I’m woken up the day after school by the little fairy Tina.  Her green eyes, green wings and matching green dress make her look adorable.  I wonder if she wears the same dress every day.  Anyways, for a while now she will communicate with me in runes and teach me how they work.  I would liken it to miniature videos to describe what happens using mana.  I find it interesting because it seems to be a good exercise for mana manipulation, but doesn't trigger any magic.  

She also taught me how to make a familiar contract, but I won't able to use it until the moment my magic isn't restricted.  Anyways, considering I can manipulate mana, but not use it is interesting.  I put a considerable amount of it into my core every day as well.  Anyways, my parents have never tried to find out my status, so I have that going for me.

Ellie came in to get me out of my pajamas and into my clothes for the day.  Before I knew it, Tina disappeared.  I especially need to ask her about how she does that.  

She asks, "What clothes did you want to wear today?"

"I'm not sure, can I wear pants?"

"Only if you are going to the garden again today."

"Then yes.  I want to wear pants, I just want to relax today."

I didn't tell her I want to find my dad today.  His work is fun to see, but I can only observe when he is off in his own world because he will either have me leave or stop his work to come play with me.

As Ellie helped me change into my clothes for the day, I contemplate about whether I should continue building the underground fort or leave it as is.  It is where I keep the plants I am taking care of.  The only reason I can construct it is because Tina helps me sometimes.  She uses wind magic to cut the earth and carry out the excess.  As of right now it is a fairly large greenhouse that is underground.  

Ok, now to wait for Ellie to lessen her guard so I can disappear for a while.

"Ellie, can I be free for a while?"

"Is there somewhere you want to go mistress?"

"No, I just wanted to explore and see what is around without a guide, getting lost is sometimes more fun that staying on course."

"Only until the tutor gets here, which should be after lunch time.  So please be at the dinning room later."

"I will, have fun Ellie."

As I ran out of the room, I headed straight to my hideaway in the garden.  The flowers I have in here are interesting, but I think they changed when I pushed some of the mana into them.  There is a few bright yellow vines like flowers that glow in the dark and get brighter depending on how much mana I fed to them.  I use them as lights here.  Nobody has discovered this place mostly because it is in the back corner of the garden and has a trapdoor that makes it seem like it is dirt.

Tina brought my favorite flower as a gift for when we finished this place, a couple weeks ago.  It is a rainbow flower that has a different color on each petal and its petals can absorb mana.  It was the reason I tried feeding mana into the other flowers, and I guess I created magic flowers.  These flowers also seem to absorb mana by themselves after I force it into them.

After I fed all of my plants water and mana, I will find my father.  He should be in the east wing so I will try to find him.  

I crept by all the maids and guards occupying the hall.  Oh, there he is, I wonder if I can surprise him by coming around today.

I jumped out into his office and yelled "Hi Dad!!!"

I chuckled since I successfully startled him, but he recovered quickly and put away the stern gaze he was using to look at the papers.

"Ally, you shouldn't do that.  You gave me a scare."

"But it is so fun to mess with you dad."

He muttered under his breath "I'm a top tier warrior and mage and I can't even sense my daughter sneaking up on me."

He smiled at me and asked, "Do you want something, daughter?"

"Yea, I was wondering if you could tell be about magical plants."

"Well, magical plants use is to help a mage understand mana, and they’re used in potions to help with status ailments, health, or mana.  There are also different ranks of magic plants, but if they interest you I have a book that could help you when you learn to read," he said as he smiled.

"Dad can you come with me to meet my tutor?"

I smiled brightly at him.

"Yes I can, but only after I finish this report."

"Thank you, daddy!"

I waited for a little while as he finished up and we headed to the dining room.  Since it was about lunchtime, I caught up with Ellie and mother who were both there.  I love my small family; it is different getting the love of parents compared to grandparents.  I can't explain it well, but it feels like my grandparents would view me and think about my parents who passed away.

Well, as we said grace to the spirits, we ate the food.  I can never tell what the meat is from because it is from monsters caught for the day and seem to have names I can't identify.  After the meal, Ellie, dad, mom, and I went to see the tutor who seemed to sweat.  I wonder if it is from the atmosphere of father. He has this effect on a lot of the guards.

Anyways, the tutor is a man who seems to be around 17, a year younger than Ellie.  He has purple hair and seems to be of the demon race like me.  His yellow slitted eyes are like a lizard's eyes, which is new.  My dad questioned him about what he would teach me, I kind of just filtered out the conversation.

Even though he was very nervous, he gave answers that seemed to satisfy dad and mom.  Truthfully, I still do not understand what is common sense in this world, so I don't know what my responsibilities are.

Well, I guess that is all for today because Mr. Tutor is leaving now.  He said he would come back tomorrow around the same time to teach the basics of reading and writing.  

"Bye Mr. Tutor."

"Bye Miss Alexandra, my name is Trevor Anglewood or just call me Trevor it would be better."

"Ok, bye Trevor" I said with a smile.

Now that this escapade is over I wonder what I will do.  Wait, there is nothing to do.  I can't read yet so I guess I will ask Ellie to read me some stories.  She is better than using the "system" to look at what all the items in the mansion are.  Oh yea, I always wear the pendant I got back when I was one now.  It is awesome, and it also absorbs the mana I feed it.  I wonder if I could increase its rank because it seems to have three level 4-monster cores.

The day soon came to an end and I hope that these next few weeks are helpful in my quest for information because when I am able read, I will learn more by myself.  Soon after that I will be able to use magic.  Then I will have more fun with this experience of being reborn.
