"Immortal or not… Have fun drifting through the cosmos as atomized ash." Frieza mattered coldly.
"Hahaha! Now that's more like it! Well done, Frieza!" Cold praised, clapping his hands. "If they truly are immortal, I can not think of a worse fate." He laughed.
Rather than seeming grateful Frieza narrowed his eyes in annoyance. For a moment.. He wished it had been his father on the other end of that blast. He was sick of being treated like a child.
His pride and ego hurt nearly as much as his body did, which was only compounded by his father's scolding. His energy levels were running low, a discomfort he hadn't felt in decades.
Today was not the day to cross the emperor of the universe. Of course, fate being the bitch that it is, meant that no sooner after he had the thought he saw his brother appear over the horizon with captain Ginyu, the saiyan child and it's mother all in tow.
A look of disdain crossed his face. 'It seems treachery is like a cancer.. it silently spreads and swallows everything you thought you knew…' with bloodshot eyes he looked over his shoulder at his father, who appeared to be fixated on his brother. '..How long before you turn as well?.." He wondered silently.
He turned back towards his brother, who was landing over by where his blast had struck. "It seems the only answer is to burn them all to ash.." Frieza muttered absently with eyes that seemed far away.
Impact sight of Frieza's blast…
Nappa's head rested in Vegeta's lap and the man was unconscious.Turles died instantly as he was closest to the blast.
Nappa, Kakarot and Raditz were hit the worst after Turles. Specifically Nappa, as he had used his large body to somewhat shield the others. Dende was knocked unconscious and clearly hurt but it was thanks to the massive saiyan that he had lived.
Kakarot was lying in his brother's lap with a hole in his side. Raditz's injuries were so extensive that it was quite frankly amazing he was even upright. One of his legs was gone at the knee and the other was bent. His left arm was a stump from the elbow down and his right arm was gone entirely. His face was burnt badly on one side while the other seemed completely unscathed.
"Vegeta.." Kakarot began. Wincing in pain. The prince listened closely to the man as he spoke. "I understand.. I know.. how hard you worked to prove that you and Frieza weren't the same person. I know he made you do.. such terrible things. He killed our parents. Even after everything you did for him." Tears began to stream down Kakarot's eyes.
"I can't imagine what you went through and I am so sorry I wasn't there. You think he made you what you are but that was never really you.." at this point the man's breathing was becoming raggad and shallow.
"You're good.. you are the super saiyan.. destroy Frieza. Dont oet him do it.. to anyone.. else.."
A fit of coughs overtook Kakarot and he whispered his final words in his brother's ear. Vegeta only barely noticed as Kakarot's life-force slipped away. He barely noticed as Bulma, Cooler, Ginyu and Gohan approached from a few dozen meters behind him. They would arrive too late for Bulma's final Senzu bean to help.
"P-Prince Vegeta." Nappa struggled, causing Vegeta's head to snap back to the general. "Not you too.." he begged.
"...No.. Not prince. K-king Vegeta.." Nappa continued. "I'm so very.. proud of you. It has been my honor.. I'm.. ready now. Be.. Good.." The eldest living saiyan exhaled slowly and for the final time as his body went limp. The light faded from his eyes.
"Say something you stupid idiot…" Vegeta mumbled. His clenched fists shook before him, occupying the air over Nappa's large chest. His vision became blurry. His eyes stung and his head felt fuzzy. In that moment the saiyan felt a rage unlike any he had over known.
Unwillingly the man thought back to when he had first become Nappa's ward at the age of 7. His own father had been too busy for him, so for most of the young prince's life, the general had stepped up and filled that role. And for all of his faults he did his duty to the best of his ability until the very end.
Not because he was obligated to due to orders or because he wanted something out of it. He truly cared for Vegeta and wished to see him succeed.
He was there when Vegeta graduated from the Frieza force and became an elite. He was there every time Vegeta had conquered a planet. He was there every time the prince had fucked up or fallen off the path of a warrior. When he began to doubt himself it was Nappa who picked him back up.
Patiently and kindly. He had always been there. "I'm no king…" Vegeta insisted. "If I had just!." He choked out, no longer bale to hold back the tears.
His shaking hands slowly found there way onto the large General's chest and Vegeta sobbed. "If I had only… GOD DAMN IT NAPPAAAAAAA!"
A bright luminous gold shot from Vegeta's eyes and mouth a moment before he was enveloped in a divine golden Ki that spiraled upward into the sky. The planet rumbled and shook with fear as the King of saiyans unleashed his wrath upon the universe. For a moment all of time froze and all that existed felt his pain. "Whyyyyyyyyaaaaaahhh!"....
Vegeta sucked in a deep breath and wiped his eyes. The others were staring at him in awe. By this point Bulma had given the limbless Raditz the Senzu. He would live.. But with only one good eye and no arms or legs, he would never fight again.
Vegeta looked over at Gohan who was crying harshly. "Daddyyyy noooo!" The boy cried, over and over. Each cry resonated with Vegeta's own pain, cutting through him like a knife. He grit his teeth and clenched his fist in fury. Frieza would pay.
Raditz, who was slumped over awkwardly by his brother, looked up at Vegeta with a half smirk half grimace. "You're badly wounded. Your power level is less than half of what it should be.. You can't fight them alone." Raditz said sternly.
"It will be more than enough for this." Vegeta responded, clenching his fists. The rubber of his gloves squealed under his mighty grasp.
"..He won't be alone." They heard the deep voice of Piccolo say as he floated from the sky. He looked sadly over at Gohan, who was being consoled by his mother. "I'm sorry." He said, turning back to the saiyans. "I should have come sooner. I have a clone helping the others with the remainder of the army."

"I could have just called them off.." Cooler sighed in the background, being ignored by everyone.
Raditz shook his head at Piccolo. "Its not your fault. It wouldn't have mattered.." He said honestly.
Cooler walked up to them. "I'm coming as well. Regardless of how you feel about me, I have my own stakes in this." The man insisted. Raditz and Piccolo seemed as if they were about to argue when Vegeta scoffed. "Nobody gives a fuck what you do, Cooler. Just stay out of my way." He ordered.
Cooler narrowed his eyes at the man. He and Vegeta had never really been enemies but they never got along well, either. One thing he was certain of though, was that he didn't like the intense golden Aura that Vegeta was exuding. "So it's actually true then.. You've finally done it. The legend..." He said cryptically.
Vegeta remained silent, his expression unreadable. "There's one more thing.." Piccolo began, catching the saiyan's attention. "I've spoken to Kami at great lengths. I have good news and bad news."
"Talk." Vegeta acknowledged.
"Funny how your voices sound so similar.." Cooler chimed in, scratching his chin.
"Shut up!"
"Shut up!"
The two yelled in unison. Piccolo shook his head in annoyance. "Anyways.. Long story short we only get one wish. Since Goku promised one to you, i'm giving it to you in good faith." He said causing Vegeta's eyes to widen. "However I must implore you.. please send everyone to Earth." He pleaded.
Vegeta blinked in shock for a few seconds and even Cooler looked at him like it was a dumb idea. Obviously Freiza would chase them down within a matter of days…
"Have you lost your damn mind?" Vegeta asked incredulously. Piccolo rolled his eyes, having expected such a response. "Listen.. Kami claims there are two people on Earth that are somehow capable of defeating Frieza. He says they're both as powerful as me, and with infinite energy to boot." The man explained quickly, earning shocked looks from everyone present.
"How the hell is that possible!?" Vegeta exclaimed in disbelief. With Gohan seemingly in a state of shell shock Bulma joined the discussion. "It's Gero isn't it. He finally completed the androids." She supplied. Piccolo merely nodded in response.
Vegeta looked at the woman with annoyance and a bit of surprise. "You knew about this? Machines more powerful than us? Did Kakrot know?" He demanded.
She shook her head no in response. "It was meant to be a surprise for when we got back.. or a deterrent if we didn't. The reason we didn't say anything is mostly because they weren't supposed to be done for another year and we didn't want Kakarot interfering honestly. He's too childish."
She giggled fondly, remembering her late husband before her face turned serious. "But I fear that if he's finished them already his health must have turned for the worst. He may not be alive when we get back. He and Kakarot were very close." She explained.
Vegeta sighed and flared his power. A tick mark appeared on his forehead. "I don't care about the health of some decrepit old man who liked to play with dolls! And Kakarot's opinion won't matter because he's dead! How are you fine with that?!" He yelled. Bulma flinched but didn't back down. She knew he was angry and hurting right now. She also knew he wouldn't hurt her.
"Vegeta.." she said softly, stepping closer. "The planet won't survive long and people are hurt. He loved you. You were his best friend. You understood him in a way no one did. He would want you to do what's right." She said.
Vegeta scoffed and looked away sharply, closing his eyes and furrowing his brow. With this kind of power plus immortality.. He could make Frieza and his father pay. He needn't even kill them. They were an incredibly resilient and durable species. He could cripple them and torture them for the next hundred years at least…
"Vegeta!"
His eyes widened and he was snapped from his thoughts. This power.. this anger.. he felt like he was a god. It was messing with his head. He looked into Bulma's pleading, bloodshot eyes. The planet shook. Piccolo created his second clone, which alongside Cooler, went off to Frieza and Cold.
Vegeta watched them fly away. Insects…
"People are hurt. Everyone will die." Bulma said softly. Vegeta looked at Piccolo who stared back unflinchingly. "What will it be, Vegeta?" The impossibly tall Namekian asked.
Vegeta smirked. "You already know I would never take the coward's way out.." He began, causing Piccolo to sigh and Bulma to gasp.
"... However, that doesn't mean everyone else here has to die with me." He said, shocking them both. "Send everyone home but me and those three lizard fucks, you got it? If I get stuck going back with you before I've had my revenge I'll blast you all myself!" He swore.
"Vegeta.." Piccolo began. "Are you sure?"
The saiyan looked at him and narrowed his eyes. "I've never done anything right in my entire life. Killing that bastard will be a good start." He chuckled. his expression softened a bit. "Tell me, Piccolo.. will I see that clown Kakarot in Otherworld?" He asked simply.
Bulma gasped at the implications of his words but Piccolo's expression remained stony. "I won't mince words. You said it yourself, you've never done anything right in your life. Your heart is too full of hatred and regret. Your soul will go to HFIL for at least a hundred years before you see otherworld." Piccolo admitted.
Vegeta sighed and nodded. "As I thought…" Then he smiled and looked at the Raditz, Bulma and Piccolo for one last time. "For Kakarot!" He yelled before rushing off in a blazing trail of golden energy.
There was silence for a few seconds save the constant rumbling of the planet and an occasional blast here and there. The skies were dark with smoke and soot. Most of the planet was bathed in red from lava or blood. Lightning danced between clouds of ash. Namek wouldn't last much longer.
Bulma looked at Piccolo. "I'll gather Turles's body. Its only right he come with us.. please contact Kami and make the wish." She requested. Piccolo nodded. "I agree. I'll keep watch over Dende. And I'm sorry." The Namekian said both to the woman and to Raditz, who nodded deftly in response.
Piccolo looked towards the direction Vegeta had flown off.
'Vegeta.. You never truly fought for anyone other than yourself, yet even by yourself you became so strong. You were an incredible warrior.. But one that ultimately nobody trusted to take a bullet for the team. Now, here, at the end of all things.. You're the last hope of all of humanity. Funny.. We were all wrong about you.. everyone accept.." The Namekian turned his head to look at the fallen saiyan from Earth.
"How do you always do it, Goku..?"
With the Arcrosians and Piccolo's second clone
The clone of Piccolo clashed hand and hand against the comically smaller form of the emperor, Frieza. Though he may have been short, standing at only half the Namekian's size, he was mighty. He began pushing the green man backward through the air until Piccolo (clone) yelled, "Kaio-Kenx2!" And his vicious red Aura doubled in size.
He managed to halt their movements and the two were in a stalemate once more, pushing back and forth with gritted teeth and grunts of effort.
Each of them knew they were burning through energy they couldn't spare. At this point it was just a matter of which one gave out first..
Meanwhile just a dozen yards away…
Cooler and his father clashed. Their knees struck one another only for the two of them to backflip in unison and charge at each other, meeting fist strike to fist strike once more. They produced shockwaves with each impact. King Cold looked at his son with those disapproving eyes that infuriated Cooler so much. It was the same look he gave him when Frieza was born.
Cooler growled at his father. "Give it up. You taught me everything you know!" Cold scoffed and swept Cooler's leg faster than the smaller warrior could react.
As he was falling his father spun around and roundhouse kicked the man away. "I taught you everything YOU know, boy. You still have much to learn before you're ready to take on your dear old dad." The Arcrosian said, clenching his fists. Then his face softened and for a moment his gaze seemed distant.
"Although I never expected my very own son to consort with his brother's enemies.. Family matters above all else. You know this." His father said sadly.
Cooler, who had created a crater in the ground with his body, stood up on shaky feet and spat in mock disgust before narrowing his eyes. "Ha! If family mattered to you evek the slightest, you never would have slaughtered our mother right in front for us."
The temperature dropped several degrees as Cold's face contorted into cold fury, no pun intended. However before the Arcrosian king could say anything he noticed his son had disappeared.
"Odd.." He mumbled, only to be met with a haymaker to the face from his rapidly transforming son. ".. And for your information, Dad. I haven't learned anything from you in over twenty years!" He roared uppercutting Cold away as his voice became deeper. His face mask slid into place and his eyes became crimson. "I am my own man now."
Frieza and Piccolo clone..
The clone of Piccolo launched barrage after barrage of Ki blasts to try and slow Frieza's destructive assault. Unfortunately, the tyrant's momentum only increased as he flew at the Namekian while encased in a bullet-like, pink energy.
He tackled the Namekian with a grunt and yelled, diving the man into the surface of the planet for nearly three miles before they crashed into a chamber of lava, where the Namekian was presumably swallowed whole. Frieza burst from the ground and a geyser of magma spewed forth from the hole he had left behind.
Panting, the Arcrosian wiped his brow of sweat. Not only was it extremely hot but he was running low on energy.
He bent his knees, preparing to intervene in his father and brother's fight when a familiar voice called out from behind him. "Hey Frieza!"
Gasping in shock Frieza spun quickly around only for eyes to widen in disbelief and instinctual terror. "V- Vegeta!?" He yelled. "What is this?" He demanded.
It was the siayan he knew but at the same time his wasn't. His hair was even more spikey and untamable than usual. Not only that but it was golden yellow and his entire body was bathed in the same distinctly colored aura. His eyes had become teal.
Perhaps the most discernible thing of all was that even though Frieza couldn't sense energy, he could feel the pressure of Vegeta's Ki.
"Wait!?" He gasped as realization dawned on him. "Could it be!? The l- legendary super saiyan?!" Frieza stammered. However, Much to his surpirse, Vegeta shook his head no.
"Not today, Frieza. Not right now. Today I fight not for me!" He announced, cutting his hand through the air. "Not for my own pride or ambition. I fight for every life that has ever been taken as a result of your actions! I fight for my people! I am… The King of all saiyans, Vegeta!" He roared, his powerful aura lighting the planet up like a star.
