look, a bunch of slimes came our way.”

The first one to notice was the youngest of the bunch, the ‘noob’ as they call him. He’s more ‘level-headed’ than most of them, and handled the bow and arrow.

“Pfft, what? Scared or someii-, MMPPFFHH!?”

The one who replied was the ‘boss’ of the group, not that it mattered anyways! Since as soon as he opened his mouth, the dogoos suddenly sped up and leapt into his mouth, sliding their way down into his body!

As quickly as he was silenced, the corrosion got to work, and his body started to decompose before their very eyes, until only his dirty clothing was left behind. Of course, his bandit crew was absolutely terrified by this display and tried to run away, but the other dogoos quickly jumped into their mouths too and corroded them away.

Hmm…Although…Somehow, something about this feels wrong…Wonder why? Just, as she saw those men being killed in an instant, there’s an odd feeling in her stomach, but-, meh, maybe she’s just a bit too full after eating.

After their nice meal was done, all the dogoos returned to Diana and merged back with her.

With this, she completed two of her missions! First, get her and Crystal some damn clothes to wear, and more interestingly, she found out how to level up her [Slime Queen]!

[Enemy has been digested. Energy has been processed and stored]

[Congratulations! Slime Queen has levelled up to Level 2! Your stats have improved]

So, instead of simple ‘killing’ them, she needed to ‘process’ her enemies, if that even made any sense. In other words, she needed to (technically)’eat’ her enemies. By doing that, instead of Exp for her [Slime Virtuoso], she could get Exp for her [Slime Queen]!

As for the stat increase…It, was pretty much the same as her class. Each stat attribute rose by two or three, and that’s it.

It’s still amazing though!

Anyways, all that finished and done, they went over to the campfire. As planned, Crystal and Diana picked out some clothing and wore them, which still made them feel uncomfortable, since they didn’t have any panties to…yeah.

Diana didn’t mind it as much though, since she’s so used to having that exposed all the time.

Rei was…Oi, Rei was going up and eating the other pieces of clothing.

…That aside, there wasn’t much to this bandit camp, aside from the useless rusty weapons and the lingering smell of corroded bandi-

“…Diana. Here.”

“Hmm? What is-…Who’s this…?”

Never mind! As it turns out, there wasn’t just used weapons and the smell of dead bandits, hidden under a black cloak, Rei found an unconscious young girl, her hands and feet tied up. She was probably kidnapped by these bandits.

It seems she was still alive and breathing, just sleeping.

“Muu…?”

Oh~! Speaking of which, the girl had just woken up!

“Hello! Are you awake now?”

“Uu…? Who…are…?”

First off, she got Rei to slice off the rope on her hands and legs and helped her sit up. Alright, the first agenda in human conversation, the introduction!

“I’m Diana! Nice to meet you! How about you? What’s your name?”

“I’m…Anna.”

Now that she thought about it…huh…wait, this girl was also speaking in English!?

…Huh? Why did she think that? That’s normal. After all, English is one of this world’s main languages, right?

“Okay, good!......uh, so, where did you come from?”

When Anna heard that, her expression quickly darkened, and her eyes were cast down. If she could take a guess…

“I…My village was burned down…and I was kidnapped…and…and…”

Guessed it. It was the cliché ‘Oh no, my village was burned down, and my people were killed. I managed to live, but I got taken away by bandits!’ situation. But, still, hearing that story out for real, it just pulls her heart strings to hear it.

Since she didn’t know what to do(and she’s a terrible speaker), she could only silently wait as she cried her tears out, as the memories of that fateful day, where everything she had was taken away from her came back to haunt her.

After a while, her tears finally dried out.

“I’m…I’m fine…”

‘No you’re not.’

Now that all down and calm, here comes the next question,

“So…uh, what…do you want to do now?”

“What…I want, to do…?...I, I don’t know.”

Well, she did just got kidnapped by a group of bandits who burned down her village and killer her parents, got dragged all the way here, and woke up to see a certain slime queen greet her, so the ‘what to do’ part of her bucket list was still unfinished.

“…Eat?”

“Huh? Who was thaaAAAA!! A-A-A g-ghoul!?”

For some reason, as she turned around to face Rei, noticing the pale skin, the fanged teeth, and the small claws on her fingers, she freaked out and immediately backed away.

Of course, that’s completely normal, since normal human knowledge was to completely back away and run the opposite way from a ghoul, because their bloodthirsty killing machines, that ate up anything in their way.

And…well, they’re not wrong really. But Rei’s different!

“Oh, Rei? Don’t worry! She won’t eat you!......Right, Rei?”

“……Promise.”

Was what she said, but that seems fairly unconvincing, yeah? She’s got her two eyes locked on her, just in case she makes any suspicious advances.

“O-Okay…”

Well, even if that was the case, Anna’s still freaked the hell out, since it’s not everyday you would just stumble upon a ghoul.

All that aside, since Anna’s still unsure about what to do herself, then-!

“Hey~, why don’t you travel with us for a while? It’ll be fun!”

“T-Travel…with you?”

Having been born in a small village, raised in a small village, and worked in said small village, she was quite unsure as to how to travel. That, and her strength and stats were all pretty low. Heck, she hasn’t even gotten her first class advancement yet!

That sucks, yes, that’s obvious. But that also meant that she could experience the full satisfaction of gaining experience, levelling up, gaining skills, advancing classes, and other RPG-related fun stuff they could have!

“B-But, I’m…”

But of course, not everyone was like Diana and her gang, so her mental strength to stand her own ground was quite shaky.

Ha! Got what I meant!? Ground, shaky!? Since, ya know-!...haha…ha…

……Anyways, if she joined up with their group of powerhouses, she would just end up as extra useless baggage that can do nothing to match up against them.

But who cares about that stuff anyways~? Travelling the world was supposed to be fun, no matter who or what walks and laughs as you journey around! That’s just the art of adventure!

“Nah, it’s fine! Look, you’re fine with this too, right Rei, Crystal?”

“…Sure.”

“As long as she doesn’t slow us down, I’m fine with it.”

And there ya go! With those two’s acceptance, Anna will now be travelling with them, for some time at least. When she finally can hold her own and settle down, then that’s probably when they’ll leave her.

But, who knows what the future has lying in wait for them?

As of now, Diana’s main goal in life was to level up, gain more skills and travel the world in search of dungeons, treasure, and the many wonders this magical world had in store. Well, she’ll need to make sure not to mess up(and nearly gets everyone killed) the next time she goes into the dungeon.

Rei was just tagging along with Diana to have a taste at the exquisite array of food this world had to offer. That, and also waiting for Diana to finally start levelling up her [Cooking] skill and cook her some delicious cuisines.

And Crystal’s in the gang in search for some cool and awesome powers to gawk at!......Yeah, that’s it really.

“P-Please take care of me!”

“Will do!”

Alright! All of that’s done and dusted! Now,

“Everyone, let’s sleep!”

Diana declared with a fiery spirit, her fist raised into the air!

“……?”

“……Huh?”

“S…Sleep?”

Well, though she did say so with a strong and burning spirit, it was still quite underwhelming to suddenly be told to sleep, wasn’t it? And of course, the other three were just blankly looking at her.

“Well, let’s rest, right? Might as well wait for daytime until we travel again, you know?”

“…Just, wake?”

“Look, Anna’s all tired and ragged! And, besides! We don’t even know where to head next, so when we’re sleeping, I’ll send some of my slimy scouts to look around!”

“Oi, we just woke up didn-“

“Okay.”

“T-Thanks, M-Miss Diana.”

“…Don’t just-! Oi, she’s asleep already?”

And, in mere seconds, Rei lied down and slid back to her sleep, which was quite shocking, since they did just wake up, like, 30 minutes ago.

Anna also tried to go to sleep, using that black cloak she was lying under as a nice warm blanket against the cold night breeze, but, well, she did just get kidnapped by bandits, and then saved, so many things were going on her mind right now.

Crystal was the only one reluctant to sleep, since her energy levels were still top-notch. Being the slight battle-lover she is, she decided to go around this grassy plain and fight some monsters, hopefully. Fearing she might be a Zoro and get lost, she created a small Dogoo to sit on her shoulders to help her find her way back here.

Diana, as she explained, created several different dogoos, all with the same command to go scout around to see if there are any settlements in the distance. That, and try to kill and digest every monster they see and come back to her the next morning.

And so, with all her dogoos marching off with a mission, she yawned and lied down next to Rei and slept.

Oh, and she also ended up hugging Rei in her sleep. S-She was asleep, okay?
