Soren was looking at the details of his current quest, 'I'm glad my brother decided to come along at least that way he will hear the information straight from the source instead of from me who he doesn't trust at the moment. Though if I had to be honest with myself, I don't know I would be able to trust me given the circumstances.' He then turned and gazed down at the two men unconscious at his feet and it took every ounce of his will to not torture them where they lay. He was having so much trouble with his focus that his [Human Transformation] skill was starting to falter as he could feel his tail lengthening and shortening as a testament to his struggle. "Soren," Skadi called interrupting his train of thought, "Ness is here, he agreed to see what this was all about." His human form returned to its immaculate state now that he was focused on something other than his rage. "I've got to give you some credit at least you now definitely look like my brother would if he were still alive," complimented Ness. Soren cast his eyes downward as he made a pained expression, "I don't want to lie to you Ness, I possess an ability that lets me look human at the cost of mana this is not my true form."
"Umm...what is your true form?" Ness asked as he shifted his weight to back up.
"You'll see it soon enough, but I promise you'll understand once they wake up."
Soren motioned to Skadi; who nodded, picked them up, and carried them off deeper into the cave before dropping them into a large opening in the cave floor while the four of them stood on the edge of the hole where the men and chimera snoozed away. "Stand further in so they cannot see you, once they reveal the truth then come show your face, if you want to that is," Soren instructed as Ness backed away from the hole. 'I don't know if I want to watch what that beast does to those guys. Not sure how I would feel if they actually did kill my brother," thought Ness. Soren signaled to Tempest who woke up the two sleeping on the ground before leaping back up with the help of Skadi. Their eyes began to flutter open as the stood up frantically being unfamiliar with their current location their eyes locking onto Soren immediately. "You! How dare you lil' bastard bring us here," shouted Evan. Soren gazed down at them coldly. "Oh ho! What a scary face you're making. Since you had to resort to some underhanded trick to get us here, I guess that means you don't have the confidence to face us. You must've used some other underhanded trick to get rid of the adventurers from the Dominating Titan guild! I know you're scared that they've been hunting you!," James berated. "I'd quit shouting if I were you," replied Soren.
"What is our yelling hurting your feelings"
"You don't think I hate the three of you enough to shout at you?" Questioned Soren as he nonchalantly raises his arm to point at the chained monster sleeping right behind him. The two of them immediately recoil away from the monster. "H-how did you manage to get this thing here," Evan stuttered.
"Ah finally showing the colors of a coward now are we? My comrades and I fought it, subdued it and brought it here. I thought it fitting to watch you die in the same manner you did to me."
"We never watched you die! How cruel did you become after that dungeon? You obviously stole the artifact, beat the monster inside and were waiting to harness your power before coming after us," James retorted.
"I'll give you the fact that all that would be plausible but the proof of your betrayal is irrefutable, you see I am no longer human I was turned into a monster and had to struggle so much more for survival than if I was able to just continue living in my peaceful village with my brother whom you've practically turned into a slave. That does not make me happy, does not make me happy at all." Soren calm rebuttal became more emotional the longer he talked; his skin began to turn red, his hair returned to its silvery white color, his tail sprouted to its full length, and his wings erupted from his back.
Evan and James were sweating profusely, they did not know what kind of sick twist of fate this was turning out to be but they had to escape and they were willing to do just about anything to do so. "What do you want from us," asked Evan.

"I want you to admit that you three killed me and left me to die by getting devoured by an Ogre variant."
"If you kill us you'll never hear a confession from us, so if you swear not to kill us I will recite our side of the whole story," James bargained.
"I promise to not kill you," replied Soren.
'Whoa, that's what he looks like now!? I cannot imagine what he's been through...wait when did I start to believe that was my brother? I have to hear the rest of the story from James and Evan first,' thought Ness.
"We wanted to grab the artifact in the chasm but we didn't know how deep it was so we voluntold you to go with the bottom of Greg's foot. We had hoped you would've died from the fall. We regretted having you around and were tired of paying for you, when we had woken up that Ogre it was either our survival or yours and that was an easy decision to make especially after you were so kind to point out the exit to us. Instead of having to pay you or risk the ogre getting out we sealed the room shut. When we became stronger and returned the rewards from killing that thing were quite nice as well," explained Evan.
Ness walked to the edge of the hole in the cavern floor and Evan's eyes lit up, "Aw my disciple! Quite nice timing help your master out of this hole immediately."
Ness stood there not moving while Evan and James looked at each other with a confused look, "Boy, I know you're not the brightest but get your master and his friend out of this hole now! Or do you no longer want my recommendation at the academy?"
"Shut up. You've barely taught me anything I've had to mostly self study or beg other people to teach me what they could all you've done is take advantage of me and even lied to me and basically sentenced my brother to death for just not wanting to pay him."
Upon finishing the chains that bound the chimera began to squirm like worms as the links turned to a semi liquid like state and after a few brief moments they returned solid as they were originally and dropped to the floor. Ness turned to Soren with a smile and a couple of tears running down his face, "Its been quite a while, but I think this is the first time you've let me help you do anything brother." Wiping his face Ness left the cave, Soren picked up a stone and through it into the chimera as hard as he could. The chameleon chimera woke up and roared in fury from the level of disrespect shown to it by its prey and its eyes locked onto the two people that wounded its body and pride. "Struggle for me," Soren taunted as he sat down to watch Evan and James duel with this powerful monster.
{ROOOOOOAAAAAAR} the chimera rampaged throughout the floor constantly changing colors from the plethora of spells Evan had been throwing its way. Fire spear, ice lance, lightning javalin, water bullet, earth spike, nothing could get through the chimera's defenses as it would just time its change and grant itself immunity to whatever damage was being thrown at it. For the chimera, however, James was quite a bit more of an annoyance continually stabbing its blind spots every time it went for Evan. The chimera then decided to change its tactic, it would focus on James forcing him to dodge, duck and weave out of the way of powerful attacks while only having to keep an eye on Evan and change its elemental type for when Evan was able to gather the mana to cast the spell. This strategy was working significantly better for it, even though the damage James was inflicting on it was minimal. It did not take long but the cries of pain emanated from the cave for a while, reverberating off the walls till all that could be heard was the crunching of bones as Evan and James were both devoured by the chimera.
What are those orbs of light in the pit next to the chimera?
Using the last sleeping potion in his possession, Soren put the beast back to sleep as curiosity took hold of him using his [inspect] skill on the orbs of light he saw.
Soren's eyes widened as his memory flashed to a particular ability of his. 'So this is what it was talking about when it said a wrathful state,' Soren concluded. He decided to ultimately not think on it too much and tossed both of the souls into his mouth.

For the first time the system procured a slot machine like object to illustrate the effect Soren's luck stat had.
The three pictures on the machine started to rotate through eight items each and every time it made it through one round of selections the speed would increase exponentially. Soren internally shouted stop when he felt the feeling was right and the same image appeared on all three wheels and it was denoted by two words: Diamond Reward.
Soren could not believe his eyes as the three items appeared in front of him, 'What the hell are assimilation items!!?'
