Before I left, Ellie grabbed me and stripped me of my clothes.  It was so sudden I couldn't ask why and just stood there. I was waiting and blushing with embarrassment.  Ellie then said, "Mistress, you haven't bathed in more than a day and you had a fever."

She gestured to the bathroom and said, "You need to take a bath."

Tina was watching from the side with interest and laughed uncontrollably.

Before I could answer, Ellie pushed me into the bathroom and forced me to take a bath.  This was probably how Tina felt when Ellie forcibly changed her clothes a bit ago.  I heard Ellie complaining to herself more than once while I was bathing about, "She always does this.  Why doesn't she prioritize her body?  I need to be more strict." or other lines around the same meaning.

I kept quiet because I knew those are all habits I picked up in my previous life and I listened to Ellie complain about them before.  It came from the irregular life I lived from childhood and the habits I picked up from college.  

I was used to bathing when I needed to, eating when I was hungry, and doing research and homework for most of the other times.  Ellie has got me to eat on a schedule and I have figured out how to fill my free time, but I can't grasp my body’s needs yet.  This will be a big problem when puberty hits, I hope I will be better when that happens.

After the bath, Ellie dressed me up in a black dress.  She continued to say, "You know why your wardrobe has so many black clothes?"

"No, why?"

"Because it is the one color that seems to match you.  Your mom and me have tested most of the other colors and black fits you the best.  Truthfully, I think it is because you are a chaos child."

"What does chaos have to do with black?"

"If order is white, chaos would be the black of the spectrum."

"That makes sense, but is that the reason you always try to give me the headband?"

"Nope, personal preference, and you don't get to choose."

I was at a loss of words.

We left my room.  I would go to mom first, but Ellie simply ushered me to the dining hall.  I guess I need to be more conscious of when I obsess over certain things since magic will be one of them.  After I ate some delightful food, we left.  I found mom right away; she was talking to the head maid about something.  When she saw me coming with Tina and Ellie in tow; she had the head maid leave. As the head maid took her leave I caught that she looked at Tina with pity directed toward her.  I wonder what that was about.

"Mom, can you teach me magic?"

"Ally, why do you want to start today?  You just got out of your coma."

"Well, I feel full of energy now and Ellie already said I could if I wanted to."

As my mom looked at Ellie, Ellie responded, "Mistress, you may be confusing something.  I never said that."

"Oh, so I just wanted to learn magic, that sounds right. Mom, please?"

I shot her my most adorable smile I could muster as I dragged out the 's'.

It only took a couple of seconds before she succumbed to my pleading.

"Ally, why don't we go to the magic training room?"

As she turned around and walked, I cheerily said, "Yes"

"So, Ally considering you can only use magic starting today I will teach you how to ignite magic.  Ok, now look at my palm carefully."

She condensed her magical power in her hand until it gradually gained a tint of a color.  After about thirty seconds there was a glob of water floating above her hand.  She must have been doing it slowly for me to see the changes.

As she stopped, I attempted to do it myself, I first grasped the magic power in my magic pool and drew it out.  I tried to attune it to a singular element.  As I was trying to make it into water, I lost concentration and the magic power dispersed.

"Ally, that happens all the time to people new to their powers, but you should be proud of your ability to gather the magic power into your hand."

"Mom, why are you saying it like I don't have any more left."

"Well, most children don't have enough magic power to do a second attempt after a failure so it will take them quite a while before they are able to gain a beginner level 1 magic."

"Oh yea... um... mom.... after what happened I kind of gained a lot of magic power."

"How much sweetie?"

"Well it is now 20,000."

I said this quietly because it was a lot, and I was right because she had an astonished expression, if only for a moment.  She then thought a little and once it seemed she finished I asked, "What are you thinking about mom?"

"Well, considering you have 20 times the magic power of demons that just unlocked it, we may have to re-evaluate what to do with your training.  As for today, just try it until you run out of magic power.  It takes a normal demon a month to get the skill if they are lucky so we have a little while for this step."

As I tried numerous times, I ran out of magic power before I was able to construct water magic.  I felt close on the last one though so I may be able to get it tomorrow.  Mom and Ellie just looked at me with an awkward expression while Tina was laughing.  I looked down and saw that because my magic power was so close to being completely turned to water, it fell onto my dress when I failed.

"Ellie, please take Ally to take a bath, and get some dinner delivered to her room.  Also, Ally good work, but you may want to pay attention to your surrounds more."

I laughed bitterly to myself and sighed while thinking 'old habits die hard'.

As everything proceeded as mom ordered I went back to my room and took a bath.  This time Ellie told me, "Mistress, what are you going to do with yourself when you are alone?”

I responded with a grin, "What else would I do, other than something that would make you mad."

She gave me an exasperated sigh and left it at that.  After the bath I played with Misty, and what I find most amusing about Misty is that she changes her size sometimes to a smaller version.  I think it is a skill she has little control over and needs to practice.  Anyways, as I jumped up into my bed and Misty curled up beside me.  I pulled out a book and read about some more of the plants that I could get in my garden.

I still don't know where Tina disappears to everyday, it would be a funny prank to summon her when she disappears.  I wonder how she would react.

Misty and I fell asleep before Ellie came back with dinner.
