Waking up the next day which surprisingly. There was nothing on the agenda. Cherry Blossom's Hunters got spurred by the hardworking nature of Raven and his allies that, he received a notification to take a break for a day or two. Giving everyone the day off, Ciara chose to spend it with Raven. The pair were reading about what to do in the capital.
"Father... What do you like to do?"
"For work or a hobby?"
"Hobby." Raven had to pause for a moment. His mind was trying to look for something that sounded like a hobby. Only problem was Raven was too busy trying to deal with the Sovereigns and the many lives he had. He didn't exactly have a hobby. Focusing on weapons and equipment, always reading about everything that he would need for combat. He learned sewing to fix his clothes. He learned how to polish and make armor. He made his own weapons. NONE OF IT, was out of interest. Painting? He learned it because he needed to paint the faces of his targets. Writing? He had to write stuff in code for his allies so they know what to look for. Internally? Simulated combat? To sharpen his skills. Sparring? To sharpen his senses. Reading history? To understand conflicts and how tactics can be applied. Stamps? Collecting it to find details in enemy postage. Hiking? Studying geography. Bird watching? A lie. He looks into plenty other things like vegetation and understanding local fauna. Cooking? He has to cause everything tastes bad. Horror stories? To understand what other horrors lurk between the worlds. Driving a car? Necessity. Watching TV? Doesn't interest him, just needs ambient noise or to look at news. Sometimes looking too deep into shows to understand hidden propaganda messages. Fireworks? Testing out explosives. This is his reaction. Chemistry? Medication. Herbology? Herbs to eat when he can't find modern medicines.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH HOW DO I TELL MY DAUGHTER I DON'T HAVE A HOBBY?!
"I don't have a hobby per se. Too busy with what I had to do in the past. But I think the closest thing that comes to mind. Would be food." Ciara's eyebrows furrowed for a moment. Perhaps Yennifer told her tales about her father as what was said to be the ideal house husband that had her wondering plenty of things.
"Did your mother say I was the ideal house husband?"
"Yes. She often spoke about how you would cook, bake, sew clothes and more."
Yup. Her mother called me the ideal house husband alright. Not that something Raven could rebut about, he would be considered that by many but in terms of everything else. Raven realized he's the king of boring. Like, he's got nothing much to say with women. Even in the first life, he was too busy fighting to care about love. His mind was on the basis of 'How do I love if the world's going to get worse?' That and considering Raven was the last human in existence. Too busy killing everything to care.
"Let's take a look into different restaurants then." As they were looking into it. Ciara talked about wanting to try out plenty of dishes that weren't available in their world. The pair made their way out as the others were busy. Fang went to go over to visit the shrines and temples. Perhaps wanting to understand how these people viewed faith? The first stop the pair had was at a renowned barbeque shop. Though Raven and Ciara noticed a dungeon portal to the left.
"Should we be worried?"
"I doubt it. Shall we?" The pair headed into the shop, taking their seats as the waiter was trying his best to accommodate the father and daughter's request. Mainly ordering plenty of meats with some vegetables. Sizzles of their renowned meats had Ciara drooling over it with her eyes. The aroma lingered in the air that woke up the appetite within. Meats embracing the heat like a gentle hug as the char took root onto it.
"Not yet, my daughter. Give it a moment." Raven said as he flipped the meats.
"Father, I can do it myself." A smile crept on Raven's face where he shook his head.
"I finally met you as an adult. At least let me just spoil my little lion." Raven pressed her nose with his finger where Ciara was amused by the action, seeing Raven place the meats for her. Then grilling the corn and vegetables. Just getting it with a slight char as Ciara took a bite. Savoring the juiciness of the meat that had been served. Pairing it with the white rice and vegetables, where Ciara had a bit of grease on her cheek. With Raven wiping it for her.
"I'm sorry father, I've shown you an unpleasant sight."
"I'm not strict as your mother you know. She always wants to keep showing me her best side even if I told her it's fine if she remains who she is. When your mother came back from a subjugation clad in scars and injuries. I made remedies and nursed her back to health. I refused to do anything. Even when she was pregnant with you, I made sure that nobody would bother me." Those words had Ciara smiling brightly. A beaming smile as she let her guard down. Dignified but she was aloof. The pair ate their meals as Ciara asked questions about how he met his mother. An arranged marriage, Raven's family was wealthy for that Persona. An arranged marriage with Yennifer because it was to ensure he would have someone who can protect them.
"Your mother didn't like me at first. She only thought I was a spoiled brat."
"But why were you weak father?" It's a good question.
"My aura and mana veins had been blocked. It was a defect that I had from my birth. During that time, I had to think about how to unblock it. I tried to brute force it but it did more damage. It took a while to get it cured." Raven said as he placed another plate of food for Ciara. The pair began to talk more about how Yennifer and Raven slowly fall in love. For Raven that answer was easy. It was Yennifer's blade and how elegant she looked when she was fighting that won him over. Even when she was sparring. Yennifer also aspired to be as great as her mother, which felt like a difficult task in her eyes.
"Your mother was a warrior when she was 16, thrown into the fire because of circumstance. She was the heir of her swordsmanship and duchy. Forge your own legend my daughter, but remember to always be kind to all. Be strong and gentle. Your mother's swordsmanship is that of a lion. Mine is that of an opportunist. Combine them both and you will find weaknesses in our foes. That's what is important. Staying in this world, you will see what life is like without the titles of nobility and the honors that come with it. Focusing on merits. But you will see corruption on a deeper level. But always follow your own heart."
"Yes, father." Ciara said as they both took sips of their beer. Finishing up and when Raven was about to pay. They heard the siren go off. The dungeon portal had broken, where a werewolf had appeared by the shop's entrance. Prompting Ciara to punch it out of the way with aura. Raven put on an eyepatch as he became the Crimson Rain Petals.
"I'll pay the bill when this is sorted." The shopowner gave a nod watching Raven step out, seeing Ciara face against the dozens of werewolves alone. Against a lion? That was a joke because the roar from Ciara's blade was enough to rile the werewolves up. A howl of defiance against her. Completely unaware of the crimson petals that had began to surround them. Upon making contact, the petals would cut through the part that was touched. Ciara took a moment to see her father's swordsmanship.
It was different, but the application of aura was much more interesting. Rather than use it as a wave, the aura itself had been dissipated into petals. Taking shape as Raven drew his blade, the way the sword flowed like a branch being caught in a great wind. Petals would follow suit as Ciara kept an eye on it.
"Aura is not simple, Ciara. Everyone's aura follows their swordsmanship's nature. The aura of the lion that strengthens your blade. It's roar that follows your swings. Mine are petals because of the gentleness and strength of the Crimson Rain Petals. By understanding that you're a lion and your blade is that of a lion. It can be stronger. It just needs a heart to follow it. Resolve. You are my daughter, who protects the weak and kills monsters to keep remote villages safe." Those words had renewed Ciara's resolve as the roar of her blades became much more distinct, her blade would maim the werewolves with the lightest of motions. She understood what Raven was saying.
One's nature when in combat, when strengthened with the their true nature out of combat would be fruitful.
"Waldo. Donald." Waldo a young mage appeared with his staff by Raven's side where as Donald was a burly man who wore a floral patterned shirt, putting on his pair of brass knuckles.
"Ah, werewolves. Shall I join and burn them?"
"No, just give your flames to Ciara. Donald." Donald dashed ahead as his fists swung at the werewolves. A single hit forced them to take a step back. The werewolves turned their attention to Donald who just lit a cigarrette.
"Well. That's expected. He doesn't talk much."
The werewolves had speed and power. Donald took a few grazes on his body because he was still getting used to the idea of facing werewolves. The combo of punches and palm strikes, pushed the werewolves back. His fists were like sledgehammers. Donald was a brawler first and foremost, the speed of his jabs were blurs in the eyes of many. Focusing on hitting the werewolves when he can. One lunging from the side, teeth sinking into his hand. Only for Donald to smirk, striking the werewolf's chest repeatedly. Forcing it to let go, then smashing its head to the ground. A stomp to finish the job.
Smoke emitted from his lips, as the werewolves movements changed. Coordinating together as they planned to go after him. Ignoring Ciara. Proving their fatal mistake as their backs had been turned, giving Ciara room to cut them down with Donald just went after the werewolves with his own blend of ferocity.
Waldo joined in, unleashing flaming spears that forced the werewolves attention to him. Giving Ciara and Donald a chance to strike them down from behind. Bolting to the next target as Raven sheathed his saber.
"It's been a while, Donald. How's it going?" the bloodstains over Donald were evident of his growth. Chirping of birds, Hunters and Association Agents galloping to the scene to handle the clean up. Setting up barricades as well preparing to take care of anyone who has been injured. Donald's face had weathered over the years, the same old floral patterned shirt with a coat and the loosened tie.
If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.
"Just the years taking its toll." Donald spoke casually as embers of Waldo's magic lit his cigarette in his fingers. Unlike most people, Donald had a unique habit of holding the cigarette with his thumb and index finger. Rather than the usual way of it being between the index and middle fingers. Letting it hang by his lip.
"Thanks." Donald spoke as he scratched the back of his head. Waldo merely gave a gentle smile as he turned to Raven. Eyes brimming with curiosity and his mind? Definitely processing questions to ask Raven.
"I never knew that aura can be used that way. Is it because of your skill as a 10th star aura master?"
"More or less, Waldo. How's it being the fire tower mage?"
"I already handed it to my disciples. I believe they should be suitable for the role." Raven turned to Ciara who was checking on the others. Trying to make sure everyone was safe and that no one was injured.
"She's a hardworker that one." Donald spoke as he put on a pair of glasses.
"Reading glasses, Donald?"
"No. Ran out of contacts." Ciara returned, breathing heavily from all the work.
"Thank you father, this outing has been quite useful."
"Donald?"
"I'm going to check out the sights. I'll see you at the hotel." Donald left first while Waldo excused himself from the father and son outing, perhaps needing to go find Arcian and Sichilde. Raven headed back to the shop, where the shop owner who wanted to make it free as gratitude for what the pair had done. Raven however didn't accept it, stating that it was his duty to handle such matters. The shop owner's responsibility is to serve food and meals. As a customer Raven should pay his meals out of gratitude.
Those words had the shopowner giving in. Ciara wondered about those words, the weight of it. The two of them headed to the next location. By the park where they both got ice cream, taking their seat beneath the trees that gave the country it's name. The Cherry Blossoms. People moving about in the park, families spending their time with each other.
"Father. Do you... Ever regret not spending time with us?"
"No. I didn't. Because back then I just wanted to get my powers back and go back to this world and kill everything. But with time reset and there's nothing that can end this world. So now, I do regret not spending enough time with you two. I lived those worlds but I had to come back here." Ciara seemed unsure of what to believe in that answer, just enjoying their cups of green tea ice cream. Savoring the richness of the green tea within the ice cream.
"I'm glad you're here with me, Ciara. Even if I don't sound like it. I got another 5 tickets. I might do a ten pull later to see what we'll get. Maybe we can bring your mother here too."
"That'd be delightful." Ciara smiled as the pair enjoyed their time off. It was a good break.
"Father. If a woman that you love appears in this world, do you plan to get married with her?"
"I wouldn't know.If it happens, it happens. Sometimes you need to view it as that Ciara. Staring too far off in the future for too long will make you not enjoy the present. It's how I came to that regret. Instead of enjoying my life as the Personas. But I have time. So I can spend time making memories." Raven patted Ciara's head. Her eyes closed as she remembered the silhouette of her father who patted her head whenever she did a good job.
"Maybe I should try my luck with the pulls. See what or who I get." The door appeared in front of Raven, glowing with many colors.
Beginning 10 summon ticket pull.

Jersey - DUPLICATE.
Jersey gains additional skills.
Aura Can now use aura. *Needs to be taught* Mana Can now use mana *Needs to be taught*
20 members of Blue Rose.
Intelligence Collection Specialists.
Uses fists and pistols.
Let's find some info. Blue Roses handle information gathering. They find and compile information as a group. Fighting's not our strong suit but if we have to. We don't pull our punches. The members aren't combat oriented like Jersey but they can put up a good fight. Details. Details. When fighting enemies, they compile information on their weaknesses to the elements. Information can be shared to others in the forms of documents and pamphlets or brochures. (Jersey being able to use aura and mana means she can teach her subordinates of Blue Rose to do the same)
Rodin and Aisha stepped out, their kopis resting on their hips. Aisha ruffled her own hair, messing up her pixie cut. The pair wore matching white shirts with loosened ties. A skull tattoo by their eyes, a scorpion's tail tattoo ran up against their neck. Behind them were the Blue Rose members who wore suits that had a rose on the lapels, pistols concealed within their coats.
"Enforcer." Rodin and Aisha chorused together.
"Boss." The Blue Rose members stood before him, hands resting on their backs. Standing feet wide apart, lowering their heads before him.
"Father. Thank you for spending time with me. I believe you should catch up with them." Ciara gave Raven a hug before leaving the park. Raven's eyes were on Rodin and Aisha who took their seats beside him on a park bench. Pulling out books and pens as they placed the books in Raven's hand. A glance through the Book of Wrongs and one for the Book of Corrections.
"Blue Rose. Head to Jersey's location. Rodin, Aisha. Seems like you took note of plenty of wrongs and targets for correction."
"We await your orders."
"Save it for later. We'll handle them in our own way." Raven, Rodin and Aisha left the park. Taking a nice walk as the sun had sunk away, for the moon to come to light. Rodin lighting a cigarette for Raven while Aisha was making small talk with Raven. Questions in the current world and how's the Shady Enforcer's crew. Aisha's answer was the best, the crew had handled everything and everyone's clear from bullshit. They got the invitation to join Raven's side, now waiting for their time to be called.
"Do they have rats here?" It wasn't an actual question, a code for saying that there were people following them.
"20 infested areas." Rodin spoke as his pen flowed sentences in the Book of Wrongs. Taking a right turn to a dead end, where Aisha readied her Book of Corrections. Her fountain pen blotting the numbers unto the pages as she hummed a tune. Masked men appeared with weapons in hand. Clearly they weren't here to talk.
"We are the Black Wolves. Subsidiary of the Blue Vipers. I trust you understand why this is happening?" Raven kept quiet as Rodin placed a cigar on Raven's lip with Aisha lighting up for him. The masked men continued saying the typical things. The Blue Vipers need Raven eliminated because he's a liability to their plans. How the dungeons should be maintained for profit and the loss of human life is a sad side effect to it. An entire moment of rambling while Rodin and Aisha penned down the details. Raven just let his mind doze off, not paying attention to whatever they were saying.
"Actions recorded for the Book of Wrongs." Rodin's words raised eyebrows to the masked men who were present. Abruptly interrupting the ring leader who raised his blade against Rodin. A thrusting attack whereby Rodin took a step to the side as his tattoo began glowing. An uppercut that sent the ringleader flying into the air, then Rodin caught him by the collar. One arm holding the Hunter's weight off the ground.
"Correction?" Aisha asked as Rodin passed his kopis to her. Rodin took off his shades, passing it to Raven who just held onto it. Casually puffing smoke like a kettle whistling the smoke out of it.
"Yep. Make it quick." With those words Rodin and Aisha bolted into action, the Black Wolves only kept their focus on Rodin because wanting to get their ringleader back. The classic mistake of underestimating Aisha, which would prove to be fatal. Seizing the opportunity as Aisha graced through them with her dance. Limbs were flying about as Raven leaned on a wall, taking a deep whiff of his cigar. Letting the smoke linger in his mouth, trying to keep his thoughts idle. Not paying attention as an arm stained the wall on his right.
Hearing the groans and screams of pain as blood splashed about. Raven doused his cigar, coming back to reality to see Rodin still holding onto the ringleader's collar while the others had been butchered like lambs. Chunks of body parts strewn about but Raven could see a blood stain on his shoes.
"Aisha." Seeing her flinch to her name being called, it was a clear indication she knew what she had done wrong. Which Rodin just threw the ringleader to the side. Penning down Aisha's wrong as his foot crushed the head of the ring leader.
"Sorry, Enforcer. It's been a while since I had a good correcting." Aisha was trying to peek into Rodin's book, only for Rodin to push her back by flicking her forehead.
"Did you seriously write that as a wrong, Rodin?"
"A wrong is a wrong, Enforcer." The sound of thumping from Rodin's book and a stare from the Book Keeper of Wrongs had Raven letting out a sigh. Sometimes Rodin's thick skull is what makes it hilarious. That seriousness and earnestness in gauging a wrong. Not that Raven could fault him for it. Sometimes that is what made Rodin a good Book Keeper of Wrongs, nothing goes beyond him and Aisha despite her reckless nature. The trio headed back to the hotel where they noticed the blood on Aisha's clothes.
"Chief. Do you need us to go handle it?" Jack inquired as Raven could feel their bloodlust surround the walls. Wrath looming in their veins as they were holding back.
"No. Don't worry about it. It's just some rats. My Book Keepers handled it. Let's go to bed. Prepare for tomorrow."
