Where's My Unique Skill?! [Discontinued]
[10] She's A Peasant No More!!

[10] She's A Peasant No More!!

“My heeeaaad!!!”

Diana cried out as she clutched her head in pain, throwing away the small note book in her hand. Her head felt like it would explode right now!! She didn’t even know she could feel this much mental pain from reading a book!

“A-Are you okay?”

The dryad tried asking Diana, but it seems her question was immediately dismissed. Diana groaned softly and punched her head several times, hoping the pain would go away. And of course not, as her HP actually decreased.

After the rain finally broke away, Diana asked the dryad to teach her this world’s language. The dryad raised an eyebrow at her, but decided not to question it. Brining out her small notebook, she began teaching the barebones of this world’s language.

2 hours later, this was the result. Diana was left knowing not much more about the language, and a whole lot of pain as her cranium tried to digest the insane knowledge burst it received, much to her dismay.

Alright! Enough learning!! Her head couldn’t take anymore!! Give her something to do!! Give her gaming consoles back damnniitttt!!! But alas, that was impossible. The warmth of her gaming room was too far to reach. May it forever rest in peace, knowing that it would probably get bulldozed sooner or later.

“Hah…hah…”

“D-Diana? Hello?”

Diana slowly brought her hands away from her head, careful to try and not inflict any more pain into her soft little brain. Setting her hands down on the flowers, she sighed softly and looked up, her eyes burning as bright as the sun.

“I’M FIIINNEEE!!!!”

With a vigorous shout, Diana shot up, her hands raised up as far as she could pull off. The dryad looked at her for a moment, somewhat lost in thought, before giggling softly. Smiling at the re-energized Diana, she stood up and fed her the berry she had been wanting to give her since, well, who knows.

“First, eat.”

She almost moaned as she felt the sweetness melt in her mouth. She instantly recognised these berries as those libido increasing berries, but why wasn’t she going insane yet? Did the dryad tamper with them slightly?

Why is she feeling slightly disappointed?

“Mm~, Thanks.”

“No problem.”

The dryad giggled softly and offered her another one, and she immediately accepted. The same sweet and warm feeling entered her once more. This time, she did moan, but the dryad seemed fine with it.

Ooh, she might go insane if she ate another one…Let’s rest for now. Puffing out some air, she sighed and sat back down, the pain from trying to learn that language had mostly faded away. She blushed as she looked up to the naked dryad, the effects of the berries somehow making her embarrassed.

“D-Do you wear clothes?”

“Hmm? Do you not like my body?”

“N-No! I-I enjoy looki-, I mean, don’t you feel cold?”

The dryad shook her head and smiled, eating one of the berries from the basket she was carrying. The dryad seemed largely unaffected by the berry, her expression staying very much the same. Was she resistant to it by any chance? Was that why she didn’t mind her moaning just then?

Wait, does a skill like that even exist?

“A-Ahem. Anyways, are there any places with more monsters?

“More monsters? There is, but…”

“There is?! Can we go?!”

She instantly asked as such, her eyes pretty much glowing gold. The dryad looked at her awkwardly, not really sure what to say, but after seeing her puppy eyes, she immediately resigned the battle and decided to lead the way. Diana jumped for joy, landing on the ground clutching her knee when she fell.

“Let me get ready for a moment.”

The dryad said playfully as she turned away from her, who was still holding back her tears as she clutched her painful knee. Chanting several words into the air, several vines rose from the ground and wrapped around her, combining to form a one-piece vine dress over her naked body. A line of white flowers grew around her dress, as a spear of vines formed in her hand.

“Shall we leave?”

She asked, a slight hint of seriousness mixed in together. Diana lost herself for a moment, staring at the beautiful figure before her. Pulling herself together, she picked up her silver knife and her staff. She stood up and nodded, smiling confidently at her companion.

“Let’s leave then.”

Leading the way, the dryad walked on, leaving the flower circle behind. Diana looked back, somewhat sad that she was leaving the flowers behind together with Slimey, but knowing that she would return here once again, she felt slightly at ease.

But what if she never returned? What if she never found her way back, or if she died? That thought sent a shiver running down her spine. She would never dare to leave behind that adorable slime!!

The walk there was mostly silent, with the wind occasionally chiming in to fill the silence. The grass sang together with the passing wind. The rising sun in the distance rose from the horizon, the sky painted in a mix vibrant colours. The stars blinked at them both.

By the time the sky had fully turned blue, the finally reached their destination…A single tree. Wait a second, didn’t she visit this place before? You know, where she killed that boar and got the [Cooking] skill? What’s so special about this tree?

Standing before the lone tree, the dryad chanted a song in a strange language, the air around them seemingly vibrating from every word she sang out. The leaves of the lone tree lit up a soft purple, as the earth below rumbled. A small arch opened within the bark of the tree, leading into a tunnel that goes deeper into the earth. Diana gulped as she viewed the tunnel. She wasn’t going to regret this, was she…?

She probably will, knowing her luck.

“Diana?”

The dryad called out from within the tunnel, already entering on her own. Not wanting to be alone, she quickly ran in, the arch behind them closing as she blended into the shadows.

“Dark…”

“Wait a minute…”

Chanting some more words, a yellow flower grew on her hair, lighting up the tight tunnel they were in. The tunnel looked…normal. It was just like any tunnels she had ever seen, not implying that she actually went through a tunnel. She would never dare to do such a thing!

“Don’t get too far.”

Following closely behind, Diana slowly made her way through the dark tunnels, the yellow flower on the dryad’s hair serving as the sole light source in this darkened tunnel. The tapping of their feet echoed through the tight halls of stone.

Slowly, the tunnel began to head down, deeper into the earth. The slight descent soon turned into a downward slope. They slowed down as they crawled through the tunnels, making sure not to slip or they would pretty much die. Well, that’s questionable for the dryad, but it’s imminent death for Diana. So, yeah, let’s not do that.

As they got farther and farther in, the tunnels began to expand, growing bigger as the walls began to move away from them. By the end of the tunnel, the tight corridor was led into a spacious cave. Blue glowing crystals littered the walls, lighting the room in a blue hue. The dryad removed the yellow flower on her hair and prepared herself, her vine spear armed.

Diana tensed up, knowing that something was definitely coming. I mean, the dryad’s getting ready, the room looks like a boss room, and they just walked down a sloping tunnel from a tree that just magically opened up. Yep, this is definitely a dungeon, alright.

“Here it comes.”

A burst of magical energy gathered in the centre of the room, shaking the stone around it. The cave walls trembled under the magical might that gathered in the centre. A bead of sweat rolled down her face as she tried to picture what kind of boss she would be faced against.

The gathering of magic lasted for about a minute, before an explosion resounded through the room. The stone rumbled as they both readied themselves, the dryad with her spear, and Diana with her staff. A surge of magic rose as a being rose from the stone.

The being was…A giant slime! *Que Joseph Joestar’s ‘OH MY GOOOD!!’ scream*

“Oh…My.”

The being slowly turned towards them, a wave of mana passed over them. Diana almost screamed as she felt tripped, while the dryad remained focused, her eyes vigilantly locked onto the first boss of the dungeon.

Why is it always the slime?! Is her first everything going to be a slime?!

The dryad was ready to leap at the slime, but a sudden change in pressure stopped her. The heavy pressure of hostility was no more, as the large slime slowly crawled its way towards them. She no means let her guard down, but the slime no longer showed hostility. Why?

She knew why soon enough.

“N-No…D-Don’t…”

Diana tried crawling away, but the tunnel was an upwards slope. She couldn’t escape. Was she done for? Was this how her life would end? By a slime?! Seriously?! Why isn’t the dryad doing anything?! Please attack iiitt!!

And then, the slime stopped right before Diana. She looked up to it, her eyes swimming around as she tried to cast her magic, but her fear stopped her from doing so. The slime slowly bent down, and…rubbed against her cheek.

“H-Huh…?”

There were no attacks. There was no magic. No hostility loomed in the air. Just…playfulness? What?! This IS a boss, isn’t it?! Why isn’t it attacking her at all?! That’s not how this works! Why is she even trying to reason with this?!

Okay…Calm down. Let’s take a serious look.

What titles does she have? [Friend of the Dryad]? No! Not that one! The other one, yeah, [Slime Queen]. What does its description say?

[Slime Queen]

A title granted to those who have been crowned as the leaders of the slimes. Slimes are naturally friendly to you. Gives access to [Slime Valley]. Any [Slime] related skills gain a slight experience boost.

There! What does the second line say? ‘Slimes are naturally friendly to you’? Hmm…I wonder what that means…Hhhhhmmmmmm…

Okay, it just means that all slimes are friendly NPCs.

And then, a string of long message appeared before her eyes.

[1st Boss of the Crystal Caves has been cleared! Gained 150 Experience]

[No damage bonus! Gained 50 Experience]

[The title [Conqueror of Slimes] has been acquired. 5 Skill Points Gained]

[Class Evolution is now available]

“Awawawawa…What’s all this?!”

What is all this?! Wait uuuppp!!! The boss is not dead yet!! Why does it say [1st Boss cleared]?! The slime is still alive, rubbing against her cheek like a clingy lover! Someone please explain what is happening!!

“Umm…Is this okay?”

The dryad silently asked as she looked at the cornered Diana, her eyes showing pity as she bumped her head against the wall. For some reason a part of her felt cheated for beating the first boss this easily.

With the boss cleared, the slime began to fade away, the dungeon simply deeming the battle over. The slime rubbed against her cheek one last time, before it completely disappeared into the air. Trails of magic floated in the air.

“Diana? Are…Are you okay?”

“I’m…hic…I’m fine.”

Standing up, she wiped away the tears from her eyes and smiled. She didn’t know why she was crying, but she didn’t care too much about it. For now…She won!! Haha! Take that dungeon! She beat it without even attacking!!

Glitches be abound! Hail exploits!!

Damnit! If only she had 1 more Point, she could get the 3 of them! How unlucky!! All these skills sounded so good! Now…Which one to choose…?

She decided to take some time to think. Little did she know that some time meant spending a couple hours brooding over which skill to pick.

The dryad could only helplessly watch as Diana mumbled and whispered to herself about which skill to pick. Poor dryad.
