A beautiful day had arrived! The golden sun shone high above, together with the fluffy clouds. A canvas of blue stretched out into the beyond. The soft passage of the wind moved through the morning.

Standing there, Diana muttered so, enjoying the warmth she had missed. A blissful smile could be seen on her face, enjoying the wonderful weather.

“What the hell are you saying, dumbass?”

And just besides her, Crystal said so, clearly not enjoying Diana’s attitude. Look around first, damnit!

Surrounding them, a group of undead zombies and living skeletons stood. Ah, I guess she was Left 4 Dead then! Wait, that game didn’t have skeletons, did it?

Going back a bit, after Diana had secured Crystal some casual clothing, they readied themselves and headed for the exit! Ah, but where was the exit? No new tunnels had opened up here, and she didn’t have an escape rope with her…

She also considered using Crystal to pave her own way out, but that’ll probably damage her mental health even more.

She tried asking Crystal several times, but she only laughed at her confusion. She received a beautiful [Slime Cannon] straight after.

Finally, just before her impatience overtook her senses, a magic circle drew itself in the centre of the cavern. Together with Crystal, they stepped onto the magic circle, and disappeared.

Moments later, they arrived on the surface. From the happiness, she dropped down onto the purple grass and rolled around, gleefully enjoying the feelings she had missed. “Stop acting like a kid and get up, you sh*t head.” Was the response Crystal gave, but it was splendidly igno-

Standing up, she looked down to see that the grass, that thing that she had been stepping on, was purple! Eh?! And there was a thin fog floating above the ground! How did she miss this before?!

And more than that, all the trees were dead! The trees had no leaves growing, and the wood had withered away! Didn’t she enter from that huge tree?!

C-Could it be?! Did the tree wilt and die?! Did centuries fly by without her noticing it?! Was the world dead and desolate now?! Did she get sucked into Fallout without he knowing?!

No! Keep positive! Get positive thoughts! Yeah, this might just be a different place! Maybe the teleportation circle messed up and sent her to a different location! It happens sometimes!

But then, out of the shadows, a group of undead appeared! Gross rotting zombies and living skeletons! Yikes! This really was Fallout!

And so, that brings us back here, with Diana and Crystal surrounded by a horde of undead monsters. It seems a battle was inevitable!

Oh, there’s Slimey here too, but he won’t be fighting anytime soon, so, yeah.

“[Slime Cannon]!”

First attack! A sphere of slime shot out and crashed into one of the skeletons, knocking its skull straight off its flimsy neck. Instant kill!

Realising that its head had been blown off, the headless skeleton rushed forward and attacked her! Luckily, she managed to slip under the skeleton and survive! Ah, but all the undead are looking at her now.

“[Slime Cannon]!”

Another ball was shot out, colliding with the belly of an unsuspecting zombie. The rotting guy staggered a bit, but came back better than ever. This time, all the zombies roared in unison, and began to chase her! Crap!!

“Oi! Help me here!!”

“Help yourself, b*tch.”

To her call, Crystal merely replied with a casual tone, not even bothering to look at her. Obviously, she was still displeased for what she did! Recruiting a comrade wasn’t as easy as going to a tavern and throwing out some money, okay?!

Without looking back, she ran into the dead woods, closely followed by a horde of living corpses.

20 minutes later, she returned, still being followed by the zombie horde! Just, with less stamina than before! Yay~! What a great start to the day!

Oi. Why were the skeletons staying dormant? At least give chase too! Hey! Don’t look at her with pity! She didn’t need any pity from living skeletons!

“Grraaaa!!”

“Hii?!”

And the noises they make!! Agh, its disgusting! If only they were weak to sunlight!!

Damnit! She needed a weapon! If not, she’ll be joining the undead side sooner or later! But in a moments glance, she found her weapon!

“[Slime Cannon]!”

She shot out another sphere, one that smashed through the chest of a skeleton. Parts of its skeletal system flung out into the air, scattering across the purple grass-, eh?! It wasn’t dead yet?! How do you kill these things?!

But she had a weapon now! It’s a bone!! Didn’t know which bone this is, and where it came from, but it was blunt, slightly bulky, and the perfect blunt weapon to survive the Dead Rising!

…Oi, did she even do any damage to this thing? She squarely slapped it in the face with her bone, but didn’t it look fine? Oi, oi! Did its eye just glint red?!

“GRAAAA!!!”

‘H-Hiii!!!”

Somehow feeling humility from getting slapped in the face, the zombie roared together with his undead comrades, including his skeleton friends, and charged at her. The zombie horde was moving once more!

“H-Hyaaa!!!”

With as much energy as she could put in, she turned the other way, and ran!! Run as fast as the wind! Run so fast that even Sonic can’t even reach!! RUUUNN-

“Ah?”

Ara, she slipped, and fell, into a ditch. Oi!! Why was there even a ditch here?! How did she even miss this thing?! Damn stupid fog, messing with her sense of vision.

“GRAAAA!!”

*Crackle, crackle!*

Sh*t, they even followed her here! Was she going to die here?! In a ditch?! Not even a noble death?! Damnit! She didn’t want to end up like Kazuma and get laughed at!

So, with her tail in between her legs, she turned around and ran! Of course, the undead legion quickly gave pursuit and ran, but since it was getting quite tight, the undead assembled themselves and formed into a line. After that, they ran at her!

F*ck! They even have intelligence! She was definitely minced meat!!

But then, a call came from her close resident green blob, saying something like ‘Queen! Please use your slime to capture your enemies! With the area you are in, they would all get captured if you fill in the entire area!’

Clearly, Slimey here was the MVP!

“Y-Yes!”

Her MP wasn’t full, but she should have enough to fill in this whole ditch! The end of the ditch was right before her, so it was now or never!!

“Time to end this!”

Walking up to one of the zombies, she lowered the slime enough for its head to pop up, and began whacking it with her bone. *Bak, bak, bak, bak, bak, bak* The same sound resounded in the dead forest for about 20 minutes, until finally, the zombie died!

Oi, oi! Not even Exp?! Was this whole ordeal worthless in the grand scheme?! Wait, the zombies might drop carrot and potatoes if she was lucky…Oh well, why not?

If only she knew, that this would take her about half of the entire day, to finish.

By the time she was done, the sun had said goodnight and went to sleep, switching its position with the twin moons, now floating high in the sky, accompanied by a sea of twinkling stars.

Her eyes showed no life within. Her expression was blank, as if they were all thrown away. The bone she had been holding was cracked and broken in many places. Surprisingly, her clothes were still pretty clean, but she didn’t care.

She’s done now, so please end her already, okay~?

Here, she killed about 35 undead monsters, with a weapon that hardly dealt any damage. She wasted about 12 hours doing this, and in return, she got no Exp back. Her dead expression wasn’t too much out of the ordinary, was it?

Walking with unsteady steps, she got back to where Slimey was. Crystal had gone to sleep already, resting her back against a wilted tree. Oh, how peaceful she looked. Wonder what her expression would be if she shot a [Slime Cannon] at her now…?

These thoughts naturally cropped up when she watched the surreal scene. Of course, please do throw that last thought into the trash bin and clear it, it’s not needed here.

“Now then, what to do…”

With that undead horde finished, what to do? She’s back on the surface now. Her companion won’t even listen to her. Slimey’s just being Slimey. And the day had already started. What should she do now?

Ah. But first, there was something she needed to confirm.

“Crystal. Do you want to follow me?”

“Asking now? Really? Didn’t you-“

“If you don’t want to, you can go back.”

W-Woah…A-A serious question, coming from Diana’s mouth, a-actually happened?! From the sudden change of tone, Crystal was obviously shocked, and somewhat spooked from it. Who wouldn’t though?

She had a moment of realisation there! Although, she was quite convinced that she actually wanted to go to the sun. After all, she did point at the sun with the best serious expression she had ever seen.

“Come on, let’s go.”

Well, her mood’s been spoiled now. With Slimey and Crystal by her side, Diana set out for her journey!

“Deal with it yourse-, Kya!? D-Don’t cling to my feet!!”

“G-Get away!!”

“G-Guu…D-Die!!”

“H-Hey! Where do you think you’re tou~ching?!”

As you can see, total chaos happened right after. And not even a minute has passed! The undead sure loves them, don’t they? Oi. Why weren’t they attacking Slimey too? At least let him experience the same pain!!

In the end, they managed to survive. Crystal was staring with a tired expression, while Diana was still in shock of almost getting herself violated by an undead zombie.

With a sigh, they both smiled wryly and continued their journey, where more of the undead were surely waiting for their arrival. They were, Left 4 Dead, after all.
