Chapter - 43 : Investigation

---

After reaching the city, Arthur made his way to a hotel and promptly booked a room to rest. Feeling refreshed after a nap, he ventured out to the local PokéMart to purchase much-needed medicines and Pokémon food, utilizing 5000 pokecoins for his supplies.

As he made his way back to the hotel, his path was unexpectedly interrupted by two gangsters brandishing a poster in their hands.

As Arthur made his way to the hotel, one of the gangsters approached him, showing a poster of the man he had killed earlier. Keeping his composure, Arthur responded with a calm expression, "No, I haven't seen him." .

"Alright, let us know if you come across him. He's wanted by the authorities."said the other gangster.

Arthur , maintaining a calm demeanor "Sure, I'll keep an eye out and inform you if I come across him."

The gangsters, seemingly satisfied with Arthur's response, allowed him to continue on his way. He made his way back to the hotel, feeling a mixture of relief and unease. As he entered his room, he let out a deep sigh.

Arthur decided to exercise caution and limit his ventures outside of the hotel. He understood the importance of staying vigilant and avoiding any unnecessary risks. Instead of heading towards the mountain, he would occasionally step out of the hotel premises just to assess the situation in the city.

He would observe his surroundings, keep an eye on any suspicious activities, and gather information discreetly. This way, he aimed to stay updated without drawing unnecessary attention to himself.

After a week had passed, Arthur noticed a worsening situation in the city. The gangsters, under the pretense of searching for the wanted individual, began engaging in acts of looting and spreading fear among the people. They used the excuse of finding clues or holding individuals responsible for the man's disappearance. The atmosphere in the city grew tense as people became victims of these criminal activities. Arthur realized that it was becoming increasingly challenging to navigate through the city safely and avoid the attention of the gangsters.

Recognizing the urgency to continue his training and the need to be cautious, Arthur made a bold decision. He resolved to venture into the outskirts of the mountain everyday in the afternoon, taking advantage of the limited time window and hoping to return to the city before sunset.

With the trains suspended and strict regulations in place, leaving the city seemed impossible for now. However, once the situation calmed down to some extent, he planned to make his escape.
