Humanity's resolve part 2

Humanity's resolve part 2

The five Z warriors moved as one, like cogs in a well oiled machine. Their teamwork and positioning was flawless as they formed a circle in mid air and began charging kamehameha's, all except for Tien and Chiaotzu who preferred their school's signature move, Dodon Ray instead.

Their collective Ki aura swelled up rapidly in the form of a bright blue with two tinges of yellow mixed within. The two Saiyans gasped in surprise. "What..!?" They uttered in shock and fright right before the two were swallowed by the massive amalgamation of energy.

There was a deafening explosion, the smell of smoke and something putrid filled the air. The Z fighters quickly put some distance between themselves and their opponents while the after effects of their combined assault faded.

The Z warriors couldn't help but tremble, all color draining from their faces (except Chiaotzou's?..) as the Two saiyans emerged from the smoke cloud with only cuts and bruises to show for the Z gangs collective efforts.

The brutish warriors were seething and angry, as the attack had clearly hurt. Effectively it was the equivalent of getting hit by a bus for the mighty warriors. "What in Vegeta's fucking name was that?!" One growled out. His buddy, seeming a bit more reserved but still clearly angry, narrowed his eyes. "We underestimated them and we very nearly paid the ultimate price. What a rookie mistake. Keep your guard up and let's finish this quickly." His partner nodded. "Right."

Over with the Z fighters Chi Chi broke the stunned silence of the dejected group. "K- Krillin. What do we do now? They look angry." She stammered. Nodding grimly Krillin breathed in a deep, shuddering breath. "Yeah I know.. this doesn't look good guys. I've got one last idea but.. I need you to buy me time."

Yamcha looked at him as if he'd grown a second head. "Buy you time..? Like how much? Going head to head against these guys is suicide." He muttered.

Krillin looked at him with apprehension. "I.. I don't know. I haven't perfected this technique yet. As much as you can give me." He said honestly. The group shared a collective look that reflected the severity of the situation but even still.. there was a spark of hope between the trusted life long friends.

Yamcha nodded. Slapping both of his cheeks at once several times to ignite his inner flame he narrowed his eyes and slipped into a stance. "Right. Then I'll take point with my most powerful attack. Tien and Chiaotzu, you cover me with your Dodons and Chi Chi.." He said turning to his lover. "You're the one I trust the most to have my back so you stay right behind me, ok?" He said with a flash of a smile. The woman in question nodded enthusiastically with tears in her eyes.

"Let's go guys! Wolf-Fang-Fist!" Yamcha roared as he rocketed forward at half the speed of mach 1. Krillin flew backwards and up several meters, raising on Epsom to the sky.

Meanwhile Tien and Chaotzou began gathering energy in the tips of their fingers and Chi chi road the slip stream of wind as her boyfriend flew through the air, allowing her to keep up with the slightly stronger man.

The saiyans took a battle stance and yelled as they powered up. The brasher of the two behemoths charged head on to meet the desert bandits assault. The other saiyan reached a hand out calling for his partner to wait. "No you idiot, we do this together!" He barked but it was too late as Yamcha arrived with his fully powered attack and met the first attacker head on.

Even with Yamcha's undeniable skills as a martial artist and the incredible potency of his strongest attack it was clear to anyone with eyes that as soon as they clashed the Z warrior would be pushing daisies..

At least he would have had they actually met head on. As it stood Chi Chi rose over Yamcha's shoulder and crossed her hands in front of her face. "Solar flare!" She yelled as the area was engulfed in a bright light that rivaled the intensity of the sun.

"Gahhh, you bitch!"" The massive ogre of a man yelled, clutching his eyes in pain.

"You don't talk to her that way!" Yamcha yelled as he began raining down a savage series of blows, each one containing the sharpness and ferocity of a wolf. Within thirty seconds the siayan was bruised and bloodied. Yamcha had every intention of continuing to rain down blows until he dropped from exhaustion, unfortunately the burly saiyan snapped an arm out and backhanded the man away before he could react.

A spray of blood spurted from his mouth as he was launched backwards, nearly unconscious. The Saiyan moved to capitalize on his advantage but he was showered by dozens of golden beams that scorched and bruised his skin. "Gah!.."

Chi Chi quickly flew her wounded boyfriend several meters back while he recovered but..

At this point the Saiyan’s ally came charging in like an unstoppable force of nature. "Haaaaah!" The large man yelled as he raised his Ki and gathered speed, forming a dome of energy around him.

Tien and Chiaotzu tried firing several more beams but the rampaging man charged right through the beams and plowed into the two crane school members. They yelled in pain as they were smashed away and the saiyan continued onward toward the wounded Yamcha and Chi Chi.

It seemed he was bound and determined to take out Yamcha who he may have assumed was the leader of the group due to their earlier formation and the fact that he had easily done the most damage so far not counting their combination attack.

"Get back here and die!" The goliath roared. As he drew near Chi Chi's demeanor became increasingly desperate. With a yell she grabbed her boyfriend and threw him as hard as she could out of the monster's path before rushing the monster directly. She had absolutely no clue what she was thinking. Truthfully she wasn't.

Fear and anger gripped her heart and she was beyond her senses at this point. "I am the daughter of the Ox King and I will not yield! Crimson Blazing Aura!" She yelled.

(Red blazing Aura in cannon)

A massive red energy surrounded Chi Chi and her Ki spiked upward. The saiyan smirked confidently and continued unabated. The two fighters met in an explosive shockwave of force.

"H-How?" The saiyan gasped, as he found himself to be dead even with the Ox princess. Chi chi glared daggers into the man's soul. "Right now my power level has been multiplied ten times over! I told you, I am the Ox King's daughter and someday I will be the queen of fire mountain. This is the full extent of my furrrrry!"

The other Z fighters shared a collective sweat dropped and made a mental note to never get on the woman's bedside as she single-handedly battled one of the ridiculously strong saiyans to a stand still. Shickwaves were produced with each of their attacks and the rest of the gang had a precious moment to recover. Unfortunately a moment was all they got as the other saiyan had made a recovery for the most part and was charging in to help his ally.

"Oh no you don't, come on Chiaotzu!" Tien yelled.

"Right!" The short psychic man answered.

The two flew at beyond their maximum speed in a desperate effort to help their close friend. At the same time Yamcha had more or less recovered and was preparing a spirit ball, cupping his right wrist with his left hand.

Chi Chi had her back turned to the who was currently charging her due to having all of her focus on the other who she was currently locked hands and struggling her hardest against. She was covered in sweat and looking pale. She couldn't use this form for very long. Usually a minute at the most.

Just as the saiyan reached her she sensed him. 'Crap!.. I can't get free in time!?' "Yamcha!"

A yellow orb of energy blanketed the rampaging saiyan mere moments before he crashed into the raven haired woman, halting his movements just long enough for Tien and his psychic companion to barrel into the freakishly large man sending them all careening toward the ruins below.

Yamcha's first instinct was to help his falling friends but he had to have faith that his friends could handle themselves for the moment because as it was Chi Chi wasn't going to last much longer one on one with the opponent before him. It may have been cowardly but this was no time for being a hero.

She was shaking like a leaf and clearly at her wits end. He cupped his hands at his sides and charged a Kamehameha before blindsiding his girlfriend's attacker.

The saiyan roared in agony as the skin of his back was charred and peeled away by the azure beam. Chi Chi used the man's momentary distraction to kick the large brute several dozen meters away amd let her Aura fizzle out. She swayed in the air and nearly fell before her boyfriend caught her. "Woah easy there.. I gotcha. You did so good. Leave the rest to us.." He said proudly.

She looked up at him with tired unfocused eyes. "I'm.. sorry. I don't think I'm going to be much help from here on out.." she whispered. He nodded and focused, preparing to give her just enough energy so that she would be able to fly to safety when suddenly she went limp. "Chi Chi!!!" He roared in confusion and terror. A moment later her body began to disappear.

"What..?" He mumbled, as the woman dissolved between his fingers. His eyes widened as it dawned on him that they were still in the time chamber. Amidst the fight for their 'lives' they had forgotten that none of their lives were ever actually in danger. That being said he really hoped Chi Chi hadn't pushed her mind too far as that was not so easily healed.

Breathing a sigh of relief he settled into a stance and prepared himself as the saiyan that Tien and Chiaotzu had been fighting came barreling upward with his hand in a vice-like grip around Tien's throat. The larger man's fingers made painfully visible trenches in his friend's flesh.

Not giving it a second thought he charged at the duo, closed fists outstretched before him superman style as he flew as fast as he could. Chiaotzu was out of sight for the moment but a purple energy gripped the large saiyan attempting to strangle the life out of the three eyed human indicating that he was attacking the man with his telekinetic abilities.

The saiyan’s eyes narrowed as he was once again gripped by the tiny paper white human's power. 'Persistent pest!..' Still as impressive as the dwarf person's ability was, the saiyan was simply too strong. He continued to squeeze the life out of Tien albeit with a lot less pressure, allowing the triclops to kick the saiyan in the gut repeatedly causing him to wince with each blow.

The martial artist from Earth was beginning to lose consciousness, his face turning purple when just in the nick of time Yamacha kneed the large beast of man holding him hostage in the face. This forced the saiyan to let go just enough for Tien to fly back a bit and gasp for precious air.

He pointed eyes wide in terror but unable to scream out a warning as the saiyan from before struck Yamcha from behind with a vicious Ki blast that sent his smoldering remains tumbling below. Tien's face morphed into a look of savage anger but this quickly gave way to confusion as Chiaotzu appeared imposing himself between his dearest friend and the two warriors of the past.

He was badly damaged and it was clear he was out of energy. He briefly looked back over his shoulder at his friend, a tear in his eye. "I'm sorry Tien.. This is all I can do now." He turned back and lunged at the warriors. One of them lasted out with a quick jab but just before the fist made contact the small man began to shine with a bright luminescence. The two

saiyans frowned as they realized their mistake but it was too late…

Tien yelled as he watched his companion explode right in front of him. Tears stained his face. As the smoke cleared the two saiyans were left coughing and heavily damaged but still very much alive. Roaring Tien channeled all of his remaining life force into a single blast. He created a triangle with his hands. 'If it's not with Chiaotzu, my best friend, then I don't want to live this life!' There was a bright flash of yellow as he launched his attack. "Tri-Beam-Haaaa!"

His world faded to black, but not before he had time to see the effects of his final attack. One of the men had lost an arm and both were coughing up fistfuls of blood but…

'Chiaotzu.. everyone.. I couldn't win…' He thought before his body fell to the city below.

The two heavily wounded saiyans drifted through the air with looks of great bewilderment. "How is it brother… those weaklings did all this.. to us?" One of them asked. He looked at his ally and his eyes widened in shock. "We'll have to put a tourniquet on that arm or else.." He began.

"Ahh shut up! I'm fine. Don't forget there's still one more of those sons of bitches around here…" He said with a dismissive wave of his remaining arm. Clearly the man was anything but, however, as he was turning sheet white from blood loss. He continued on, paying no heed to his injuries. "How cowardly to run away while all of your friends get slau-..."

The saiyan was cut off as a razor-sharp disk of energy burst through the man in a spray of blood. "Gaaahk!?!" Blood filled his throat leaving him unable to do little more than choke on the red substance.

The saiyans spun around in abject terror as they saw the remaining Z warrior hovering several meters above them. He had tears streaking down each side of his face and nearly a dozen more golden disks hovering all around him. The saiyan which had not received near as much damage as it's ally and hence was not on the brink of death began charging a blast of Ki in his hand. It was all the other saiyan could do to remain airborne.

"Why you!.. We are siayans! You'll pay for your impudence!" He roared. He launched his ball of energy with reckless abandon, fully expecting it to end the lone monk's life.

"You're right… I was a coward." Krillin said as he disappeared and reappeared only a few feet from the two alien warriors. Their eyes widened as Krillin pulled back both of his arms, disks of energy moving with him as if they were his puppets.

"And as a consequence I had to watch you slaughter all of my friends! But now I finally understand the lesson we came here to learn. Now we know what's at stake.. And now we know that with teamwork.. Even if it costs our lives.. We can win!" He threw his arms forward as he spoke his defiance to the world.

The saiyans had no chance of dodging or blocking the short, bald man's ultimate attack. They were shredded to pieces in a shower of gore and blood, their screams of pain, anger and fear dying in the wind as the world around Krillin faded away.

As he materialized back in the HTC at Kami's lookout he looked around and saw his friends, looking every bit as mortified and traumatized as he himself most certainly did. He stared absently down at his trembling hands. 'I… Have no choice. I have to get stronger.'

Kami ambled forward until he was roughly in the middle of the group. With a sigh he addressed them, "I am sorry.. But now you know what you are all up against and moreover, you know what you are capable of when you work together. I believe in you. This, of course, was only a test. The real training begins now.
