“Okay,” Paul said.

Soon after, he brought her to Luxus Emporium.

Standing in the massive shopping mall, Miranda blinked Insurprise as she stared at the lavish storefronts of luxury brands. “This is where you wanted to bring me?”

“Yes.” The next moment, he pulled out a black card and handed it to her. “Buy whatever you like.”

Miranda accepted it graciously. “Alright, but what if it’s not enough?”

“It won’t be.”

The card had no limit.

Miranda walked into Dior and started browsing through some clothes. She immediately picked out two T–shirts for summer and a short skirt.

She also picked out a pair of classic monogrammed shorts for Paul. Although it wasn’t suitable for work, it was perfect for a vacation.

“Why do I get something too?” he chuckled

Miranda said, “Since I’m using your card, I have to give something to you in return.”

“Are you trying to win me over with something I paid for myself?”

She gave Paul a once–over before shooting him a flirtatious look. “Do you think I still need to win you over?”

Paul clicked his tongue. He turned his back to the sales assistant and leaned closer to whisper in her ear, course not. I have already fallen head over heels in love with you long ago.”

With that, he gave her earlobe a gentle nibble shamelessly. noveldrama

Miranda was once again stunned by his forwardness.

Did he just….

“Of

Meanwhile, Paul pointed at a bag on the display rack and said to the sales assistant, “Give me that one in beige.”

Miranda had truly gained a lot by the end of this trip.

She hadn’t stepped foot into a luxury store once in the past two years. Most of her purchases were online. First, she didn’t have the time. Secondly, she wasn’t interested in luxury items.

However, Paul brought her to one and even gave her his black card to shop. Miranda went along with it and picked out a few iterns so as to not waste his thoughtful gesture.

To her surprise, Paul spent more money than she did.

After she picked out two items, he started adding other purchases. “Give me this, that, and one over there too…

Yet he wasn’t a spendthrift like the nouveau riche who would say things like, “Wrap everything up for me!” or ” Give me one of every color!”

Paul carefully picked out items that he thought would look good on Miranda. Then, he would ask her casually, What do you think of that one?

As soon as Miranda’s gaze landed on something, he could immediately discern whether she liked it or not. By the time she was done choosing her purchases and went to pay Paul got the sales assistant to pack up some extras he had his eye on.

Miranda couldn’t help but be amazed each time he got it right. “How do you know?”

He knew that she liked and wanted it, but she didn’t buy it

Paul clasped his hands behind his back and gave her a mysterious smile. “Why don’t you guess?”

Miranda was at a loss for words

They had lunch at the mall and continued shopping in the afternoon.

There was no worry about lugging all their purchases with them while shopping. Paul had handed his car keys to the staff. Someone would carry all their shopping bags to the garage and load them neatly into the trunk without a scratch.

No woman disliked shopping, and no woman could resist the allure of a shopping spree. Miranda was no exception. She hadn’t had the interest before simply because there wasn’t anyone to accompany her

She wasn’t fussy about her outfit, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t wear luxury brands or adorn expensive jewelry.

However, there was something Miranda was curious about

“Where did you get so much money?” she asked.

Paul adjusted his collar smugly and made a little joke. “Do you think being a scientist is some kind of impoverished profession?”

Miranda was rendered speechless. Clearly, he wasn’t poor. He was filthy rich!

In the end, Paul explained, “I make money from my projects, and collaborations with companies also bring in revenue. I also earn dividends from corporate shares.”

“Oh, I’ve landed myself a rich man!” Miranda exclaimed.

“Nonsense. How could you call it that?”

“Then what would you call it?”

Paul took her hand and said, “I’d call it… mutual admiration and love.”
