"Who are you? What could you want with me?," the woman asked. Soren could feel his tolerance dwindling by the second, the words she used, "Who the am I? I asked you a question first, who are you?! Where is James?" Her facial expression gave it away, the woman looked like she had an epiphany and then quickly looked down and to the side avoiding his gaze. Almost in a whisper, "I'm Jill , James' secretary. He had said someone was after him, but I didn't believe it."
"That's all swell and all Jill, but what the hell are you doing here," demanded Soren.
"He gave me his cloak and told me tonight I'd have to run this direction while he left in a different disguise to get a head start on whomever was after him. He never told me where he was going."
"Well Jill, he left you to die, but my grudge is with him not you. If you tell me the direction he went I promise to spare you,"
Jill thought it over for a few minutes before sighing deeply," He went northeast towards the border of Acarcia, if you don't know there's a magic academy in the city by the border called Ishtar, but you'd have to go through the mountain pass first."
Soren scowled, 'Evan..., he thinks there's safety in numbers huh' He walked up to Jill, with malice emanating from him, he then hit her in the back of the neck knocking her out. "Well he probably secured a ride to out pace us, but we'll only be a few days behind lets get going. The two of them took off immediately running on the outskirts of the village towards the northeast following James' trail, but as the two of them were running five heavily armed men came into the roadway barring their path. "That's far enough, by order of the mayor this pathway is restricted for 24 hours so turn around before you get hurt," a man said while resting an oversized sword on his shoulder. Soren pulled his sword out of his spatial storage, "Skadi leave them to me, I wanna try out my new swordsmanship skills." [Blink strike] Soren disappeared right in front of the group's eyes and reappeared behind the man with the giant sword and slashed. The man was surprised but managed to barely parry the blow, but not without getting a slash on his arm. "That's an interesting fighting style let's see how you do," taunted the man. The two exchanged blows back and forth until the man with the giant sword managed to disarm Soren. 'Well, the skill is only level 1 his is far more polished at the moment, but it'll get better,' Soren interpreted the difference in the exchange. He decided to switch to his unarmed combat, since lower tier but higher leveled. Using [Clawed slash] as well his other extremities for fighting he began dealing more damage to the man with the sword, especially since he was a bit slower due to the weight of the weapon. Soren was able to analyze the techniques of the man fairly easily, ' Due to the weight and size of his weapon, even though he's a skilled fighter, he can really only swing it horizontally or vertically.' Soren was beginning to overwhelm the man and even though he had expected it to come a bit sooner, that's when his friends decided to come in and help out. Using [Blink strike] constantly, he kept managing to avoid blows and deal damage to the group, Soren was furious so this was his perfect opportunity to let off some steam. He was ruthless in his attacks and every opportunity he got he was slashing at necks, eyes, and other vital areas.

Blinking around was using lots of Soren's mana he was not able to fight this way for long periods of time, however, since he was fighting like a wild beast it was more than enough to completely overwhelm the men barring his path. He was now interested in seeing what his system would give him for unarmed combat upgrade, 'I can afford to take five minutes to sort this out, system show upgrade options for [unarmed combat].'

The troll berserker one is just all offense no defense and pain is still pain even if I regen. I don't posses tough scales, or at least not yet, but I don't know if I will be able to utilize the full extent of the dragon's fury without them. I have the most compatibility with the lycanthrope silat although I am definitely not going to be biting anyone in the near future. That pretty much determines my choice. System upgrade [unarmed combat] to [Lycanthrope Silat].
Just like before copious amount of knowledge pours into his head as he sits for a few more minutes memorizing everything and begins to alter his style to fully utilize his new style of combat. Once he completed his meditation the two of them took off for the mountain pass to try to catch up with James. After close to twenty minutes of running they came to the mountain pass town.
"Sigh, as much as I want to power through to find James, it'll ultimately be faster to sleep and see if we can't purchase mounts to help us go through the pass much quicker, what do you think," Soren asked.
"This is your venture, but if you're asking for my personal opinion, it's wise to know when to rest and I think getting a mount through the pass will be much quicker than running the whole way there." Soren nodded, having his thoughts confirmed they decided to camp out for the night and would then go to the stable master first thing in the morning. He had an idea where James was headed anyway so unless there were further problems, he would have the first and possibly the second part of his revenge already accomplished.
