Chapter - 14 : Battle Royale - II
---
After everyone had selected their numbers, the principal announced the start of the competition. A referee was stationed on the stage and called out the first number, "Number 1, come out!" Two students stepped forward and stood facing each other. The referee signaled the start of the battle.
The girl released her level 8 Sunkern, while the boy sent out his level 9 Poliwag. Arthur was surprised to see these Pokémon and speculated that these trainers might be from more privileged sections than them. The battle began, but due to the type advantage, the girl emerged victorious, advancing to the next stage.
As Arthur observed the battles unfold, he noticed that the boy lacked tactical skills. Several other battles took place, and Arthur was astonished to see a level 11 Alolan Sandshrew. He deduced that the trainer must come from a more affluent background based on the rarity and strength of the Pokémon.
After several battles finally the referee called out Zachery's number, he confidently stepped onto the stage, greeted by the boy standing in front of him who seemed displeased with the girls' support for Zachery. The referee initiated the battle, and Zachery released his Phanpy onto the field. The opponent responded by sending out a Wooper.
Arthur used his system to inspect on both the pokemons .

As Zachery commanded his Phanpy to use Rollout, the opponent's sneer turned into a confident grin as he ordered his Wooper to unleash a Water Gun attack. However, Zachery was quick to react, instructing Phanpy to dodge the incoming attack while maintaining the momentum of Rollout.
Phanpy skillfully evaded the Water Gun, its speed increasing with each consecutive Rollout. The opponent's Wooper, unable to land a hit, grew frustrated. Seizing the opportunity, the opponent commanded Wooper to retaliate with a Mud Shot, which successfully struck Phanpy, momentarily slowing its momentum.
Undeterred, Zachery strategized and called for Phanpy to dodge once again. Taking advantage of the opening, he commanded Phanpy to use Flail, landing a powerful hit on Wooper. The impact left the opponent's Pokémon visibly weakened.
The crowd watched intently as the battle between Phanpy and Wooper intensified. Both trainers displayed their tactical prowess, determined to secure victory for their respective Pokémon.
As the battle raged on, both Wooper and Phanpy showed signs of exhaustion. The boy seized the opportunity and commanded his Wooper to unleash a final Water Gun attack. However, Zachery's Phanpy refused to back down. With determination in its eyes, Phanpy unleashed a powerful Flail attack, landing a decisive blow on Wooper.
Despite being hit by the Water Gun, Phanpy's resolve remained unshaken. Its Flail attack proved to be too much for Wooper to handle, and it fell defeated to the ground. The crowd erupted into cheers and applause as Zachery emerged victorious from the battle.
Zachery, elated with his win, exchanged a proud smile with Phanpy. The boy, though disappointed, acknowledged Zachery's skill and congratulated him on his well-deserved victory. The referee announced Zachery as the winner and called for the next battle to commence.
