The brawling circle was wide, the two fighters had plenty of room to maneuver and something incredibly strange was happening right before Greg's very eyes. Soren's head started to grow two forward facing horns on his head, hard black scales began to expand on his limbs from his nails up to his elbow and the same thing from his feet to his knees keeping much of the human shape and design, a long heavy and solid tail sprouted from behind him, six inch razor sharp spikes erupted from the tail's joints. The skin on his face turned a deep red and began to migrate to the rest of his exposed skin, his hair turning silver at a similar pace. Large leather wings sprouted out of his back, expanding to their full length as if to stretch out.
"What...what the hell are you, " asked Greg who turned white as a sheet.
" Your death."
The group became unsettled, they knew of demons when they saw one and became emboldened with the absence of the vampire as if each of their manhood were now in question. The wrath in Soren peaked as he began to cry blood.
A man walked into the circle from behind Greg, "Well well well, a demon. I wonder what kind of bounty the government will give us for your head. Probably enough for a few of us to retire no doubt." The murmur coming from the crowd suggested that the others hadn't thought of it this way and began readying their weapons. The circle got a little tighter, Skadi took out her weapon and Tempest began to transform. The man who walked out into the circle charged Soren feeling safe behind the number of mercenaries, however, before he could manage a swing the tail whipped towards him and knocked his head clear from his neck. It was so strong and fast that the body took a few more steps before falling to the ground. Pandemonium ensued, Skadi and Tempest each engaged ten from the back. Black lightning coated Soren's fingertips.
A thunderous bolt exploded into the group of mercenaries, shortly after the smell of burnt flesh permeated the room. Greg took a step back, 'He's not the same person we left him as. I...I gotta get out of here.' Greg tried to back up but his legs were shaking and couldn't manage to run just slowly back up. It was a similar feeling to when you know you don't want to run away from a predator so you entice a chase.
Skadi was making g quick work of her group of ten, not even bothering to use much magic, she decimated the group with mostly her axe. She overpowered every male there, even breaking their weapons in the process. It didn't take long for the group of mercenaries to realize they could not win against her and tried escaping. Skadi quickly created ice mounds that trapped each of their feet in ice up to their knees. Blood dripping from her blade as she marched closer.
Tempest loomed over the ten men she was engaged with, the mercenaries trembling at the sight of her full lycanthrope form. "Escaped a vampire only to fight a werewolf man why am I so unlucky," a mercenary began to whine. Whoosh, Tempest side stepped disappearing from the mercenaries eyes. A mercenary shouted a warning, "She's fast be on gua..." he didn't get to finish his sentence. His head went flying and the body crumpled to the ground, the other mercenaries only catching a brief glimpse of her before she sped off again. One of the mercs was an archer and specialized in speed. He even possessed a skill that helped him to track his target, this man was the only one who was able to properly follow Tempest's movements. 'I've got to get out of here, this fight isn't winnable,' the man started to slink away slowly and quietly. The man was watching Tempest very closely trying to remain unnoticed, he was close. Very close to being able to escape, he looked up to check on the werewolf's position and they locked eyes.

The man felt cold sweat trickle down his face, his legs like jello and unusable, he knew then he was screwed. A couple minutes later Tempest reverted back to her human form amongst all the slain mercenaries with a smile.
The men that were with Greg banded together to attack Soren in the hopes of protecting him. Every person's that engaged with Soren was slain mercilessly. Only seconds after taking their last breath little orbs began floating out if their bodies. A purple fist sized ball of flame exploded from Soren's control as he launched it toward a merc attempting to bar his path, the concentrated ball of hellfire tore right there the man's body. There was no blood, the ball of fire was so hot that it melted all the blood vessels closed as it touched him. Nonetheless, the man dropped dead before he even knew what happened. Twenty people left, the decided to abandon Greg and ran for the exit. Soren cut them down with scythe or magic. Greg thought this as an opportunity to run for it himself since the demon seemed to not focus on him anymore, but two steps later he was face down in the dirt.
Greg's leg lost feeling as electricity pulsed through his leg his fingernails bleeding as they tore off while drilling his fingers into the floor to prevent himself from being dragged backwards. "Stick around," Soren ordered, as he culled every one of the mercenaries company leaving Greg to be the last one. "Why," Greg shouted, "why didn't you kill me!? Why go after the men that did nothing to you?!"
"Its quite simple really, you know you will die here. For what you did to me though, does not grant you a quick death. You will wonder with anticipation when your last moment will come, you will suffer as I did. Repay kindness a hundred fold, repay animosity by a thousand. Also, they tried to help you and I can't have that," Soren laughed maniacally. Greg's pegs were still not working properly, but that soon didn't matter. Soren subconsciously activated his gravity magic on his leg as he dropped it onto each of Greg's ankles shattering the bone. Greg's screams echoed off the cave walls. "Fight for your life! Struggle to survive like I did when you abandoned me," shouted an enraged Soren. Soren chased Greg around the cave for hours, accumulating so many injuries in such a stressed state that his heart gave out. A slivery orb floated above Greg's body, and without hesitation, was devoured by Soren.
