"Are you two interested in doing assimilating with these items? Depending on how lucky we are we can get quite a huge power boost," Soren asked as the three items were laid out in front of them.
"Any opportunity to get stronger is one we cannot pass up, however, I also don't think here is a good place to do it, we should find another secluded location," stated Tempest. Nodding in agreement the three of them left the chimera in the cave and went to search for another secluded area to assimilate with their items, and during their search they stumbled upon an underground cellar of sorts. This cellar looked like it hadn't been used in ages, dust and cobwebs lined all the horizontal surfaces within the cellar. They were a bit cramped due to the shelves with miscellaneous items on them and the barrels that hugged all the walls, towards the back of the cellar separated by another wall was a room that had been emptied of materials so they each picked a wall to lean up against as they held their items and were trying to figure out how the assimilation process would proceed. Soren held the heart, while Skadi held the skull, and Tempest was the only one compatible with the vial of blood. They each held their respective artifacts and began to meditate with them but they produced little to no results. An indeterminable amount of time had passed when Tempest heard something in the softest whisper, "Drink me." She then obliged, undid the cork and downed the contents. Immediately she felt a liquid fire engulf her throat and her veins scorched as she felt the blood travel throughout her body, her eyes dilated leaving no color to her eyes as she began to writhe to and froe on the ground as she grabbed her throat with both hands as soundless screams escaped her. The other two didn't notice Tempests' suffering as things began to happen with their own artifacts; Soren's blood started to flow out of his body from his chest and circulate in and out of the heart, every cycle of entering and exiting that happened returned more color to the heart. After the fiftieth cycle the heart produced a single loud {da dum} and the skin in the center of Soren's chest began to part. Skadi's skull began to liquify and began to wrap itself around her face partially smothering her, and to her horror, felt paralyzed to where she could not move as she struggled to breath. She was able to breath enough to not die, but not enough to satiate her desire for oxygen. The preparations for the assimilation had been completed as pain more intense than their evolutions assaulted them. The pain was so intense that nothing existed outside their pain; time cease to exist, thoughts extinguished like a candle, just the sounds of screams permeated the air. Fenrir's blood was running rampant throughout Tempests' body, the blood was converting her blood to Fenrir's, changing its genetic make up. Tempest's eyes became an amber color a mixture between red and yellow, her hair went from blonde to platinum, her wolf form would share a similar color change from black to platinum but the silver down the spine would still be visible. She began to transform uncontrollably; first just a finger, foot, or tail but then an arm or snout would appear. She sprang up onto her feet and smashed through one of the walls as pain assailed her whole body as she fled down the newly discovered smugglers tunnel still trying to get the transformations under control, but she was clearly losing that battle. Soren laid on the ground convulsing as his chest cavity was now completely opened, as he convulsed foam was coming out of his mouth as the blood vessels surrounding his heart tore themselves away and slowly began to attach to the dragon heart one by one. Through his pain he was no longer able to handle his human transformation skill, so he was leaving inch long gashes into the stone in the floor and walls from his nails and tail spines as he thrashed about. Once the dragon heart was fully connected it contracted {da dum}, "Gaaaah," Soren gasped for air. His heart was ejected from him chest as it died on the stone floor at a visible rate, shriveling up like a raison. The blood vessels attached to the dragon heart slowly began to bring the heart into his chest, where it nestled itself in its proper location. His chest squirmed as if there were thousands of tiny insects living just beneath his skin as they began to swarm to the gaping hole in his chest. Skadi's ordeal was just as horrific; with the titan skull now fused to her head it began to bury itself into her skin and one a part of the skull would make it through the skin a pale yellow liquid would start excreting itself from her head until a normal looking human skull rolled off her body and onto the ground. Her body calmed down after the ordeal, but only for a moment the assimilation started to creep down from her skull to her spine, and from her spine to each of her individual bones. She convulsed and screamed as her entire skeleton had been replaced by the substance the titan skull artifact had been made of. Soren and Skadi lost consciousness at the completion of their transformations, but a new problem would present itself the moment they awoke.

Soren grew two forward facing horns on his head, his limbs from his nails up to his elbow and were covered in hard black scales, his feet to his knees were also covered in the same hard scales, but kept much of the human shape and design, his tail now looked like a dragons tail with six inch long spikes instead of the demon spines, but would not impede his spike bombardment skill. Even his wings looked more closely related to dragon's than devil's. Soren reverted back to his human form quite quickly, the burden the magic would take on his body greatly diminished, also the amount of mana it would take to initiate and maintain had lessened. He felt good, his body was brimming with power.

Most of Skadi's changes were quite a bit more subtle than Soren's, although she did have a couple major changes also. Firstly her body was much denser and consequentially weighs more than she looks to weigh. All of her muscles grew more compact and contained much more power within them. Her hair changed to a very light blue from its usual darker blue, her bust both grew in size and became perkier at the same time but did not impede her balance at all. Her fingers to just past her elbows were blue enough to look like they were made entirely of ice and could freeze things in an instant if she desired, which she demonstrated by touching one the walls that immediately got a thick coating of ice on it decreasing the temperature in the cellar by several degrees. She also noticed that she was able to see her breath every time no matter the ambient temperature, she gripped her first in triumph she knew she was getting stronger and was happy that she get closer to her companion's power. She didn't want to stand beneath him, only beside him and now she is closer to that. The two of them looked around and noticed that Tempest was no where to be found, the big hole in the wall and the smuggler's tunnel was a definitely an indication to where she ran off to but neither of them had any idea what to expect, if her powerup was as significant as theirs, they have trouble calming her down. Eager to see how they changed they ran down the tunnel after her.
