The dungeon was cleared and Raven got his cash. He already gave Division 9 strategies to train with. Plans for how they would be operating and training. A full run down from Raven that included their weaknesses during combat. Strategies in their hands to avoid those things. Brigid left her number on Raven's phone. Raven also received the additional funding and materials from Rosenfelt as thanks for his aid.
Heading over to the plot of land that was bought, it was big enough to compare to a small village. Made within the edges of Hartland. An empty plot of land that was bought from the residents. Not forcefully as they were given jobs to help maintain the crops with Fenris's advice. Arcian and Sichilde had prepared jobs for all of them. Taking in Hunters who were mainly skilled in production to help create materials that would be necessary. The homes of the villagers had been made anew with many of them slowly taking an interest with their new guests.
Lowell was going with a hearts and minds strategy, where Raven's allies would help out the residents in any way possible. Criminals who preyed on them with their abilities as Hunters were going to feel the pressure. Donald and his crew began their patrols. They didn't take any protection money and Lowell was able to negotiate with the Imperial Family with Sichilde and Arcian. A few of Raven's SSR allies joined in.
From what Raven heard, Sichilde and Arcian were able to get the Imperial Family to see the benefits of a village that was on a vast plain be a symbol of economic growth as well as the Imperial Family's honor and pride. Appealing to that aspect that had the Empress enjoying their conversations. Many Hunters were present at the time. Particularly guild leaders and S-Ranks. A singular question that the Empress posed to them.
"Who is Raven to you?"
Lowell's answer? "A soldier who could turn the tide of an endless battle with just his rage. Brash and reckless."
Arcian? "The greatest friend, a king could ask for."
Specter? "The one friend I regretted betraying."
Vesper? "Humanity's greatest soldier. He would always be fighting to keep people safe. Even if it meant he'd tear off his limbs in doing so."
Yennifer? "The loveliest bird to have ever soared the skies. My lovely bird."
Corona? "My beloved husband."
Solomon? "A great mage."
Viktor? "The One Who Rips. For god. For country. He would lay waste to whatever foes in his path." Reporters and journalists heard those answers that painted Raven with a beautiful brush. Kindness and strength. Violence and brutality. Those things had people in the new village. One called 'Prideland' would take root. The amount of work was going to turn it into a town rather than an old village with Lowell having Fenris as his advisor on farmlands as well as making sure that technology would not take away the natural beauty of this terrain.
Development would be great but if unchecked, Euphemia would lose a beautiful location. The sight of Fang and Viktor who were working the fields with their strength was a sight to behold. Along with the others. Hearing how some people were illiterate was troubling and Sichilde as well as Arcian took time to teach. His arrival had all of his allies go out to see him.
"Looks like this is a beautiful place. Rodin, Aisha, Donald. How's the criminals?"
"We got the loan sharks to back off. Told them unless they want to be dumped into the bottom of the sea they better leave the place alone. We did pay all of their loans with interest too. So shouldn't be trouble, Enforcer." Aisha spoke with a grin, despite Raven noticing blood on her fists. Which she promptly hid her hand.
"Did you beat them?"
"N-No."
"She did." Rodin ratted Aisha out which caused her to cuss him out but Raven just chuckled. The others could not help but smile at Raven's reaction, even Cobalt was busy playing with the children. Carefully as its speed was the strong suit. Specter and Glinter had children climbing over them like they were towers. Jack and Durandal were doing the heavy lifting. Building playground structures for the children at the center. The Conscripts of Ibis team was busy tightening the knots for the nets. What they were making was a playground version of their obstacle course that would be fun and safe for the children. Whitmore was working on the electrical facilities with Warcrest and Regal.
Waldo was checking on the mana veins that would help grow the crops better with Solomon using a hoe to help work the soil.
"Keep up the good work. Now, I need to get ready for my job as an instructor. They told me a lot of new applicants. Some are Royalty from other countries that were coming in as well. Plenty of S-Ranks were curious about my ability. Ah, this'll be tedious."
"Good luck!" The allies wished as Raven headed to the house that his allies prepared. He requested it to just be a single floor house. Something simple would be prepared. Heading inside to sleep, he was exhausted from today's events. The sight of the sun greeting him with its heat and radiance. Slowly drifting to sleep once more.
The next day came in. He put on a three piece suit that Warcrest had prepared with Regal who did the stitching by hand. A cane axe that he would use. Stepping out to find Warcrest tinkering with a uniquely shaped bike. Angular all around but it had plenty of things beneath the appearance.
"Hand assembled a bike?"
"Can you blame me? I got bored." Warcrest's helmet opened up as he lit a cigar.
"It's been approved. It's got weapon compartments. Machine guns at the front end with 50 micro missiles tucked in the back. The missiles don't explode, they just strike into a target and spread a foam that stops all impact. Keeping things in place. It's got compartments to store weapons if that's your fancy." Proud of his work, but Raven took the keys and got on. Hearing the rumble upon starting the engine, then slowly dying down to just mere vibrations that were like a massage chair's.
Riding through the streets to the academy that was held on the western side of Hartland. Not that it was a bad thing but not exactly something Raven cared about. The traffic was a pain in the ass though. A driver that didn't even use their blinkers properly.
Asshole. He thought out loud as he parked his bike by the staff area, taking off his helmet as he went inside. Noticing the surge of mana and aura all around as Raven headed inside, seeing the Empress, the Imperial Family of Cherry Blossom and plenty more nobles. Hunters with their children, regular parents with their children who were waiting by the hall.
"You're late on your first day, Instructor Ashenworth. Care to explain this?" One of the instructors spoke up as they see Raven yawn. Feeling the bloodlust reach all over him as Raven parked a cigarette to his lips. Each step he took, he could feel the blood lust and aura get stronger.

"I just came back from a dungeon. I'm still jet-lagged. Cut me some slack."
"How dare you speak so casually before the Ruling Families! I'll have your head!" An S-Rank Hunter went after Raven with the sword. Watching Raven stop it with a finger. A grin on his face as the Hunter's hands were shaking.
"Not bad. But your left ankle injury is making you lose strength a little. Best get that looked at." The Hunter lowered his blade, clenching his fists in shame.
"It's not a shameful display. Respect is a two-way street. I'm not showing the proper respect because this is just how I am. I don't exactly like nobility or superiorty because of Ranks." Raven said as he went up the stage, stretching his neck.
"My name is Raven Ashenworth. I'll be your instructor. Mana, Aura, combat tactics and dungeon raiding. Now, my skills are a bit different." Raven said as they see his outfit changed to Durandal. Then to Smiling Mime.
"This is from a skill called Mirrors of Possibility. It lets me use different skillsets and different strengths at any given time. Some of it will have quirks like this one for example. Smiling Mime. In combat I will be chuckling and laughing. Or to this." The One Who Rips.
"And this." Raven changed to Abyss Gaze.
"Seeing this many S-Ranks and some nobles. I can tell that I have to go do an exhibition match or something. Since I'm only 18 but I have so much power. And the fact that I just killed a lot of Hunters in my path must raise a lot of alarms. Basically like I said in the summit. Don't bother me. Don't bother my family. Don't bother my allies. Soon to be added, don't bother my students and colleagues. But seeing this much aura and mana swirling about mixed with the bloodlust. It's cute. Like real cute but at the same time it's annoying." Raven's eyes glowed azure as they heard windows shatter all around.
"Much better. Concentration of aura, mana and blood lust. When it's too much will make you feel suffocated. Sometimes to keep that away from me, I smoke cigarettes. When in such cases, ground yourselves. But remember. The world is vast. Sometimes you can find things you don't expect. Like this." Raven threw his cigarette at the Empress's shadow, where they see a Hunter step out with a knife.
"How did..."
"Your bloodlust is annoying. An assassin needs to conceal it. I understand you're loyal to Her Majesty, Eliza Billwurst but keep that in check." The assassin gave a nod as Raven picked up his cigarette, turning to the audience again.
"Aura is another fun topic. Aura is made with one's character." Raven switched to Crimson Rain Petals as they see petals all around them.
"Crimson Rain Petals. My aura takes the shape of petals. Gentle and soft, but it can kill if I'm not careful. It's more or less similar to the Plum Blossom Swordsman but I think his control is much better." The Plum Blossom Swordsman kept quiet.
"I won't be following the syllabus. You're all here as Hunters. I'm going to work you to the bone. Doesn't matter if you're noble, commoner or whatever else you are. My job as an instructor, is to make sure that when you leave. You leave this academy with the skills needed to live. The rank system determines power but it lacks the ability to determine a person's thinking. Your best weapon in your toolset isn't your skills or weapons. It's your mind."Raven gestured to his head.
"I was an F-Rank when I participated the Guild War with the Blue Vipers. But I came out unscathed because I used unorthodox combat strategies and used whatever that I had with me. Sure I did have a weapon that makes it convenient but it's a cursed weapon." Raven took off his persona, showing Thousand Eyes to them.
"Cursed weapons are great but it can mess with your head if you're not careful. So cursed weapons need to go to people with the right mindset. Hey, you want to say something?"
"FEAR ME MORTALS! FOR I WILL E-" Raven punched the hilt of Thousand Eyes.
"OW!"
"See what I mean? But he's docile most of the time. If I tell him to go all out, he'll go nuts. Cursed weapons are powerful but if they overwhelm you it'll be annoying.." Raven said as Thousand Eyes vanished from his hand.
"Mana on the other hand. Spells above your rank need to be chanted. Spells below your rank or absolute mastery over it. You can just gesture cast it." Raven said as he snapped his fingers. Seeing spheres of various elements spin around him.
"Use your imagination and have a clear idea. This can happen too." They see the elements turn into ravens flying about the area.
"Mana is about creativity but you must learn it through your senses. Fire is hot, but if you perceive fire as a gentle flame that warms you up in winter. It won't even hurt you. But this is limited to your own magic of course. So don't rush in front of a dragon expecting it to not set you on fire. Damned lizards always burn my clothes off." Raven grumbled as the students marveled to his words.
"Blood lust though. That's difficult. Fall into it, you become mad like the Thousand Blood Demon but he keeps it in check because he accepts it as his nature. I keep it in check because I don't care. I accept that I enjoy peace but I also enjoy killing. I enjoy a peaceful stroll in the park but I also enjoy smashing heads in. So that's why people call me Madness. If you use bloodlust, I'll need to train you to handle it. Leaving that one unchecked out of the three things is a bad idea. You might kill someone by accident. So that's the briefest lecture I am giving because I had good examples. Life is a flow. For some of you it's the way of Yin and Yang. For those who aren't in the whole martial arts business, it's the flow of good and evil. Balance that and you will be fine. I'm mostly evil because if someone pissed me off enough, I would murder an entire family. But the good lies in the fact that I don't go around killing people without justification. Sword of Wudang and Poison Demon. One's good and the other is evil. But, consider this. The Poison Demon was able to heal people with poisons when the monsters broke out and the Sword of Wudang rampaged against a few Hunters who tried to harm others. Necessary evils and necessary good." Raven turned to the Sword of Wudang and Poison Demon who gave a nod. Respecting his answer.
"The reason why I'm here is simple. Dungeons are appearing way too much and we need more people to handle it. So I need to keep casualties low. In a perfect world, all of you go in and none of you die. But this isn't a perfect world. Some of you will die. Some of you will be traumatized. But that's just how this thing goes. Hunting is a job. We're Hunters. We do the job and we back away. If you can't save someone, don't beat yourself on it for too long. Train like mad. Perfect your own skills and abilities so you know what you can use and when to use it. I'll never forget the sight of a little girl's hand being held by her mother. It's also why I go into dungeons like mad. I don't take breaks. I overwork myself to the bone until someone tells me 'We can take care of it from here' or 'There's no more breaks from now on." The somberness in that last speech had the students and nobility silent.
"That's my introduction. I'm a member of Black Wings and I lead Division 9. I met with Miss Irsla the other day. Last thing. I have days where I won't be here because of something. My Mirror of Possibility sometimes will cause me to go missing for a few hours or days depending on what I have to do. So different allies will come in. Solomon, come out. You still suck at hiding." Solomon stepped out from the back, taking off his disguise as a guard.
"Solomon is a magic knight. But he can't use regular magic like most mages do. So what does he do?" Raven swung his cane axe at Solomon as they see Raven's hand fall to the ground. Seeing it fall through the ground.
"Solomon is a magic knight who uses neutral elemental magic. Mainly debuffs. Now this is perfect because he uses his sword primarily but he's got a knack for turning things crazy for the opponent. He just made my cane axe turn into 50 thousand tons. All that within a split second. And he can do.." In that moment they see Raven slipping on his feet. Followed by seeing Raven spin over and over again. Some of them felt dizzy just watching Raven slip on the ground repeatedly. Their sense of motion was manipulated by the scene.
"Yeah. He can do this. This is an example that debuff magic isn't useless. You're just not using it right. I mean, if you can make your opponent slip and spin ten thousand times you're bound to make them give up." Solomon stopped his magic as Raven landed on his feet, then laying on the floor as he reached for his cane.
"No skill or ability is useless." With those words the students were all riled up, even the nobles who could not help but keep their eye on Raven. There was an air of charisma in that introduction. Lengthy but he proved his point. Even the other instructors could not help but agree with what he just said.
The Empress smiled to Raven and raised her hand.
"If I asked you to be the Headmaster of the Instructors. Would you be willing to do that?"
"I'm flattered, Your Majesty but I'm not good at the administrative work. So we spent enough time here, do we still need to do an exhibition match?"
"We'll save that for the Inter Hunter Academy competition. Even Instructors will be participating in those." Empress Eliza spoke up as the others were in agreement.
"Got it. So is assembly over?"
"Yes it is over. Thank you." The assembly being over meant for the new students to bid their farewells to their parents as they'll stay by the dorms. Raven's first class of the day was combat tactics. So will he find any good prospects? Plenty of things to wonder.
