Raven was in the car with his suitcase. Tracy was reading out the things that he already knew. She had a good voice, and the looks to be a celebrity. She's 3 years younger than him.
"Willer." She paused from her notes, glancing at Raven as her blue eyes met with his.
"Yes, Mister President?"
"Why did you be the secretary?"
"The former President helped me a lot when I-." The sound of a crack was heard as the car came to a dead stop.
"There's a Void at the city center. I'm calling the Void Agency now!" Raven could see the Horrors step out, they were going after the civilians.
"No time for that. You get to a safe spot." Bringing the suitcase with him.
"But Mr President!" Raven shut the door as he drew out the knife. Bolting into the chaos as a horror grabbed a child. Opening its maw to take a bite, the limb holding the child was severed by Raven's knife. Catching the child as the limb faded away, absorbed into his knife.
"So that's how it works. Go on, kid." the child ran to his mother's arms as the horrors churned to Raven. Twitching at every movement, their appendages began to take shape as spears. Chasing him down as Raven grinned. Weaving through the attacks, fast foot work as he had his back turned to the horrors. They took the bait given to them, focusing all of their attacks into that one moment. Only for Raven to mutilate their limbs off. One opened the maw to eat him as Raven moved into it. Slashing through as the blood splattered on his clothes. The horrors felt something stir within their bellies.
A sensation they had never experienced before. One that they had enjoyed from humans. Their instincts said to eat the humans, to taste their fears. Yet, that taste of fear had turned their own flesh into sweetness. They should be overjoyed at such a revelation but, Raven was the one who was going to feast on them. The tables had turned. A cornered rat was now a devilish fox that was going to take them all on. The katana radiated in blue energies as Raven felt his body speed up. Slashing the horrors like they were animals in a slaughterhouse. Defiance of the highest regard for the horrors that tried to flee, one took the form of a child. Speaking words to get Raven to show mercy, only for Raven to bisect it with a smile on his face.
The katana hummed a song of madness, the screaming horrors became the vocals for this twisted melody. Their snarls were losing its place, rather now a shriek of fear. They were being hunted as the horrors skittered away, hoping to find safety. It would fail as Raven would cut them down. He would keep going, one of them ran into the place where Raven was supposed to go. Grabbing a hostage.
"She will die if you keep pursuing me, human! You wi-" Raven was already walking beside the horror, it's head turned to see Raven's grin with the katana held in a reverse grip. Parking a cigarette to his lips as the horror found its death. Its body parted in two with a wriggling heart that was beneath Raven's feet. Lighting up a cigarette as the Void Agents arrived.
"Clean up over here. Check on the residents. I think two of the bastards escaped. I'm going to go find them." Raven said as he bolted off before the agents could say a word, walking around the city as it had turned into a ghost town. Though Raven may not have a persona equipped with him at the moment, Abyss's Hatred Beyond reason makes them easier to sniff out. A film crew was moving about, an obvious target but there was also the fact that a teacher was guiding her kindergarteners crossing the street. Two targets. Now Raven just needed to wait for them to make their move.
Both of them leaped out at the same time, Raven threw his katana to the kindergarteners. Impaling the horror to a nearby wall while he fired his pistol to the one near film crew. His feet flowing like a tsunami. Like a tsunami that horror was lacerated before the eyes of the film crew. Camera catching a glimpse of Raven's fluid movement. The horror's attacks missed as Raven zig zagged between it, closing the gap at point blank range. Knife to slash through its flesh with the pistol at the heart. The horror fell as Raven went after the one impaled to the wall, it threw his blade back at him.
"How courteous!" He caught the blade as his feet skidded, reaching the horror as his grin would be the last thing it would see and the gentle hum would haunt its soul until the end of time. The Abyss's Gaze. Bloodlust that is accumulated by the soul, the more one kills. The stronger one can be. The stronger one's intimidation would possess. Tracy made her way to Raven.
"Mister President!"
"Let's go Willers. I need to go do the city visit." Raven said as he took out the spent magazine and put it to his pocket. Holstering the pistol and swinging the blood off the blades. Making his visit to the city's mayor and governor while he had blood. He didn't take a seat, he just stood there the entire time. Listening to them talk, seeing them sweat bullets at the sight at the blood stained appearance. Whatever they had to say, Tracy took notes as Raven listened to their troubles. He had solutions for each of their problems, much to Tracy's surprise.
Raven's mind was going back to his days as a Commander of a large army. Winning hearts and minds. Back then he had a set of rules to follow but if he's the President. What rules does he need to follow? If he's the highest authority, then he's got more leeway than before. Leaving the mayor and governor as he went back to the car with Tracy. She seemed to have a lot on her mind. A lack cluster attempt to keep herself occupied as she glanced through the itinerary for the upcoming days.
"If you got questions, Willers. Speak up. I don't need drones in my office. Whatever's on your mind. You have a right to question me." Tracy paused, meeting with Raven's eyes. The man seemed bored. The man before her didn't match what she had heard or seen of Raven Willers.
"You were timid back then. You couldn't say anything to anyone. You would never speak so proudly before anyone. So why now?"
"When you meet death right in the face. It can change you. If I didn't fight in that void, I would've died. I'm not going to be a pushover. I fought against the charges to stay alive, my parents were killed by criminals. I'll be honest with you Willers. I'm tempted to walk over to the houses and kill them right now.I don't care about this country but I respected the late President and I got a debt. She helped me the best way she could. By giving me advice. When my debt is paid to her. I won't bother holding back. The rule will be that in my office. I won't tolerate disrespect to anybody that works in it. From the janitors, the clerks to people like you and the advisors."
"Yes, Mister President."
Arriving back at the office where Raven got himself a sports bike that he had Fenris buy for the Valors. Taking it back to his house, it looked luxurious on the outside. A two storey villa but it was empty on the inside. Opening the door as Raven went to the gunsafe he had Regal purchase.Along with additional weapons he would need. Attaching a suppressor to a regular pistol. Parking a cigarette to his lips, as the gentle heat from his lighter woke the cigarette to its purpose. He could feel a set of people moving about within the compound. He had the ammo and a karambit in his hand. Hitting the breakers as darkness invaded the villa. The thick scent of tobacco loomed in the air. As the unknowns made their way inside, with pistols and knives in hand.
Creeping as they searched the halls for Raven. Unaware that he had all of them in his sights. Six shots, then the karambit. Lacerating their organs before they could react. Slitting their throats as the embers of Raven's cigarette had done its duty. Spent from that brief encounter. Calling the police. Then Raven just waited for them to handle the rest. Giving his statement, surrendering his firearm that was used in the event. Two more days to the weekend, but Raven was awfully spent. Running a country is no joke, even when he was in his bed that night. All he could think about was economical damage, the social infrastructure issues and more.

Damn. Sucks to be this Raven. He was just a Senator now he has to run an entire country?
Waking up the next day as Raven got on his bike, riding to the office. First stop was getting coffee for the ones who make it early.
"Morning, Krane." He greeted the janitor as he brought a cup of coffee for the elderly man.
"Ah, thank you. Mister President."
"Please call me Raven. It's only 8.30. Mr President only clocks in at 9 o'clock. How's the grandson?"
"Oh he's doing well..." Making small talk with some of the staff and clerks, going around giving them their morning coffees and teas.
"Thank you, Mister President."
"Remember, call me Raven. I'm not on the clock yet."
"But you are now, Mister President." The woman gestured to her watch which was 9 o'clock sharp.
"Thanks. I'll get to my office now." Sipping on his cup of chamomile tea, reading into the daily news on his tablet.
'President Raven Ashenworth handled a void break by himself.'
'Residents of Mildew talked about how he hunted the Horrors by himself.'
'Assassination attempt on the President's life. Police begin investigation. President Ashenworth brutalized the attackers.' Before he could read the comment section though, his four advisors arrived.
"Sorry for the delay in getting to know you all."
"Mr President.. I'm from Mildew and I'm grateful that you saved my wife and son." The bald man spoke, while his legs were trembling. Watching Raven open the window, as a cigar was lit up.
"We were lucky. If I was late. It may be a different story."
"Right.. I'm Terry Bruin. National Defense Advisor."
"My name is Leanne Withers. Intelligence Director." The woman in blue suit introduced with the pixie cut, she reminded Raven a lot of Jersey.
"Marco Atkins, Administrative Advisor." The youthful man spoke with vigor, for a guy in this line of work. He's very muscular. His shirt seemed to nearly burst from the sheer volume of his chest muscles.
"Former Federal Court Judge, Alexei Krugis." Raven showed them the stacks of documents before them. Four stacks separated with sticky notes on the top right corners.
"My proposal to work our way through the crisis. Terry, the squad that rescued me. What's their name?"
"They were given the designation of Valor, sir. They mentioned you prefer to be called Scorpio?" Smiling to that designation, a nickname that he had earned in the past.
"Yes. that's how it should be. Leanne I think the voids cracking this many can mean something else is going on. Work with Terry and relay information to Valor. Tell them to handle as many voids as they can. Tell the Void Agency director to bypass the rank. Those four answer only to me."
"But sir.. Going into that many voids..."
"They can handle it." Raven's words had them feeling nervous at that remark.
"I'm only keeping this seat warm. If there are voids near the capital. I'll be heading into them. That'll ease some of the work."
"But Mister President... It's dangerous if you do that!" Tracy argued as the others chorused to her opinion.
"I'm not supposed to be the President. I'm just a Senator who got thrown into it. But now I can handle the void. How's the Void Agency's growing with Valor?"
"Exceptionally well, sir. The Valors have been teaching the others on combat tactics, strategies and the like against the various types of Horrors they've seen. It's been increasing our success rate." Terry explained further. Highlighting that even the low ranking agents can handle Voids with extension of police and military getting the new equipment designed by Regal. Easy to use, can injure horrors to slow them down and leave traces on them. Then the Void Agents will proceed with the hunt.
"Have this technology be made public and send it to every country."
"Mister President... That's too rash."
"Voids are appearing everywhere. We hold this technology to ourselves and people will resent us." Then hearing a knock on the door, where Warcrest walked in with a heavy box in his hand.
"Hey, Scorpio."
"Warcrest. How's the development of that?"
"Yeah it's going great. Your data on how it works has given me an idea. As I was training the newbies, I realized that they need more to survive. Their current armor isn't that great, so I decided to make the VS suits. Void Shielding Suits, if you want to be technical about it. Full on body suits that use void energy to prevent heavy injuries to the body. Made a prototype. Want to test it out?" Warcrest opened it up, to reveal a helmet that had multiple lenses. Similar to Raven's Scorpio persona. Putting it on as the suit manifested onto his body. Slim fitted with small thigh thrusters equipped. Miniature boosters on the back.
"That one's yours. I call it the Blood Wing Mark 1. How's it feel?" The joints felt good, it was 1 to 1 movement. No lag time or any sort of slow down. The HUD opened up as the lenses began shifting bit by bit. Raven could even see microorganisms in the air now.
"Make sure it's 1 to 1 on all suits. A slight lag can be fatal for the others. The thrusters and boosters are a nice touch."
"You like moving fast, Scorpio. Won't need a car since it has an internal battery. For weapons... Regal made a few prototypes." Raven picked up a unique weapon. Blocky in design with an internal magazine that was attached below the grip. OLED that lit up to show the ammunition count.
"150 rounds. Regal said instead of the usual 30 rounds. He said it's experimental as shit, even the magazines were unique. Card magazines. He said.. Something about compressing.. And decompressing? I don't know, man. It's all that whacky void shit. But I did make the ammo for it. 12mm. It's been tested by me in dungeons. Good caliber, with the suit it dampens recoil to an extent so it's like firing 5.56."
"Sounds good. Seems like Regal's been into card magazines lately." Raven put the rifle on his back where a magnet pulled it in.
"No need for a sling because of the special magnet that's been finely tuned for that thing. So newly made weapons and we've been using out the basic suits to give it a feel. The Void Agency is getting their own VS suits. Your model is going to be mass produced for the special forces teams. I had to make an OS that can handle your insanity. It reacts by thought."
"Great. Anyway, Willers. Take care of things here. I'm going to a void." Raven said as they see him jump out the window.
"Wait, Mister President!"
"Don't bother. Scorpio's always been like that. Just let him do what he wants and it'll be fine." Warcrest's casual remarks didn't do them any good but as they checked their phones. Voids were being cleared at a record pace. Three voids in a matter of minutes.
"Yeah. He's pushing that suit through its paces. With that data, I can start working on the mass production models. Anyway, see ya." When Warcrest left, Tracy and the advisors just glanced at each other. Then turning to the amount of paperwork that's on the table.
"That's a lot of documents he's handled..." The phone rang as Tracy picked it up. Hearing gunfire on the other end.
"Hello?"
"It's me, Willers. I forgot to add your numbers into my phone so I can't contact you directly. We can talk on this line while I clear the void."
"But sir, you won't be able to give your full attention!"
"I can. So what's on the agenda?" Tracy picked a file and read it out.
"The first issue is your ceremony for being the President and the oath. We'll be doing that tomorrow."
"Got it. But since the congress building is destroyed we'll have it by the Marvelina's Monument of Liberty. 8 AM right?"
"Yes, sir." she put Raven on loudspeaker as they heard snarling from the horrors. Gunfire and the sound of blades clashing polluted the air. It was an awkward moment as they heard Raven curse at the horrors.
"Hey this isn't how it works! You're the horrors! Come on and scare me! This is fucking stupid! Why are you running?!" Hearing the snarling turn into whimpers and a cry.
"No... Human please no-" the slurred voice faded.
"Well that's one void down. Ah void crystals. Better pick them up so we can use them later. Anyway, Willers. What's the next item?"
"Mister President, are you sure you want to proceed like this?"
"Why not? I mean, I get to have a good workout. I get to hunt some horrors. Besides, testing equipment has been fun. I mean, I get to see the pros and cons by myself." then hearing a laughter coming from behind. Then followed by a scream. A moment of silence as Willers was worried.
"Relax. I'm still on the line. It's just a horror disguised as a child and opened up its body to attack me. Cute kid, too bad I blew its brain out." Another roar over the loudspeaker.
"Oh it has a mother! And siblings! Really cute. Too bad though, I'm going to gut you open!" Hearing him hum a happy song was unnerving. It was as if Raven has been used to such a situation. Nothing was making sense.
"By the way. Just throw common sense out the window when it comes to my actions. Especially about me heading into voids. Now, I'm going to have days where I'll be in the office and days where I won't be in the office. Too many voids pop up in the capital? I'll go handle them. Too little voids in capital? I'll be in the office. That's how this'll work. Am I clear?"
"Yes, Mister President!"
"On to the next item. I'll be back by lunch." They continued on as Raven was handling his matters in the dungeon. Making inquiries to the agenda items and the issues towards the items. It was bizarre for them as their president was literally just giving orders and solutions via loudspeaker. With all the violence in the background, hearing him speak up about what he thought on the matters. His questions that needed answers that were not prepared or detailed enough yet.
Life goes on?
