Never, I repeat NEVER make my mom mad.  If I thought my dad was a top dog, I knew nothing at all, or that he has no interest in being the top one in the family.  Anyways, it happened the day after Kylie and Rose left.  Ellie and I were heading to the marketplace to look around because the mansion is boring if you stay there for too long.

As my entourage was heading to a food stall that sold skewers deer meat.  Ellie suddenly became defensive and pulled me behind her while she retrieved a sword from what I would consider a spatial pocket dimension.  

"Ellie, what are you doing?"

"Ally, please just stay behind me and try to stay out of way."

"What's happening Ellie?"

Ellie called to the three guards that usually follow me on my outings, "Surround Ally, don't drop your guard!!!"

Right as she shouted, a person in a black slim fitting costume appeared and launched an attack on us.  They looked like assassins from a movie, so let's go with that.  The assassin made a dash for me as he wielded flames as a sword.  Ellie coated her sword in wind mana and defended against the fire formed sword.  The clash resulted in a stalemate as eight more assassins came from the sides being protected by the guards.  

As they attacked in coordination, three of the attackers fired fire arrows while two were using wind scythes.  Two of the assassins were using swords formed from earth mana while the last one was using a war hammer.  The first volley of arrows caught the armor of the guards, but an arrow spun, and tore through the right guard's armor and left out the back.  It was the first time in this lifetime I saw this level of fighting and I was just frozen.  The pendant activated, forming a sphere around and shielding me whilst my attention was on the fight.  

After the arrow ripped through the guard a warrior that was using a scythe darted after him since my guard just took damage.  It also seems that I was their target because they all went through the weakened guard rather than face the other ones.  

The fire arrows flew at the other two guards continuously while Ellie was in a deadlock with the lead assassin.  This left the weakened guard to defend against five assassins; it was lucky that he lasted the hits by the two wind scythes.  But right after the scythe wielders left, another black clothed man attacked in a blind spot by the war hammer.

The figure of the guard's head splattering as the war hammer crashed down on his temple engraved itself into my mind for eternity.  It took at most ten seconds as these events transpired when a vortex formed by my side.  My mind felt traumatized by the death when my mom appeared through the vortex.

The assassins were charging for me like they were on a time limit, but I wasn't paying much attention to that because of my shock.  That didn't stop the assassins from becoming recognizing that their time limit was up and they tried to scramble away.

She looked at me and saw my face contorted in anguish. After mom saw my face she succumbed to anger and released a water python at the eight assassins that were battling against the guards and the water python swallowed them.  Mom is at a level where they couldn't even put up a fight against them.

After the water python engulfed the kidnappers, mom decided to suffocate them to death inside of the water python.  They attempted to escape, but even the fire users only received a bubble out of the water python, the wind users couldn't even struggle.  Only the war hammer assassin decided that it was better just to commit suicide as he pulled out cyanide pill and swallowed it.  

As mom finished up these people Ellie was struggling to keep her opponent from fleeing, but she visibly relaxed when mom arrived by her side.

"Ellie, take a break and head back to Ally's side."

"Thank you madam, if it wasn't for your spatial print we wouldn't have held out long enough to keep Ellie from being taken."

"Go, I wouldn't have let Ally go out if I didn't have many fail safes in place."

"I wish that they wouldn't have gotten word that she was a chaos child."

She calmed down and calmly stated, "I will capture their leader now for interrogation."

Ellie headed back and tried consoling me.

"Ally, everything is over. *silence* Ally, please speak to me *silence* Ally, please answer me and stop watching your mom kill people. *silence*"

As mom said, she used what seemed to be a variant of the water snake to tie up the lead assassin's arms and legs.  Mom must be intimidating because the lead assassin couldn't even put up a fight either.

As mom grabbed him, she threw the assassin into a spatial void she created and came back to Ellie and me.  Ellie was trying to tell me it was all right, and that this happens, but I filtered out her words because the moment that my guard died imprinted in my brain.  Don't get me wrong, as a biology major I dissected the human body, but it isn't near as traumatizing as watching someone's head implode from a war hammer.

Mom rushed toward me.  She grabbed and held me tightly.

"Don't worry Ally, just relax, everything will be ok."

As she finished talking, I felt the strength leave my body as I drifted into sleep in my mom's embrace from being overly stressed.

Unknown person's perspective

Well, that was a waste of money; they couldn't even grab a child who isn't even seven years old.  Well, I should have expected her mother would place a spatial print on her in case she gets in trouble, but that only would work if she stays in town because the spatial dimension is stable there.

If they could've just done this within those ten seconds, destroying the mark is easy if it takes a direct burst of magic.  That prolongs our plans for now, we will now wait quite awhile before their guard is sufficiently down for another attempt.  

Chaos children all developed personalities that conflict with most of the population, unique to almost a fault. Their destiny has no attachments to this world and therefore can alter it in a way that isn't entirely known.  The last chaos child when left to his lonesome decidedly destroyed two kingdoms, the church of darkness, and the church of wind.  It has become common knowledge that if another one pops up, there will be an extremely high bounty placed on them to gain them as a pawn.  

It is helpful that only the top of the governments and churches have information on this because if the rebel factions knew, all plans would fall to pieces.  Even if this empire keeps her, it shouldn't be too bad for us because of their predisposition to peace.  But we need to keep ourselves in the shadows because if we appear in public, we will cause a panic.

Maybe, in the future we can just ask for her help as long as she doesn't know who we are.
