A million cadavers. A ruined city. Some of them leaning as a result of all the years of warfare it had taken. Dust kicking up with the echoes of gunfire. Dragons roaring up in the skies. Flying in as they searched for something. Trying to follow the orders of their Sovereign, Inzaka who waited by the outskirts with two more Sovereigns. Only hearing gunfire as Inzaka heard the wails of his dragons.
"Do you believe that the rumors are true, Inzaka? About a lone human hiding here?" the vampire queen who sat by her throne spoke up. Swirling her large glass that had a human heart inside of it. The ashen dragon who was by her side could only let out a sigh.
"Do not underestimate him, Arseila. From what I understand this human has managed to k-" The ashen dragon's entire head was blown off as blood splashed on Arseila's clothes, her hands were frozen. For once, she felt fear. An uneasiness that she was within range of whomever that fired the shot.
"Inzaka? How... How could a mere human d-" Arseila felt something hit her, then seeing a stake on her chest. By the corner of her eye, she could see a lone human standing up on a fallen building. Showing his fist at her, followed by using his left hand to unreel the middle finger at her direction.
"YOU INSOLENT HUMAN!" Arseila pulled the stake out, unleashing her wings as she flew straight into him. Covering the distance in a second, swinging her claw. Only to see the body she had struck, burst out with acid that burned her skin. Her screams filled the air as her children came to her aide, only to hear footsteps from behind. Trying to ease the pain by offering blood.
"You know I do like a lady with red lingerie but you are ugly." A white haired man smoking a cigarette with azure eyes.
"How dare you human! I will turn you into nothing but cattle for your inso-" Arseila's words had been cut off as she found the human standing in front of her. Her children's bodies had been riddled with little holes. Bullets found a nice comfy dead corpse to call a home.
"Oh yeah. That stake I launched? That's a fake. This is the real one." The stake was pierced into her chest, where Arseila's body began to rot. Her muscles were decomposing, her flesh was peeling off. She was losing her beauty. Then feeling the pain as the human slammed the stake even deeper.
"Wh...What are you?" Not even an answer as Arseila turned into a charred skeleton.
"Huh. Who knew that the actual stake used by that one vampire hunter actually burns them inside out. That's great. Now the last Sovereign. I wonder where is he?" The human glanced around, no sign of that Sovereign but the sky did turn dark. Where he glanced upwards, seeing a gigantic porcelain woman with wings that covered the entire horizon.
"You will pay for this insolence. Mortal. You will pay!" The human ignored all the words of the porcelain sovereign, readying a pair of shotguns. Pointing them to the ground.
"I knew I should've bought those boosters when I was alive. Well, this'll do." Pulling the trigger as the shotgun sent him flying into the air. The porcelain sovereign's wings unleashed feathers that rained from above where the human began to use them as platform. Running up each feather as he jumped to another. Humming peacefully despite the feathers increasing in number.
"Is this the answer to the whole dilemma of the 100 kilos of feathers or a 100 kilos of steel? Well not that I feel guilty since this bird is trying to kill me."
"I'm no bird, mortal! I am a-" The human just fired a shotgun at the porcelain sovereign's head. Blowing a chunk of it away, revealing diamond within. The human still made his way up, firing the shotguns as a means of flight. It's not supposed to work that way but who knows what sort of insanity this human has cooked up?
"Hah, diamond is stronger than anything you can muster!" The human was in front of the porcelain sovereign's face. Clenching his fist as he smiled at the sovereign.
"Good to know." A singular punch, as the porcelain sovereign was sent downwards to the ground. Faster than a bullet being fired. Crashing down as dust kicked up, along with the buildings falling on top of it. The human was falling too, but he pulled out a hoverboard and began to glide downwards. Tapping his body to look for something.
"Now where did I put that detonation device?" Tapping to the back of his pants, in the back pocket. Pulling it out with a raised eyebrow.
"Why did I put it there? I might just blow myself up by accident. Time to see the pretty explosions." Pressing the detonator as everything began to explode, a series of explosions that were blinding him as the human put on a pair of shades.
'R.A' engraved on the top right of the right lens.
"Raven Ashenworth. I wonder how this'll go." The series of explosions had Raven thinking about what he could do as he waited for time to pass. The chained detonations were already softening up the porcelain sovereign as Raven just landed right beside to see the chunks of diamond flying about. The arms had been broken, with just the final layer of stone remaining. Clipped wings as the porcelain sovereign remained still.
"I'd be rich right now if there was anyone left to trade. What a letdown." Raven mulled over this fact as he brought out a sledgehammer, imbued with his aura. Standing on the bridge of the nose as he readied himself. A single swing to break through layer of stone, revealing the dwarf inside.
"Wow. I... I expected something a little less small. Guess that's why your body is huge, you needed to compensate for everything else."
"You insolent human! You will pay! How dare you defy the sovereigns!"
"Don't you guys ever get tired of repeating that? Ah whatever." A single swing downwards as the dwarf was reduced to nothing but a blood splatter. Using telekinesis as a note flew over to him.
"I took down the dragon sovereign, I took down the vampire sovereign and the porcelain sovereign. Just leaves the final bastard."
"Raven!" Hearing voices from behind, Raven turned to see the other humans who were present. Seeing his older brother, Aquila who was smiling at him. The faces that he knew, the people he longed for. The ruined city was no more. Everything felt blissful, just seeing the smiles of his friends and brother. Normally he would give up and just let go but Raven just flicked the safety off his pistol. Waving the gun on Aquila's direction.
"Brother what are y-" Emptying the magazine into them without hesitation. Their voices had failed to persuade him, yet without a shred of guilt. Watching his brother fall to his knees, glancing at Raven who just loaded another magazine into his pistol.
"Why!? Why are you doing this!?" A gunshot to the head was the answer as Raven lit a cigar, then seeing his brother's body deform. The eyes began to spill out as the jaw fell off. Turning into some sort of horror monster from the horror films he binged back when he was a kid.

"Yeah... About the whole psychological war and horror bullshit. It... It doesn't work on me. So... You might want to do something a bit more creative." Raven said as his eyes glowed azure, immediately causing a crack in the environment. Where Raven just grabbed his shotgun, loading a 20 round drum magazine into it. The ghosts and horrors got close, waving their hands in attempts to grasp Raven's limbs.
"Stay..."
"Why did you leave us?"
"Are we not worthy?" The smile on his face faded away as Raven stepped through the crack in the dimension.
Seeing the last Sovereign seated on her throne. A woman with blue hair that had barriers set up before her.
"My... I was sure that would've stopped you... So wh-" Raven just fired the shotgun at her, seeing her barriers breaking bit by bit.
"I demand you to kneel!" Using hypnosis magic but Raven just ate his cigar, seeing the bloody tears streaming down his cheeks. The Sovereign felt something stir in the air, like she just awakened something she shouldn't have. Fear. Anxiety. Those two words drowned her entire body, watching her barriers break. Layers peeled off like an onion, the shotgun was thrown aside. Grabbing a sledgehammer, swinging at the barrier which made dents.
"Why?! Why won't you kneel!? Don't you want to dream in peacefulness !?" The insanity was there. Raven swung it enough, then drawing out a singular large nail. Impaling the Sovereign's chest with the nail, punching it to keep her pinned to her throne.
"Because I killed everyone." Those words had the Sovereign frozen as Raven pulled out a saw.
"Wh... What are you going to do with that?" He began to hack off her arms, then throwing them aside. Seeing it regenerate in an instant with the Sovereign shaking, trying to break free. Only for her face to be used as a sandbag for Raven's fists.
"Your realm works on the basis of fear. The more you fear something, the stronger its influence over you. I'm not going to kill you, so easily Estella. The realm's crack has been sealed. So it's just us. Let's get a little intimate shall we?" the only thing that remained was Estella's screams that shattered the realms.
All who were alive could hear her screams, the sound of her woes and pleas. They could only shudder at the question as to who or what was able to reduce a Sovereign to such a state. Days, months maybe years pass by. Estella was finally nothing more than a broken toy for Raven to use.
"Well. That was entertaining. I feel the weight of my years leaving me behind. Time to let all that go." Shoving a revolver into her mouth, seeing her eyes tearing up with her muffled voice. Six shots. Her head was no more. Splattered all over his clothes and her throne.
"You did well." A voice echoed as the realm changed to be a church. Seeing a man standing in front of the statue. The empty church was peaceful, yet he could hear voices in the background arguing and fighting amongst each other. Metals clanging, gunfire roaring and sound of objects breaking. Whatever it was, that was not his concern. Raven turned to the man with the cigar.
"What's your game, Vinter? I don't understand why you want me to kill the Sovereigns."
"They have done too much. This world was only for man but the introduction of the system that created dungeons and monsters. It has caused humanity to go extinct. Save for you. War God."
"War God?" Raven raised an eyebrow to that remark as he walked over to Vinter who offered him a cigar. Lighting it up for him as they both took a seat by the benches of the church.
"That is what the Gods are calling you. Never in our lifetimes have we seen a human being slaughter an entire planet. It is fitting." Vinter puffed out the smoke as his eyes met with Raven's.
"Not that I care Vinter. The deal." Vinter held out a coin, flipping it as Raven caught it in between his fingers. Glancing at the coin which had his face from when he was a young adult.
"I cannot reverse time completely. The Supreme Being said if we did, we might destroy the world due to it being unstable. At most only when you were 18 years old. When you first became a Hunter and was registered to the Hunter Academy."
"Can I have that changed?" Vinter raised an eyebrow.
"Why is that?"
"I'm tired of fighting for so long Vinter. I spent... I don't know, far too long in combat. Being the only human, I have to talk to myself to keep my sanity. I had to eat the flesh of every single creature to survive. I could use a break."
"But you can never escape who you are Raven." Vinter puffed out the smoke with a smile, seeing Raven press his forehead with the cigar smoke reaching his nose. Vinter could see how tired Raven was, slumped on the bench. The bloodshot eyes that showed he did not sleep, or if he did not even sleep at all. Pale skin, the scars over his face and neck. Chapped lips.
"I know Vinter but I am still human. Even if I managed to kill everything, doesn't mean I manage to leave unscathed. Estella had me kill my friends and family, even if she wasn't aware that she did it. All that for the sake of wiping out humanity so they can just have their battlefields. What is right? What is wrong? I can only go on my own path, even if it means I have to point my blades at the Gods." A glare to Vinter who snuffed a cigar, then seeing two nuns bringing a glass filled with clear liquid.
"Oh they know. Some of them are worried about angering you but I assured them that unless they do something directly that harms you or bothers you. They will be fine. If they directly do something stupid or moronic. Of course you'll hunt them yourself." Raven went over to grab the glass.
"To Raven Ashenworth. The Man Who Slayed The World."
"To Vinter. The God of Conflict." Chinking their glasses as they downed the clear liquid in one gulp. Putting it back to the nuns who held their trays.
"So what does this make you, the Supreme Being now?"
"I suppose so, since I did bring them down after you slain their Sovereigns. Seeing you had me realize it would be good for me to act as well, your knowledge and memories will remain. Your class is no longer F-Rank Survivor but it will be the S-Rank War God. You can hide it. But you also retain your knowledge and mastery of all weapon techniques. Though lacking aura and mana will cause the attacks to have a defect or two." Vinter said as Raven let out a smile. A sigh of relief, his mind felt the weight fall off his shoulders.
Raven finally was able to let his heart break. Tears falling on his face, his face turned sour with the grief he had held onto for so long. Silent tears, a silent lament for what he has felt.
"You will be returned to the incident, prior to you being Awakened as a Hunter... Which means..."
"That my brother and I won't be talking at all." Vinter nodded, reading the worry on his face.
"What, you worried about me now?"
"Of course, Raven. You are the one who awoke me from my slumber. I wish I could change it so you and your brother would be closer to each other... But it seems. Causality. It limits me so." Vinter said as he lit up another cigar, pressing his forehead to this dilemma.
"Don't worry, Vinter. Not being a Hunter means I can hide away peacefully."
"I am not worried about that Raven. What I am worried about is that it's just in your nature to kill. You may be a Hunter in the future or be in circumstances that forces you to be a Hunter. You're a beast that has overeaten but in due time, you will need your fill." Raven clicked his tongue.
"I'll deal with it when it comes, Vinter. I know what I am. I've already lost my humanity in the process. I mean, in my rampage I slaughtered the kin of every single Sovereign. I mean... I killed a demon lord by bashing him to death with the head of his wife. I killed a Sovereign by bludgeoning them to death with the spines of their family members. It's a madness that I've gotten and it's one I'll maintain. Either way, if I be a Hunter, I'll have to go to the Academy. Just hope I don't murder people by accident." Raven said with a smile as Vinter gave a nod.
He was feeling sleepy, feeling the tiredness of his body kicking in.
"Thanks, Vinter. For honoring your promise with me."
"May your wishes come true in the next life." Raven fell off his chair with Vinter catching him. Embracing Raven and patting his back as Raven's body vanished.
"System." Vinter called out.
"Yes, Supreme One?"
"Honor the promise. Remind the others that the War God has reset the world and they should stay away. Have the new Sovereigns understand that they can interact with the world only in Dungeon form. If they kickstart another apocalypse, I will personally send the War God their names and the location of their realms. This is the only warning I will give. If he chooses to destroy their realm, it is only their fault."
"Yes, Supreme One. But... There's been trouble."
"What is it?" Vinter asked as a nun poured a bottle for him. A brief nod as she headed away, leaving the bottle by the table in front of him.
"We can only bring him back as far as the dungeon break. He will be forced to be a Hunter..."
"Ensure that you give him the Status. He has administrator privilege to adjust his Class. He may wish to hide it."
"Shall I leave him as War God?"
"That's for our eyes only, perhaps it'd be better if he was to be the embodiment of Madness itself.." Vinter said as he chuckled while taking sips.
