The group was enjoying their time in the city, it had been a while since Soren had been there and Tempest had never been there. The three of them trained hard for several days prepping for the tournament, "What do you think we should get for food," asked Soren after a particularly difficult training session. Tempest was laying on the ground panting, Soren watched her chest move up and down in cadence with her breathing distracted. "I am really craving some steak," she said as her mouth started to salivate at the thought of a large rare piece of meat. The three of them went out to a decently priced place where everyone ordered steak. "Don't even cook mine, just give it to me raw," Tempest told the host of the place. After a quarter hour the three of them got their meals, Soren and Skadi were quite pleased with the taste and richness of their steak, however, Tempest had unintentionally extended her claws and was making deep marks into the table. When the host came back to inquire how the food was, "I SAID RAW!," Tempest exploded. Every patron in the place began to stare and the host was great taken aback, "I apologize miss, I thought you were joking so I made it as rare as our health code allows us." Without responding she picked up the steak with her bare hands and shoved a big bite into her mouth before storming out. Soren and Skadi exchanged perplexed glances at each other and apologized to the host, "I am deeply sorry, I have never seen her act that way before," explained Soren. The host was definitely a customer centric man because he simply smiled, "Tis no problem at all, wife does similar things at home, it may just be her time of the month." The host laughed heartedly and got back to serving his other patrons. Realization dawned on the pair as they paid for their meal then left to catch up with Tempest. "Hey!," Skadi called out, "You doing ok?" Tempest stopped stomping around took a deep breath, "The full moon tomorrow and it's making me go crazy," she confessed. Soren began to laugh, hard enough to have tears appear in the corner of his eyes, Skadi looked at him curiously while Tempest looked at him furiously. "The...the host...said it may be your time of month hahahaha wrong time but he definitely wasn't wrong." Skadi giggled but Tempest just looked irritated.
The next day was worse for Tempest and Bernard who entered the city just a day before. "Am I going crazy," Bernard asked Tempest privately just before lunch, "I can't seem to control my strength, I'm lashing out at everyone like every little things is this monumental slight to my pride. It's not even that I have a chip on my shoulder I can not for the life of me control my emotions or my body for that matter. I've been allergic to beef my whole life, just live on chicken, and now I'm eating whole slabs of beef raw!" Bernard went on a rant for another few minutes adding all the changes and uncomfortable state he's been in to where he was nearly shouting at the end of it.
"In a sense you are going crazy," replied Tempest
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"There's a reason why our sanity goes down, the full moon is tonight. I never shared this with the others, but there is a huge difference between our turning as a lycanthrope and the forced turning during the full moon. As werewolf's we have almost a rage we obtain from the magic of the moon. As a squire lycanthrope your bonus is roughly ten percent, while as a countess ranked lycan my bonus is fifty percent which we get exchanged for our sanity stat. My sanity only depletes by thirty, while yours should be either seventy or at best fifty. That means even though this is your first turning you may try to challenge me for alpha of Nightshade, but I guarantee you that will not work out in your favor."
[Predatory Gaze]
Bernard shivered in his spot as he felt the blood lust oozing off Tempest, 'If there is one lady to not scorn, Tempest is it,' thought Bernard as he was sure this was going to be one of the toughest nights of his life, and he was correct.
Meanwhile Soren and Skadi were in the middle of the forest training, they had just finished off their fifth land shark. The land shark did not have fins and swim through the ground like a typical shark, instead it was a massive hulking creature that burrowed through the grand at high speeds and would launch itself up out of the ground killing things with its sharp drill-like snout. This allowed them both to level up for the second time since their training began. "Do you think Tempest and Bernard will be alright," ask Skadi as she was finishing removing the valuable monster parts for them to sell later. "It's not her first turning unlike Bernard, and from what I can or what she told me was her sanity stat is pretty high for turning. I just hope she doesn't hurt him, it could be useful having a smuggler helping us out. Though now I guess he's more like a merchant," replied Soren but he continued on, "I think if one of us can win our C class tournament we can use the gold we have to buy the parts we need to fix up that fort, and make it our base of operations, our home, and a place Tempest can lock herself up to during the full moon."

"Inns are nice and all but having a permanent residence would definitely be better."
"Then its settled, we have to get back to our training sessions but we have to get back well before dark."
"What's the rush? Can't Tempest take care of herself and a beta?"
"Of course, I just Bruno from the guild a little favor. He's going to let them turn in the guilds underground training hall away from everyone. We have to go secure the chains so they don't break out later."
Later that night deep underground a man and woman were naked and chained up to the wall. The man with his improved hearing could hear just how fast the woman's heart was beating, hear how fast the woman was breathing and it would increase faster and faster the closer it came. He knew this because he was experiencing exactly the same thing. There was five minutes till the "full moon" and the closer it got the more Bernard would start to panic, "Does it hurt," asked Bernard curiously trying to prepare himself mentally, "the first turning?" Tempest's first reply was to laugh, "Not the first turning, all turnings. It's not like transforming yourself, it sucks and there is no getting used to it, this power is both a blessing and a curse."
"WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO ME! S..sorry I didn't mean to shout I can't seem to control my emotions."
"That's the full moon, it does things to us and it's definitely my fault you're in this mess I ended up messing with magic I didn't understand and decimating the fort was a byproduct of that but you seemed useful and didn't want to kill you, would you rather I have?"
"Well no I'm glad to be alive."
"You may not be in the next sixty seconds, I'd brace yourself."
Tempest laid face down on the floor, her eyes on top of her forearm her legs making a seven on the ground as if she was trying to get into a "comfortable" position. Bernard went to copy her, and no sooner had he gotten in the position did he feel something deep within. His heart rate skyrocketed, his breathing became ragged as if he just sprinted more than a mile, and pain. Unimaginable pain raked his every fiber as his bones broke by the huge strengthening of his muscles and reformed themselves longer and stronger to counteract the muscle mass. He was clawing at his skin trying to tear it off, every single pain receptor in his body felt like it was being stabbed directly by white hot needles. He grew taller, his mouth and jaw hurt as his molars and canines began to lengthen and sharpen, fur erupted from everywhere covering him completely, a whiskery tail sprouted. He thought the worse of it was over, now standing up he felt powerful and full of confidence and feeling so full of energy he couldn't help himself he took as deep of a breath as he could, "AAAWWWWOOOOOOOOOOH!" He felt great, looking around he noticed a much larger lycanthrope, but larger doesn't always mean stronger and he's never been a weak man and now that he was a lycan he felt invincible. "You're my alpha," he questioned through a growl, "I'm gonna change that. I'm going to beat you until you submit and then I am going to fuck you silly. I'll be the alpha and you'll be my cock loving queen." He tried to break free of the chains that held him but he was unable to, 'What are these infernal things made out of,' he thought. Tempest was unable to break through hers either but she was definitely trying, she had been trying the whole while Bernard had been howling. Tempest now, however, had her hair standing on end and growled a deep menacing growl as she spoke, "Did I hear you correctly whelp? You're challenging me for alpha?"
"Yea and wha..."
Bernard did not get to finish that sentence Tempest pounced on him and moved in front of him before he could finish that statement and clawed him across the chest as blood coated the floor Bernard staggered backwards. He pounced in retaliation, but she spun and whacked him hard across the face with her tail, which to him felt like getting hit by a baseball bat. "Don't even know how to fight yet you challenge me," Tempest roared her mouth opening massive as spittle flew from her mouth in her rage. Bernard tried to get up but received a massive kick in the ribs with a cracking sound to go along with it. He was launched across the floor until the chains brought him to a halt lying on his back trying to catch his breath. Before he could move from that spot a clawed hand stabbed him in the stomach and sharp teeth in a powerful jaw latched itself around his neck. "Do you submit?" Bernard caught a look at Tempest in the eyes and he had never seen such a crimson before, his legs shook involuntarily and he had been bested and handedly. "I submit alpha," he replied and she got off him and returned to trying to break the chains. Even though lycanthropes have good healing it would take the rest of the night for Bernard to be back to normal, he went to the corner to lick his wounds.
'I wasn't able to go easy on you, it'll only make you weaker if I do. I won't apologize cause we will both be hurting tomorrow, but you're definitely going to wish tonight never happened,' thought Tempest.
