Firing more shots with Raven's Eye, seeing the wyverns falling onto the mounds of corpses down below. By the time the wyvern army had subsided, Raven could see the ground being scarred from all of his firing. The sands of the desert had collected themselves away from where he stood. Seeing the Valkyries that were now going over to help each other, the airplane was able to get out of the danger area with Raven just taking off his Persona. Removing his faceplate where his outfit returned to his casuals.
Taking a moment to look around, the outskirts that was empty. Only destruction had remained. Destroyed houses in the distance, barren lands all around him. He knelt down, touching the ground as memories plagued to his memory. A large army of skeletons led by a demon lord and a few liches, a beautiful village out here was destroyed by the skeleton army. Alongside an army of wyverns led by a blue dragon.
Scorpio Proficiency : 10%
Considering the number of bodies it took to hit that 10%, Raven knew this was going to be a grind. But one has to earn his old abilities and skills. Sure he had the experience and the technique, but he needed to get back to his strength as the War God without relying on the Limiter Off. Using that skill was not an option for him, being too reliant on it would be equal to showing off his best card at the table.
A large helicopter came over, just the sheer size alone rivaled that of the large wyvern they saw from earlier. The back hatch lowered as Valkyries stepped out with their weapons.
"Gather the injured Valkyries! We're bringing them to the capital! We heard about the Hunter that handled the wyverns, where is he?!"
"I'm here." Raven said as they see him with a lit cigarette. Their eyes lit up upon seeing his face but it just had Raven raising an eyebrow to what was with their expression. Dumbfounded.
What's up with the looks? It's like they've never seen a Hunter before.
"Uh- Sorry! Please step inside." Raven was expecting a glare because he was a Hunter, dousing his cigarette as he got into the helicopter. His phone? Cracked to pieces. So he had nothing to do for the moment, putting it into his pocket. Their eyes were still on him.
"How far are we from the capital?"
"We're about 2 hours away from Sellaria." One of them answered, a glance at his watch. Seeing it cracked which was a shame since he just bought it the day before the flight. Leaning on the seat in the helicopter, then letting out a deep sigh.
"I'm going to take a nap. Wake me up when we're there." Closing his eyes, Raven just needed the break. He was exhausted. The long flight, along with the mana and aura exhaustion because he forced himself. Even if the repair didn't hurt, it simply stacked the exhaustion to his body. No dreams or anything.
Waking up in a room.
"Good morning." Hearing a honeyed voice, Raven turned to the beautiful Valkyrie with the blue hair smiling at him. Wearing a maid's outfit that showed off her figure, along with a lovely smile that could swoon a man's heart. Raven took a moment to look around. It was a fancy hotel room.
"I told them to wake me up when we arrived at the capital. Did you bring me here?"
"Yes, I did. My name is Laria." Raven scratched his head.
"I am here to ensure that your stay will be pleasant. Please let me know if you have anything you'd like to request." She gave him a bow.
"How bad was the damage on the Valkyries that were fighting in the outskirts?"
"It was high but thanks to you no casualties." Laria spoke with such monotone, Raven was trying to ask himself if she was hiding something or if that was just her tone.
"I'm sorry about the mess. Please give me the overview."
"There is no need for that. Please get dressed. You will be required to present yourself before the Grand Chancellor of Rosenfelt." Raven got up as he put on the Abyss Gaze Persona, where he wore a pair of gloves and this time with a tailcoat over his shoulders. Laria opened the door as Raven stepped through seeing the Valkyries who were present with their weapons in hand. The Grand Chancellor, a Valkyrie who was a legend. Hildr, one of the first of the 5 Valkyries who had saved Rosenfelt. Her presence, commanding respect from those in the room.
"Hunter Raven Ashenworth. A Hunter affiliated with RF, given full recommendation by Commander Shaw. Thank you for ensuring some of our returning citizens will be safe but... The situation is dire. The dungeon breaks have wiped out some of our places. Despite the Valkyries that have been fighting there. I requested Shaw as I needed his expertise but he told me to leave it to you who is a one man army. I know it may be much to ask but.." Raven raised his hand.
"Just send me where you need me, Chancellor. I didn't come here for a vacation. I came here to do what needs to be done. All I need right now is ammunition, whetstones for my blades."
"I understand. Laria will be our intermediary. Several of the higher ranked Valkyrie squads will accompany you."
"Got it. I'm going out for a bit." Raven said as he bowed to Hildr. Stepping out of the room with Laria.
"Your Emminence... Are you sure it's wise to trust that Hunter?"
"It is our best option. Shaw's assurance is enough for me.."
Raven took the first helicopter out to a nearby location that had the lich's army moving about. A city that was maintaining its defense. Valkyries kept firing their weapons with tanks, helicopters and fighter jets in the mix. It was a blend of chaos that Raven was not used to.
"Laria. Tell them to keep up the bombardment." Raven said as he jumped out of the helicopter. Landing on his feet as he brought out the hammer. Shouldering it as he lit a cigarette with a lighter. The skeletons went for a frontal assault with their numbers. Seeing the glimmers of darkness on the hammer as Raven swung it with all of his might. Grinding the skeletal body parts to dust. Readying a bat as he went slugging it out with the skeletal army. Bombardment was still going on, which helped to guide Raven to a path that would lead him to the lich. Taking his sweet time as his left hand brought out a revolver. Six shots that blew skulls into pieces, leaving the headless skeletons bumbling around like morons. Which gave him the chance to just kick them into the others, causing them to stumble as he went on his spree. Bludgeoning the heads off with just a bat. One hand reloading the revolver, a bit tough to pull off in an actual fight but because the skeletons could barely make heads or tails of their own location. It gave him the wiggle room, as Raven took a few shots to the skeleton mages. Blowing their heads off as the bat sent some skeletons flying into the air. Changing his bat for a pair of shields, charging forward.
Bulldozing through the skeletal horde while the bombardment and artillery strikes kept raining down. It was reckless, the lich was trying to see where Raven through the eyes of the many skeletons. Only for Raven's longsword to pierce into the chest, followed by a blast to the face with a shotgun. Mashing the skull in as the skeletal horde began to stop attacking. Looking around for their next orders.

Raven switched out Abyss Gaze for Moonlight Solitude, wearing liturgical vestments with scriptures by the shoulders. Imbued with the power of holy power as he glanced at the remaining skeletons who knelt to him. Pulling out a tome as the tome opened up, with the ground being covered in golden aura that spread around like a thick fog.

"I will free your souls. Oh Lights in the Heavenly Skies. Grant these souls rest, for they do not deserve to remain in this world. For their pain in being awakened, it must be given its pardon and salvation. May the light guide them to their resting place. May they never starve and be burdened by the worldly ordeals any longer. I shall pray for your salvation!" Those words caused them to shine as Raven could see the many skeletons change to their humans forms. Smiling at him as their words of gratitude were uttered. Tears in their eyes as Raven could see the ghosts of the lingering souls move closely to him, a child swimming close to him.
"Rest well." Raven said as the light faded, leaving the skeletons on the ground.

Raven was able to understand why such a thing had to happen, when the helicopter arrived. He turned to Laria who was present, wearing her maid outfit with a machine gun in her hands.
"Shall we head to the next area?"
"Let's go." Laria gave a nod as more of the common Valkyries ran out to help secure the area, while Raven stepped into the helicopter. Seeing a squad of Valkyries wearing different outfits. Unique in their designs, armed with a variety of weapons. Red uniforms with a variety of weapons to compliment each other's combat style.
"Valiant Industries Squad Maximus, ready for deployment." They saluted to him.
"We'll be heading to another combat zone, another skeleton army. They're being overrun!" The Valkyrie pilot shouted as they were flying to the combat zone, Squad Maximus was readying their weapons, making sure they had enough ammunition.
"Maximus, who's your squad leader?"
"It's me, Elara. Vale's with the machine cannon. Alice is with the automatic shotgun and Mako with the sniper cannon." Elara spoke with her battle rifle in hand, her eyes still glancing at him as she seemed to have trembling in her hand.
"Excited?" Vale grinned at the prospect as she slapped her huge box magazine into the machine cannon, left arm pulling the enlarged charging handle.
"Blaire Corporation's Squad Whiteout is engaged in combat" Mako spoke up as she looked at her tablet, her blue hair covering half of her face. Not even paying attention to it, as she glanced at the data logs on the tablet.
"Talk to us Mako, what's it like down there?" Alice said as she picked up some grenades in her hand, glancing at Raven who was just reading a tome. Mumbling words to himself as Vale was trying to figure out what he was saying.
"May the Valkyries by my side be blessed in their crusade against the unholy." In that moment, they felt holy aura surround them.
"What's this?"
"Just a blessing. Now let's go." Raven said as he loaded his rifle, then the helicopter began shaking.
"We're taking fire! Shit! It hit the right rotor! Brace for impact! Mayday! Mayday! This is Dipper we're going down!" A crash landing in the middle of the enemy formation, the skeletons were trying to make their way by stabbing into the walls. Raven grabbed the knocked out pilots, bringing them to Maximus. The blades were piercing slowly as they braced themselves. Thinking of what's the best way to fight back.
"I'll clear the way. When I do, get the pilots out of here." Raven said as he switched from Moonlight Solitude to Durandal. Wielding a pair of sledgehammers, piercing through the hatch as he stood before the army of skeletons. Just a single thought in his mind.
'Slash through.' Activating the serpent blades that began to flail about. Skewering skeletons in great numbers, this was Durandal's role. The vanguard, the one who breaks through entire formations.
"Now Maximus!" The squad ran out with Laria by their side, a glance behind. Seeing Raven swing the sledgehammers with great strength. Skeletons were flying up in the air, like dust being picked up by a great wind. They could not argue, seeing the sight of Raven's roughhousing was enough to get them to see his effectiveness. Crushing skeletons with his hammers, elbowing a skeleton's head. Instantly crushing it as Raven howled at them in defiance. Crushing wave after wave of the skeletal horde. Skeleton giants? Grinded to dust. Skeletal beasts clad in heavy armor? Skewered by the serpent blades. Hammers pummeled the skeletons. Breaking their bones as Raven swapped the weapons for a pair of great swords. Unleashing great swings that caused the ground to shift with every movement.
Slow swings but if they hit, it would send the skeletons flying into the air. Serpent blades that gave chase. Relentlessly like starved predators sinking their teeth into their prey. The lich who controlled them, rattled at the sight of Raven as Durandal. Sending the entire army over to Raven's direction. Where Durandal's armor faded away, becoming Moonlight Solitude once more.
Wielding a longsword in the left hand a tome to the right hand. The pages of the tome opened up as golden aura had begun blanketing the area.
"I will free you of your undead coil! The Lights of the Heavenly Skies will baptize you in their glow! May you all find peace!" A verse was uttered as Raven went into the thick of it. Parrying a skeleton's sword, then bashing the head with the tome. Smacking the jaws off a skeleton with a book. Every strike with the tome, the haunted spirit is banished from the skeletal bodies. Reaching the lich as Raven bashed its head in with the tome. Seeing the lich pause, staring at him in the eyes. Seeing a single teardrop from the eyes.
"A fallen seeker of light. I will ensure that you will be saved. You've done what you could. Even if this is beyond your ability. The glimmer of light stays with you." Raven knelt to the lich who held his hands. Trying to speak, but holy mana gathered by the throat.
"Thank you, Holy Father of the Light." Raven could only smile as the souls were released from the skeletons. The souls of orcs, dragons, wyverns, beastmen and giants. They all stared at him with a smile, waving a goodbye as they uttered their gratitude. Though Raven could feel some discomfort. Likely due to the fact that the lich's tear, it was one of a priest. A fallen priest who was once kind. Turned into a monster to kill the people he served in the past? Damn, that was just cruel.
At least this time, he's been granted salvation.
Holy Aura/Mana proficiency: 5%.
Bonus reward : Shard of two personas.
Persona name : The Shadow Lord.
Persona Name : A Most Evil Being.
"Well... Earning back my skills will take a while. Shadow Lord and A Most Evil Being? Aren't they..."
Shadow Lord.
The magic oriented combatant.
The one who masters darkness.
Darkness that is not hateful.
Darkness that does not resent.
Darkness in its pure and beautiful form.
It's an S-Tier Persona.
For reasons stated below.
1. It's just powerful.
2. You rarely used this because you preferred weapons.
A Most Evil Being.
Err... This one scares me.
You're an Eldritch being.
S-Tier.
1. You cannot die with this Persona.
2. You are driven mad by rage, hatred and anger.
3. You are darkness in its most vile form.
"Fuck. I never want to use the Most Evil Being again. Being an Eldritch, sucks." Raven said as he felt his body shiver at the thought. Mainly because A Most Evil Being was the only Persona that nearly managed to destroy his mind. It was also the reason why Raven can use cursed weapons or weapons that have evil karma without paying the price. Any regular human uses Thousand Eyes would be driven insane but that's a story for another time.
