[[Slime Army] has been acquired]
“Ehehe~, I finally have them all~”
Oh yeah. Look at that. Two new skills, bam! Thanks to the previous new title she got, her skill points jumped up to 34, which meant that she could pretty much get the other two skills! Haha! This was great!
But her destroyed staff wasn’t so great! She teared up a bit as she picked up a piece of its former glory. It wasn’t going to be easy without this big guy…Casting and using magic would surely become much harder!
Alright, enough brooding and standing around, the dryad needs help! Oh crap, was she even alive?! She quickly ran over to her, and she’s gone…Eh? What the? There’s only a hole here! Where did she go?!
Peeping her head through, she got a quick look at the other side. A cave, those blue crystals, and more mushrooms. Did the dryad head down this way? Seeing as there was no way to escape this room, that was most likely. So, with that thought, she walked through and stepped onto the other side.
Hey, should she take these mushrooms? Were they even useful in any way? Well, a certain ordinary magician should be happy about this! Anyways, the caves seemed to be light enough, so walking through shouldn’t be that much of a problem to her.
Holding her silver knife, she sighed and walked on. Being reminded of those nasty spiders from before, she kept her guard up at maximum. She wouldn’t want to get assaulted by spiders, or by bats, or by anything!
Step by step, she made her way through the silent caves. The first minute or so passed by rather silently. After that passed, she began to see dead corpses of many different monsters, plastered and scattered all over the ground. A sign of the dryad!
But that carnage was accompanied by a huge claw mark across the cave wall. Three huge slashes scarred the wall, not something the dryad could do, probably. She didn’t know her full abilities yet, so she couldn’t be too sure.
Passing that, more and more corpses piled up across the stone floor. Blood splattered all over the stone, slashes scarred across the floor. Geez, she really did leave a mess, didn’t she?
“Kiki…”
“Sh*t.”
Well, looks like there was a survivor! A small little cave rat! Its blue fur shivered as it walked out from the cover. Its beady red eyes stared at her, almost begging her to drop everything and pet him, and she almost did, if not for the huge sharp teeth it displayed rather openly.
“[Slime Cannon]!”
Forming a slime ball within her hands, she held it out, and fired! The sphere collided with the rat, sending it flying back, but by no means killed it. From the puddle of blood, it rose out, its blue fir tainted red from blood.
“Ki-“
“[Slime Cannon]!”
She shot out another sphere, speeding and crashing squarely on the rat’s face. It wobbled, before falling down into the puddle of blood, its red eyes looking on lifelessly.
[Enemy has been slain. Gained 7 Experience]
You know? She was kinda hoping for her [Slime Cannon] to level up, but it seemed like it wasn’t its time yet. Oh well, she still could wait. Ooh, although, her MP was dropping quite low. Using any magic for now shouldn’t be too great.
She did still have her knife, but seeing as all the monsters here were quite agile, physical attacks would be quite hard to pull off without some insane Mission Impossible moves. And she hardly exercised in her past life! So nope!
Anyways, when was this trail of corpses and blood going to end? It’s been about 5 minutes or so of her just walking past them, and they it didn’t look like it was ending any time soon.
“Spoke too soon.”
She stopped before another large stone door, the same purple runes stretched across the stone surface. The lines glowed with energy, pulsing with mana. The blue light of the crystals merged with the purple glow.
Ah, but she can’t even push the door open. Even with her using her whole body and pushing it, the door wouldn’t budge even an inch. She even tried adding slime onto the door and pushed, but it didn’t matter, and her MP wasn’t looking too good either! So let’s stop that.
“Hmm…What should I do?”
Now she really was stuck. Before her was a large door, too big for her to open. Her slim arms carried no power behind them, her MP was running low, and the one person she knew who could open this door was missing. What can she do now?
…And then it hit her.
“Ah! I’ll just do this!”
Yeah, this should work! There’s still a small gap in between the doors, so she should be able to pull this off! Alright, clothes, you’re going off! Now naked, she took a deep breath, and activated [Slime Valley]!
In her slime form, she easily squeezed through the small gap between, and popped out on the other side! Plan success! Ah, but she’s naked now. It’s cold, and dark. Luckily, she was still able to pull her clothes through the small gap, but her knife was a loss cause.
Crap, she’s unarmed now. Her staff’s gone, her knife’s left behind, and her MP had just dropped below 10. She’ll be screwed if she encounters something here!
Well, let’s push that aside for now. Looking up, she stared upon the room before her, and soon, she realised that she was pretty much f*cked.
“It’s a maze?!”
It’s a maze!! It’s a f*cking MAZE?! Why?! Why a maze?! She hated mazes! And she didn’t have any weapons to defend herself! How to f*ck was she supposed to pass through this?! And she could hardly see anything!
Diana sighed and rubbed her temples. Getting worked up wouldn’t do her any good. She’s stuck here, she should deal with it. Brooding and cursing to herself would not bring her anything, if anything, it would probably attract more monsters, which would f*ck her up even more.
Alright, rule number one, always stick to the left! Following the left wall, she began to explore the dark maze. 5 minutes passed, and she hit a dead end. Greeaaatt…She’s stuck already. Well, let’s head back…Which way is that again?
You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.
“Crap, I’m lost.”
Well, sh*t. She’s lost, within a room with almost no lighting. How was she supposed to head back to the start?! F*cking mazes. Alright, stick to the right wall, maybe we’d get through this hell hole!
And…Nope. 10 minutes passed, and she found herself planting her face into another dead end. Cursing softly, she rubbed her face and turned back. Sticking to the right wall, she walked through the maze, occasionally face-planting and cursing into the darkness.
1 Hour passed, still no visible progress. Not visible, because she couldn’t even see! Come on, give her a [Night Vision] skill or something already! She desperately needed it!
2 Hours later, and she was starting to get peckish. It had been some time since her last actual meal, and her hunger was beginning to catch up. This wasn’t good, not at all! What do you think would happen if she starved to death, here?! She would probably get eaten by rats or something!
4 Hours, still nothing. She could clearly feel her hunger now. Her stomach was growling here and then, and her world was beginning to twist and turn. Why did she enter this maze again? Her mind was getting blurry.
6 Hours, and she was almost ready to give up on everything. Seriously, she needed to escape or she might develop some mental illness. Ah…Going crazy didn’t sound too bad actually.
8 Hours, and she really was beginning to grow crazy in this dark maze. She began to giggle and laugh on random intervals, and random emotions began to surface as she smashed her fist against the stone wall.
10 hours passed, and as she was walking aimlessly, she felt something streaming down the wall. She was confused at first, but after several taste tests, yes, ‘Taste Tests’, she realised that this was ‘water’!
In a haste, she brought her face close and licked the streaming water, doing her best to ingest as much water as she could. Her throat felt as dry as the desert, and any water she could get was pretty much a blessing!
“Mmm~”
Of course, that wasn’t ‘Water’.
“Abababababababababababababa”
Collapsing, Diana struggled as she suffered a seizure, shaking uncontrollably across the stone floor. Well, that was what she got for drinking some unknown liquid off a stone wall within a dungeon!
5 minutes of pure seizure attacks, she finally stopped moving, only left with 1 HP! Ha! She was alive!! Oh wait, her MP and SP were on the verge of running out too…Damn, what the hell did she just drink?!
…………
Within the same corridors, a creature lived within. Its large black claws shone within the darkness, gleaming with bloodlust. Two pairs of purple eyes stared out into the shadows. Its figure diluted within the darkened maze.
Just like always, it was taking its casual stroll through the corridors, just, enjoying life. Maybe eat some humans that got trapped here, you know, usual stuff. And today, there was a particularly tasty smell.
With its mind set, it set out, following the smell to its origins. After some time spent navigating its large body through the maze, it finally found the origin of the smell! Slowly, it leaned closer, and closer…
Opening its large mouth, it extended its large tongue out. Slowly, the tongue lowered down, moved a bit, and…
Licked the wall.
What? You thought it was going to eat the pitiful excuse of a meal under it? No! Why would it? It smelled terrible and it had nearly no mana! Why would eat that when this liquid had so much more mana?
Pulling its tongue back in, it turned around and headed back to its home, leaving behind Diana, who was silently crying on the inside. What? You thought she was unconscious? Of course not! The moment that monster came close, her mind went on full alert and alarms of danger blared.
“Am I not enough?! Even water was more valuable than me!!”
Was what she thought as she curled up into a ball and cried. Get away! She didn’t even want to look at herself anymore!
[[Danger Perception] has been acquired. 2 Skill Points gained]
“S-Shut up! You’re not helping!”
-Several minutes of contemplating life choices later-
“Hic…hic…I w-wanna die…”
-Several more minutes of hitting her head against the wall later-
“M-My head…Ah…”
-And several more minutes of cursing and shouting later-
She was finally ready to depart once more! Her condition wasn’t the best, not by a long shot, but hey! She needed to move damnit! She couldn’t stay here crying and contemplating her life, no matter how much she wanted to curl into a ball and die that moment.
Standing up, she wiped away her tears and sighed. Following her usual tactic, she stuck onto the right side of the wall and walked on, simply letting her feet take her. Moments later, she bumped into a dead end and turned around. A minute after that, she slipped and fell flat on her face.
Some time after that, she spotted a small mushroom amidst the darkness. Its cap glowed a soft yellow hue. Using her many years of experience, there was no doubt that this was poisonous! So what did she do? Pluck it out and use it as a light source!
Using her newly acquired light source, she made her way through the maze, and ended up at the entrance. Eh? What the? How did she end up here?! Well, let’s continue walking then!
…Oi. What’s this? Why was the exit door right next to the entrance?! It didn’t even take her a minute to make it all the way!! Did she spend all that time there just to see this?! Was the dungeon trying to troll her?! If it was, then good job! You succeeded, you bastard.
Walking up to the door, she nearly cried as she rubbed her face against the stone surface, savouring the feeling. She’s been stuck in this maze for almost half a day, okay?
Ah, but she can’t open the door. F*ck. Well, guess [Slime Valley] was coming up next! Taking her clothes off, she shifted into her slime form and squeezed through the small gap in between. Pulling her clothes through, she took a deep breath, and shouted!
“I’M OOUUUTT!!!!! F*CK YEAAAHH!!!”
She almost cried as she rubbed her cheeks against the cave wall. Never in her life had she been so happy to see a cave! It almost felt like reuniting with a lost lover! Oh, how she missed this feeling!

Level up!! She only levelled up once, but she didn’t care! She got out alive, and she was happy! No special bonuses, who cares?! 300 Experience was already a whole lot!
That aside, she really was racking up the skills, wasn’t she? She should really start levelling her own skills up before she gained new ones. Levelling [Internal Mana Manipulation] wouldn’t be that bad of an idea too!
Alright, enough of that, let’s continue! The soft blue glow surrounded her as she walked through the silent cave, her steps echoing through the empty halls. Small trails of magic floated within the air.
Soon enough, she reached the next room. Thankfully, there weren’t any doors blocking her, so she didn’t need to transform! Heck yeah! Her MP was quite low, and she didn’t feel like wasting them any time soon. Instead, the door was missing, leaving the next room visible to see.
Walking through, she stepped into the next room, breathing in the warm air. Now, what was her next trial? It wasn’t a maze is it?
Yes, and no. It wasn’t maze, but it was a puzzle instead. *Yaaaaay* Well, at least this one was slightly better than a dark maze with almost no light in it! She’s played many puzzle games before, she should be able to do this!
Little did she know that she would be spending the rest of the day crying out in frustration.
-Meanwhile, back at the dryad’s flower garden-
*Boink?*
Jumping out of Diana’s leather backpack, Slimey appeared, finally awake from its slumber! Looking around, it was shocked to see its master nowhere in sight. Only a batch of flowers surrounded it!
*Boink!*
Found her! She was in a dungeon! Using the familiar connection she established with it, Slimey hopped across the empty plains towards the entrance of the dungeon. There, it stopped before a lone tree.
Ah, but how was it supposed to go in? The arch that the dryad opened had closed up! Opening it by force was pretty much impossible for it. But then, it noticed a small gap within the tree, which seemed to lead down into a dark corridor.
*Boink, Boink!*
Hopping in delight, it squeezed through the small gap, and popped out on the other side. With its mind set on its master, Slimey began its journey to return to its master!
Sadly, Slimey’s journey through the corridor wasn’t that interesting, so let’s jump back to Diana! Unless you want to read about a slime rolling through a dark corridor thinking about random things that is!
-Back at Diana-
“F*cking stupid lever! Just open the f*cking vault already!!!”
*Click!*
“No!! Not that one! The other f*cking one!! AGH!!”
*Click, clack!*
“Just open-, hah…Just end me…”
Yeah, let’s save that for the next chapter…
