as a leader.

Cassian found Fenrir in the training arena, the morning sun casting long shadows across the space. Fenrir stood at the center, sparring with two of his pack warriors. His movements were fluid and commanding, a reminder of the power he wielded-not just physically but Cassian didn't wait for the match to end. He stepped forward, his voice cutting through the air like a blade. "We need to talk."

Fenrir dismissed the warriors with a wave of his hand, his golden eyes narrowing as he turned to Cassian. "You're up early, Cassian. Something on your mind?"

Cassian didn't waste time. "Your son's behavior toward Elyra is unacceptable. He's provoking her at every turn, and I won't stand for it."

Fenrir raised an eyebrow, grabbing a towel to wipe the sweat from his brow. "They're children, Cassian. They're bound to clash. Dain's actions are hardly a reflection of my intentions." "Children or not, he's pushing her," Cassian snapped, his fists clenching. "You've always been calculated, Fenrir. Don't pretend you aren't using this as a way to test her-or us."

Fenrir's smile was slow, more amused than genuine. "Dain doesn't need to test anyone, Cassian. He's learning, just as Elyra is. Maybe she needs to toughen up a bit."

Cassian took a step closer, his voice low and deadly. "Elyra doesn't need to be anything for you or your son. She's her own person, and if you-or Dain-so much as harm her, even accidentally, there will be consequences. Dire ones."

Fenrir tilted his head, his expression unreadable. "You're awfully protective, Cassian. But don't forget: this alliance benefits both of us. If you want to keep your pack safe, you'd do well to avoid turning me into an enemy."noveldrama

Cassian's jaw tightened, his fury barely contained. "Consider this your only warning, Fenrir. Stay in line."

He turned and strode away, leaving Fenrir standing in the arena, his expression thoughtful.

When Cassian returned to Aurora's side, she looked up from where she was braiding Elyra's hair. The sight of them together softened the tension in his chest. "Everything okay?" Aurora asked, her silver eyes searching his face.

Cassian nodded, kneeling beside her. "It will be. I'll make sure of it." He reached out to stroke Elyra's hair, his touch gentle. "No one will harm you, little one. I promise." Elyra blinked up at him, her trust unwavering. "I know, Papa."
