Gohan looked down at his bound wrists. They were held tightly together by an object similar to a pillory but just for the wrists. It was made of some type of smooth, shiny metal that was a dark silver in color. "Grrrrg!" Gohan strained against the cuff but it was no use. The alien that had kidnapped him had said something about the metal naturally suppressing Ki energy.
He sighed and looked out of the window of the ship he was on. All across the planet battles waged and he couldn't help but feel them all with his acute senses. He was extremely talented in the ways of Ki control; he was raised around the Earth's greatest warriors, after all. He took in a deep breath and closed his eyes, expanding his awareness as he focused. He felt the battle between Turles and the big saiyan Nappa.
Gohan had thought the big, brutish saiyan was terrifying at first. The man was always snarling and mean muggin everyone. But every once in a while Gohan had caught glimpses of a small smirk or smile when the eldest of the saiyans would joke or tease the boy.
Not only that but the son of Kakarot couldn't help but notice how much the large saiyan catered to Vegeta, always praising him and trying not to upset the man. At first he thought it was fear but Gohan was a very smart and perceptive individual. He realized that Nappa never acted this way around any of the other saiyans, not even his father, even though Kakarot was surely stronger.
It seemed to little Gohan that any time there were other saiyans around the prince, his right hand man was quick to pick fights and push people away. Gohan could only come to one conclusion.. Nappa's purpose was always protecting the prince. And not just Vegeta, but all of them, by virtue of preventing problems before they could even arise. In many ways he was like the grumpy grandfather of the group, keeping them safe with his wisdom and harsh ways even though it may not appear that way on the surface.
'Please be OK, Mr. Nappa…' He whispered internally before turning over to the next battle he sensed. His friends were losing.. badly. 'Kriilin, Chiaotzu, Yamaha, Tien.. Mr. Piccolo..!' He cried out within his mind, mouth agape. Fortunately a moment later he was able to breathe a sigh of relief as he felt his father's childhood friend Chi Chi using her amazing powers that always left Gihan fascinated.
'With her, I know they can win!' He thought with confidence. Plus he could feel his uncle en route to their position so they would be fine.
Next he turned his attention to where he felt his father's Ki, less than a mile away from his position. He clenched his little fists. He couldn't really tell who was winning this particular fight. Even though Ginyu's power was higher, his father's was staying steady and strong which was a good sign. If he had to guess they were more or less even. It bothered him that he couldn't sense his mother's energy..
During all the confusion of Ginyu's first strike the two of them got split up and he wasn't sure what happened to her. Had she been captured too? His uncertainty was giving way to desperation. He balled his tiny fists and grunted, trying again to break free of his restraints. 'I can't be the only one.. not fighting!' He complained internally.
The cuffs groaned and creaked.
"Come oooon!" He yelled. The air around him began to shimmer and shake before all at once his strength gave out and he stopped struggling. He fell to his knees huffing and puffing. 'Almost..!' He felt so weak with these damn things on… Suddenly his eyes widened and he looked up from his kneeling position. "Wh.. What is that!?.." He gasped in awe and curiosity. "Such power.. If I had that.."
A few moments later he was caught off guard yet again, sucking in a breath and turning his head sharply to the right. "Mom!" At last he felt her energy, and it was stronger than ever before! She was flying towards his father and Ginyu.

Feeling the power of the transformed saiyans was hard to describe for the boy. It was almost like an intense pressure in the gut similar to what one gets when experiencing anxiety or a general uneasiness. Accompanied by that was a sort of mental sensitivity, like a warm throbbing sensation the intensity of which was based on the magnitude and nature of the power.
Each individual's Ki signature was unique and thus, felt inherently different. "I'm a saiyan too!" The boy yelled with resolve. "And I also have the potential to be that powerful, because I'm my father's son, haaaaaah!" As he spoke he began struggling harder and harder to free himself from his constraints.
He felt his parents engaging in battle with Ginyu. He didn't want to be weak and helpless anymore. He wanted to be strong like the other saiyans were..! He wanted that indescribable power he felt as the battle between Nappa and Turles continued on. Rage, desperation and gluttonous greed flooded the boy's mind until all he saw was red… The metal screeched, twisting and warping as he pried himself free of its cold, lifeless grasp.
"Haaaah!"
*Claaaang!*
With a grunt he tossed the metal aside and growled. Dark lines covered his eyes which had become a blood red and his canines had grown, giving him an inhuman appearance. a black and silver Ki aura blanketed him and caused his long spiky hair to flail wildly behind him.
Occasionally, red bio-electricity danced across his energy. "Heeeeh…" He breathed, a wispy red smoke curled lazily from his mouth. In that moment he looked more like a demon than a child.
With a roar he rocketed forward, shattering the ship's 'blast proof' window with ease. He levitated in the sky for a few moments, sniffing the air before he turned and flew off in the direction where he sensed his parents' Ki.
With Kakarot and Co…
Kakarot slid forward and threw multiple jabs in a single second, all of which captian Ginyu skilfully blocked or dodged.
Putting their teamwork to good use, Bulma followed up on her husband's jabs with a series of kicks giving Kakarot just enough time to lean back slightly and launch himself forward in another flurry of relentless blows.
Ginyu's eyes widened, a look of extreme effort and mounting panic covering his face as more blows slipped through his defense. He managed to jump back and create some distance between him and the fearsome husband/wife combo.
"Their movements are in complete harmony, their synchronization flawless." Ginyu huffed, trying to regain his breath. "I may have to use that already…"
Suddenly his scooter activated automatically as it felt a massive power level in the immediate vicinity.
Beep Beep boop boop beeeep!
"What!?.. Now who the hell could this be?" He grumbled as the device on his head suddenly registered a power reading of 75 thousand closing the distance between them rapidly. A moment later the animalistic, ominous form of Gohan landed with a crash, sending up a cloud of dust. "Was that…" Ginyu began.
"Gohan!?" Across from him Kakarot screamed out in concern as his son landed on the other side of Ginyu. He was sure if he tried to rush to the boy's aid, this monster would capitalize on his lack of focus and then not only he but also his wife and now son would suffer the consequences. All the fear running rampant in Kakarot's mind gave way to stunned disbelief as a massive gust of power blew away all the dust. The reason for his shock was because the power had originated from Gohan.
"Gohan.. not again.. He's lost control. And this time his power level is almost as high as mine is." He said with concern and wariness. Bulma for her part placed a hand to her mouth and looked back and forth between her husband and son. "Kakarot what.. are you saying? Do you know something about this? What the hell did that freak do to our son!?""
The siaayn in question gave his wife a quizzical look before it dawned on him that she had been unconscious during Gohan's first episode and he had neglected to bring it up since then because of how busy he'd been.. He honestly completely forgot. He sighed and gave his wife a sad smile.
"I'm sorry I forgot to tell you Bulma.. There's just been so much on my plate.." He trailed off. Bulma for her part wasn't having it. She frowned at the man and said in a stern voice. "Don't you dare beat around the bush Son Goku! What haven't you been telling me about our son?" She demanded.
Kakarot raised his hands in defense, eyes wide as he felt true fear for the first time today. He didnt care what anyone said, his wife was the scariest being in the universe when she was mad. "Now hold on, it isn't like that! I would have told you I just didn't feel a need. It only happened that one time.. Anyways Ginyu didn't do anything. This is all Gohan. There's a darkness within him he hasn't learned how to control yet.. Last time I had to knock him out to get him not to destroy the ship"
Bulma gasped in a sudden and horrid realization. Her hand flew to her mouth once more, tears glistening in her eyes. She distinctly remembered stumbling off to her room not long after having woken up on the science lab floor. The worst of her forced evolution had been over but she had been utterly exhausted at that point.
When she saw all the strange claw marks and dents in their torn up bedroom, Bulma had just assumed her idiot husband had gotten into a scrap with one of the other siayans.. Now it all made sense..
"Oh my poor baby boy.. I should have been there for you.. I'm so sorry, Gohan."
