But, how to say it~? This human was…amusing. As an undead ghoul, she had lived to see many decades fly past her eyes. She had seen many kinds of humans. Smart ones, greedy ones, yummy ones, smelly ones, and stupid ones. Diana probably would fit in well with the last one.
But they all had something in common. In her presence, they would all piss their pants! And that should be normal! Under the presence of a stronger enemy, the weak shall cower in fear, and the strong shall devour the weak! That’s how this world works!
Was this girl just so stupid to the point where she forgot fear or something? The ghoul seriously pondered if that was the case as Diana continued to worriedly nag on her, trying to finally press the Mercy button on the bottom right of the screen!

……Hup, that was stomach. Uwah~, that was embarrassing! She almost forgot that she hadn’t eaten in a while in the midst of this tense persuasion! Ooh, she could already imagine what face Crystal was making right now! She was probably smirking or something!

But! To her surprise, the ghoul was the first to talk! And it was about her hunger! Was that a hint on what she liked to do?! Though, should she answer yes? I mean, she is a ghoul, so she could be eating human flesh for all she knows, and she is NOT going to become a cannibal, nu-uh!

And…the ghoul just turned around and left. Well, mission accomplished, I guess? The ghoul was offering some food though, and she was hungry, and she might die of starvation soon, and-, ah, whatever! She’ll just see first!

“That’s a ghoul, you idiot. You’ll be eating dried human meat for all I care.”

Surprisingly, the ghoul wasn’t, eating, human meat? Actually, she didn’t know. It didn’t look like human meat on the surface anyways. But then, what meat, was this? It also smelled pretty good.
“Oh. It’s Zombie Jerky.”
“Z-Zombie jerky?!”
Thanks for the explanation, Crystal! Although she could’ve gone without it! It might not be human meat per se, but zombies are human corpses, yes? Doesn’t that mean that Zombie Jerky was also Human Jerky, just, previously rotten and harder to eat? That’s the same as cannibalism!

Okay, maybe not just people. There were many kinds of food out there, waiting for someone to discover and eat them! Perfect for an undead gourmet like her!

And just like that, the persuasion was finally over, and a new party member has been acquired! Heck yeah! Now her group’s a party of 3 people! Well, 4, if you count in Slimey, but he’s a slime. Then again, Crystal’s a spirit weapon, Diana’s a slime girl, and she’s a ghoul. So there wasn’t any humans on the team, was there?
Nevertheless, [New Party Member Acquired!]. And now, it was time, to continue the adventure, and proceed on into the next arc of the story!

Oi, oi! What the hell’s about that treatment?! She didn’t know anything about that! And how did Crystal know about that? When they were at the edge of the forest, battling against the ghoul, she sure did not see any death god waiting to slice her head off.

“For now, probably not. I might be able to hold him off for some time, and you’ll die faster than Sonic’s running speed. I don’t know about her though.”

S-Seriously? Even these two, who were leagues after leagues above and beyond her, were still too weak to kill, or at least defeat that guy?

Since then, about 6 days had gone by. And in that time…nothing much had happened really. All that really happened was just many continuous training sessions, done over and over again, to finally try and break through to level 10.
As of now, Crystal was out hunting for some more zombies to dry and turn in jerky, while Diana was taking her time training her [Slime Valley] and [Slime Magic] together with Rei. Oh, and Slimey’s out scouting the area for any interesting locations.
Huh? Who’s Rei? Well, since Diana was getting tired of calling her just ‘Ghoul’, she decided to give her the name Rei, who was the VA for a certain female Zombie from a certain Harem Anime about monster girls.
Right now, according to Crystal, there seems to be some restrictions she needed to fulfil before she could level up. What these restrictions were, she did not know, but they were surely related to her [Slime] based skills.
Her [Slime Magic] had already reached level 4, but nothing’s changed. That led her to believe that it was her [Slime Valley] that needed levelling instead. And, that kinda made sense. [Slime Valley] was the first [Slime] based skill she got. Right now, her [Slime Valley] was at level 3, but she could feel it! She could feel that level up coming!

From the get go, [Slime Commander] immediately falls off the list. That class was related to her [Slime Army] skill, which was something she rarely uses. [Slime Gladiator] was nice to boost her physical abilities, but she also heavily relies on her magic, so, nope.
Now, it’s down to the last two, [Slime Mage] and [Slime Virtuoso]! Both of these classes look tempting on their own. [Slime Mage] focuses more on her Magic side, while [Slime Virtuoso] is more of a balanced type, nudging both in physical and magical strength, but not to the extent like the other skills.
She thought about it hard, so much so that steam would probably rise out from her ears if this was an anime, but after some time, she just finally decided to embrace being the all-rounder type.
