Central city, with Recoome, Raditz and Piccolo.
Raditz's jaw dropped and he lost his concentration completely, his powerful Final Saturday dispersing harmlessly in the air. "That power..!?" He gasped. He knew without a doubt in his mind that the three battling saiyans had used an artificial moon to transform. "The damn fools will destroy the entire planet..!"
He couldn't believe they would be so reckless just for the sake of their pride. Then again, it wasn't long ago that he was no different. How many countless innocent lives had he needlessly taken..? His musings were cut short as the aftershock of Nappa's great ape empowered ability slammed into the central city, cracking windows and causing Raditz to shield his eyes.
"They're really.. going all out?" He muttered in contempt. They were going to get themselves and possibly everyone else killed. He starkly realized that he could also feel his brother fighting Captain Ginyu somewhere far off in the opposite direction of him and the dueling saiyans.
He was sure if he could sense things this plainly, then his brother must have certainly felt the other saiyans transforming.
Having never really felt the power of a transformed saiyan before, would his brother's inexperienced mind be able to piece together what had happened? Given how sharp his senses were.. probably.
He shook his head to refocus his thoughts. He had let himself get distracted for far too long. He needed to finish this quickly so he could run damage control here and then go help the others. Recoome had continued charging up his attack through all of this and by the look of things he was just about finished, Raditz guessed.
It was no matter as the saiyan was confident he still had plenty of time to charge up his ultimate move once more. He may not have been able to win out in a beam struggle between the two but he was confident he could cancel the brute's attack out at the very least. He raised his arms behind his head once more.. Suddenly he froze, stiffening as if he'd seen a ghost.
The man's eyes widened in surprise. "What the hell is this!? I can't move!" He yelled incredulously.
"Bahahaha!" Raditz heard from somewhere off to his left. With tremendous effort he was able to turn his head just enough to see Guildo levitating in the air and glowing a sickly green. "You..!" Raditz growled, narrowing his eyes.
"Oh yes.. me hehe." Guildo smirked in response.
Stolen novel; please report.
Raditz narrowed his eyes. "How did you survive that blast!?" He demanded. Guildo for his part shrugged. "Easy. It never hit me, fool. I simply stopped time and moved out of the way." He said with a lecherous grin.
Raditz's eyes widened and for a moment he didn't believe what he was being told. "What? Stopped time!? That's impossible!" The man yelled, thinking it was much more likely that this was some sort of trick. "If you had some kind of ability like that we would have known about it!" The psychically bound saiyan challenged.
Guildo chuckled. "Not likely, mut. Aside from my fellow Ginyu force teammates, only Lord Frieza himself knows about my time stop ability. Everyone else that has ever seen it is dead, nyahaha!" He laughed evilly.
"I call bullshit!" Raditz scoffed, cutting the sadistic, short man off. Guildo bristled and frowned. "Want to bet?" He snarled. He sucked in a breath.
A moment later Raditz gasped and screamed in pain, falling down to one knee as the other was suddenly pierced by a sharp laser of some type. Clutching his wound he winced and huffed. Thankfully the wound was cauterized by the heat of the laser so he didn't have to worry about bleeding out. His body was seized once more and looked up to see Guildo in the same position as before, having only just exhaled.
The older brother of Kakarot cursed himself for his carelessness. 'How could I let these idiots catch me off guard!?' He looked up at Recoome who was certainly only a few moments away from finishing his blast. There was no way he could take that attack head on without even powering up to raise a reasonable defense.
'I got cocky..' He looked at the ground and a look of regret crossed his features.
"Ahaha! You see? Or rather.. You didn't, did you?" He grinned. "But you know it was me." The alien taunted. "All I have to do is hold my breath and I'm free to move at my leisure while the rest of the universe is frozen in time ahahah… Eh!?"
The short bald alien was cut off, crying out in shock as a small spiraling beam of energy tore its way through his heart. He looked up to see a smirking Piccolo several meters away. "You talk too much. Plus your power level was weak so I didn't have to charge that special beam Cannon very long, you see." He said matter of factly.
Purple blood burst from Guildo's mouth and his eyes widened and shrank rapidly for several moments as the shock of the situation became too much for his mind to handle. He fell forward, landing with a thud, but he was dead long before he hit the ground.
"Guildoooo, Noooo! It's over for you bastards! You killed my whole team, now I'm gonna blow everyone in this entire city to pieces!" The last surviving member of the Ginyu force threatened as he finished charging his attack. He stomped forward and lowered his raised arms, looking like an Olympic runner bracing himself before the mark. He roared and a vibrant pink energy shot forth.
"Eraser Guuuuuun!"
Piccolo's eyes grew wide and veiny as he felt the indescribable pressure from the intense pink energy the brute fired. He was aiming right for the kneeling saiyan several yards in front of Piccolo. "If that attack hits.. Even Raditz will be.." Piccolo managed to kill Guildo so his paralysis was wearing off, but with the wound on his knee there was no way for the injured saiyan to get out of the way in time.
He thought back to how, it was the long haired saiayan's brother who had inadvertently been the cause of the green man's creation. He thought about how, despite all the harm and evil Piccolo had attempted to bring upon humanity, the saiyan raised on Earth took him in with open arms and trust. He didn't want to do all those wicked things his father had done.. He was just scared, lost and confused.
All Piccolo had ever really wanted.. was friends. Even though he couldn't see this, somehow his rival could.
Kakarot knew that by letting Gohan soften the man's heart and show him humanity's potential for compassion, that Piccolo would eventually form bonds with them all, and so he had. It may not have been the planet his species originated from but… At last he had found his home.
Before he even knew what happened Piccolo had teleported, his body moving on its own. The green humanoid looked over his shoulder at a bewildered Raditz and smirked. "Imagine how hurt the kid would be… If he lost his only uncle.." He turned to face the approaching ray of death and raised his arms. "Haaaaaaaaa!...."
*BOOOOM!*
