In a world permeated with the stench of death, and portals hovering with memories of the past, a conversation was taking place between gods.
A rather agitated, but friendly masculine voice started the conversation, "Thana, you know that she can't control the power you gave her."
The sad voice of Thana replied, "Well, you also know that there is nothing I can do to help her. Samael, did you at least convince her not to interfere? She has absolutely no affinity with death."
(I named the chaos god "Samael" because of the backstory I read. This is the backstory and I think it fits for chaos: According to Jewish myth, Samael, better known as the Grim Reaper, is a fallen angel. He is the chief seducer, accuser, and destroyer. Samael is also called the chief of the Dragons of Evil and Prince of Darkness. Samael is both kind and cruel and was once a heavenly host. He lorded over ‘Sheba Ha-yechaloth’, or the seven habitations. His sphere of influence extends to the infernal realm as well. He is also referred to the serpent who tempted Eve to eat the forbidden fruit.)
Samael muttered, "To be honest, I'm not entirely sure she will leave it alone, but even if she has no affinity, she can probably help. You know as well as I do that she is an oddity. I showed her how her life affects others. To be honest, even I can't know what she will do."
Thana responded with exasperation, "You are too soft on her Samael. Why can't you just be blunt?"
Samael bluntly responded, "Can you really say I'm soft? Anyway, She is my chosen if I'm not soft on her, then who can I be soft on?"
She sighed before saying, "Take an example from the light and dark gods, they use their chosen as tools and pretty much send them to face their death in the name of 'glory'."
"If I was like them, I wouldn't have set the world aflame and then sent it back to its peak so many times. Whether good or evil, I am not either, but I can still be myself and I want to annoy her rather than send her to do any bidding."
After Samael finished speaking, he disappeared and Thana just shook her head muttering to herself, "You help and destroy on a whim so why are you helping if you don't want to do it..." She picked up a journal about the past, read it and started to wonder what Samael is going to do now.

Thora, Year 2 of Fate
The world has descended into hell; flames from the earth are escaping from the ground. The sky is constantly covered in dark black clouds with lightning constantly striking the ground. The god of light has stopped communicating with us and the god of darkness has also disappeared from what I heard. The beasts of the wilderness have devoured my town and everyone has flooded into the largest cities for some sort of security.
I'm not sure what happened to me, but I am now stuck in the middle of the land of death. I feel compelled to write something because this will most likely become my final resting place. If someone finds this, it means that the world has not ended, so I will hope you will never witness the tragedies of eras gone. Since I lost my wife, my children, and my parents there is no reason for me to live anyway. If you are able to deal with the god of chaos you can save the world or destroy the world, but there is no one who has gained his favor.

Hopefully, this information will help you in your era because in this era our lack of information it leads to our death. The one who controls this world is not the gods or their intentions, it is something even more powerful and unfeeling. It is fate, and fate has personified itself and decided to take control of the world. I'm not sure why, but only the chosen of chaos had any effect on it. It was our wrong to kill them all off, we didn't even know our wrong until it was too late. We always thought chaos was evil, but we didn't know that chaos has no intuitive trait. This is what kept fate from taking control of the world and is the reason to keep the chosen of chaos alive. I beg you, just keep them alive.

(POV: Ally's mom)
There is almost nothing I can do right now but confine Ally to her room. If I let her out she would just end up hurting herself or worse than that, throw away her life. She is kind usually, but I know her thoughts, she would throw away her life for a friend or family member in a heartbeat. I'm not sure why, but she places almost no emphasis on her life. Even when she could have died from the influx of mana or from the mana bomb, she placed no importance on herself.
The problem with Kylie's physique right now is that the death magic is surrounding her and devouring the magic of others into her while she is unconscious. If I know what Ally would do, it would be to sacrifice all of her magic to satisfy the death magic and wake up Kylie. I can't allow that because it puts my sweet daughter on the verge of death again.
I hope Ally doesn't blame me for this, but she will stay confined until Kylie's situation is either resolved or we run out of options. What we really need is either a death magic user or a sealing expert... we have neither...
It is sufficient that Kylie's death magic isn't forming anything other than a protective layer around her because if it expanded we would have had to isolate her away from humans, give her to the death church or kill her. Before I could finish my thinking Ellie had appeared and reported, "Madam, Ally's gone into the King's rock."
I guess that the fact that she didn't attempt to escape at least means she understands the situation if only a little bit. I gave her instructions, "Just keep a look out for what she does, and remember to have food on standby. She is probably going to forget time again and you can't enter the King's rock."
Ellie disappeared after she saw that I didn't have anything left to say. She is such a good child; I really hope that stops blaming herself for what has happened to Ally. At this point, I don't even know how hard she has tried to keep Ally out of trouble. I know there is only so much she can do because Ally is far too reckless.

(POV: Alexandra Embers)
I came to a decision, a decision to understand the binding of the King's rock. Since it is able to bind the mana into itself, it may have an answer to how to bind Kylie's mana. Even if it doesn't, it will be helpful in the long run. I haven't been inside the King's rock before so it was rather surprising, it was filled with another world. A long running stream surrounded on both sides by blooming flowers and small animals. It seems that there are mountains in the distance, but what should be the most useful to me was the cave the stream was flowing out of.
The cave was rather barren for being so close to a rather splendid ecosystem, but as entered, I found a rather large barrier containing the mana that was used to create this world/plain/place. So that’s why there are no animals in this area, it keeps them away.
Ok, so now is the time to put my enchanting progress to the test. To make a self-containing barrier of this power is a test I need to do. I’m not sure how long it will take, but hopefully, a vacuum force overlapping with a solid pane of mana will be enough. As simple as that sounds, I have no idea how to perform this task. I wonder if it will require using more than one type of mana to create this, or if it would be possible to set a barrier that will react to death mana.
