Chapter 600

Madison had a knowing look on her face, as if she knew that this was going to happen. Her eyes darted. around eagerly.

She turned and noticed Sebastian staring at her. She swallowed nervously and asked, “Why are you looking at me?”

Sebastian lowered his voice and sald, “It’s not you who got asked for your number. Why are you s nervous?”

“I’m worried for Miranda. It would be so annoying if this keeps happening all the time… By the way, Seb. Miranda’s so pretty and accomplished. Aren’t you even a little attracted to her…”

Sebastian gave her an exasperated look. “What nonsense are you spouting?”

“Isn’t it true?”

“It’s not.”

“This means there must be something wrong with your eyes.”

Sebastian stared at her and suddenly chuckled. “I think I do have something wrong with my eyes too.”

Madison looked confused.

Meanwhile, Miranda glanced at the young man. “I’m sorry, I’m not from your college.”

“That’s alright. Can I still get your number?”

“It wouldn’t be right.”

“Why?”

Miranda replied, “I have a boyfriend.”

“Oh… Is that so…” He blushed. “I’m sorry for bothering you!”

With that, he turned and ran off as Miranda breathed a sigh of relief. The students who had gathered around them to watch the scene also dispersed.

On their way back to the lab, Madison asked, “Miranda, do you really have a boyfriend?”

“No, I lied to him.” This was the easiest reason and one that couldn’t be refuted.

“Are you going to use this excuse every time someone confesses to you?”

“Uh… Everytime? Isn’t that an exaggeration? It’s only happened once thus far…”

“You’re being too naive! Beautiful girls will always be popular. It might be one today, but there’ll be a whole bunch in the future. Just walt and see,” Madison said.

“It won’t be that bad, right?” Miranda asked.

“Heh.”

At that moment, she didn’t take Madison’s words seriously at all. However, Miranda realized she had

underestimated the situation when another male student blocked her way and asked the same question. the very next day!

For three days in a row, Miranda got stopped by a young man each time she went to the cafeteria for lunch. Although they were all different people, they all said the same words….

“Can I get to know you?”

“Can I get your number?”

“Even your in–game ID would be fine!”

The most extreme case happened when two young men blocked her at the same time while she was about to leave after having her lunch. They both asked for her number simultaneously.

Before Miranda could even decline, both of them turned on each other. At first, they were just arguing. Then, someone shoved the other, and they started fighting physically.

In the end, a

counselor, Pansy Boyle, who happened to be eating in the cafeteria, stepped in to stop them so that things didn’t escalate further.

The situation lasted for less than ten minutes from start to end, but it drew the attention of the entire three floors of the cafeteria. Even the cafeteria staff at the counters couldn’t help but peek out to see what was going on.

“What…

“Are they fin

“Are they fighting for her number?”

“That’s crazy! Anyone who doesn’t know the situation might think one of them stole the other’s girlfriend,

.but…”

“By the way, that woman has been asked for her number every day she’s come to the cafeteria. Today, guys are even literally fighting over her. Impressive!”

“Who is this female student with such allure? Which faculty is she from?”

“No idea.”

“Huh? She caused such a huge scene, and no one’s figured out who she is? The news through the grapevine these days is truly lacking!”

“She’s not from our college, so how would we know?”

“Someone from outside our college?”

“Not exactly. She’s a postgraduate student from Bedford College. I heard she’s just here to borrow the lab.

“Oh.”

Everyone couldn’t stop talking about Miranda.

After scolding the two young men and sending them off, Pansy stopped Miranda to ask her about the

situation.
