When fate plays its hand Chapter 1018

Paul said, “Let me give you an example…”

At these words, the students Instinctively straightened up.

Here it came. The first part had been all theory but now w. the real point..

At that moment, Paul had moved to the aisle in the middle of the lecture hall. He stopped, then suddenly pointed to a spot as though randomly choosing one.

However, Madison and Sebastian knew that wasn’t the case How could it be a coincidence that he pointed directly at Miranda? Paul had done this on purpose.

But that wasn’t the most shocking part. What really stunned everyone was what he said next.

“This student is sitting here, and we’re going to observe her. But what are we observing?” He smiled faintly. “Is she my girlfriend?”

Whoa! Such an example and analogy was just… too good.

“And then? What happened next?” one student asked.

“Dr. Jefferson, please continue,” another chimed in.

Miranda was completely stunned.

Madison and Sebastian, the two in–the–know students, exchanged a glance. They could see the shock and confusion in each other

eyes. They wondered if Paul had gone completely mad.

I continued, “According to Schrödinger’s Cat theory, before I reveal the answer and before you all hear it with your own ears, the status of this student is uncertain.

“In other words, she’s in a state where she’s both my girlfriend and not my girlfriend, and it’s constantly switching back and forth with each passing second, until

“I say she’s my girlfriend, and only then is her status locked in–she is my girlfriend.

“Particles can exist in two states simultaneously, but once you observe them, they settle into just one. That’s Schrödinger’s Cat. Got it now?”

Everyone immediately understood.

“So, you’re saying that until you admit it, this student could either be your girlfriend or not? Like, maybe until you confirm it?” one student asked.

Paul nodded. “From the perspective of explaining the theory, that’s exactly correct. But from a gentleman’s perspective, I wouldn’t recommend you do this because it’s kind of… sleazy.”

Everyone laughed.

“Dr. Jefferson is so funny.”

“So, this is Schrödinger’s Cat. I get it now.”

“Dr. Jefferson’s class not only teaches knowledge but also teaches what it means to be a gentleman. It’s definitely worth it.”

“Dr. Jefferson’s values are unbeatable. I’d love to be his girlfriend.”

Wake up! Stop dreaming!”

“If Dr. Jefferson had used me as an example, I’d be laughing in my sleep tonight.” Sebastian and Madison, though, were dumbfounded. Could it really be like that?

Miranda lowered her head and was unable to stop herself from smiling

The bell for the end of class rang, and Paul swiftly wrapped up the lesson as the students rushed out in a wave. “Going to the cafeteria?” he asked, walking toward Miranda

“Sure.”

Madison and Sebastian quickly followed behind.

Two couples, one ahead and one behind.

Madison watched the backs of Miranda and Paul and couldn’t help but murmur, “Dr. Jefferson isn’t even trying to hide it, huh?”

Other than not holding hands, they clearly acted like a couple.

Interestingly, the people around them didn’t find it strange at all. Considering their close relationship in the past, going to the cafeteria together was nothing new.

However, Sebastian seemed thoughtful. “I don’t think Miranda is trying to hide it either.”

Madison frowned. “If this gets out, do you think the public will go after her?” noveldrama

He replied, “It’s possible, but if Dr. Jefferson is acting this way, he must have already thought of a way to handle it.

“That’s true…” Madison relaxed and started to daydream, “By the way, they are so sweet. He openly confessed in class.”

“Jealous?” Sebastian asked.

“Who wouldn’t envy a sweet romance?” she rebuked.

“Well then, next time, I’ll find a chance in class to confess to you,” Sebastian said.

Madison was taken aback.

What the heck?
