Chapter - 41 : Trap
---
Arthur ran out of resources and had no Pokémon food left, so he decided to leave the mountain and return to Milosa City. Fortunately, his late father had left him 5000 pokecoins, which would help him financially. As he made his way down the mountain, Arthur thought about the past 10 months he spent in Milosa City.
After a few hours of travel, Arthur caught sight of the outskirts of the mountain. Feeling cautious, he called out Gallade and instructed it to hide at a safe distance. He couldn't be certain if the person who had targeted him six months ago was still around.
As Arthur neared the outskirts, he had a strong sense that someone was watching him. Feeling on edge, he quickly turned around and shouted, "Come out! I know you're here!"
After a while, a man emerged from behind a tree, chuckling to himself. He looked at Arthur and said, "You've got quite the keen senses for someone your age, boy!"
He paused for a moment before continuing, "So, you're finally willing to leave that mountain of yours. I thought you met your end there. Last time, you managed to escape, but this time, there's nowhere to run."
"Why are you targeting me? I haven't done anything, nor do I have anything," Arthur questioned, his voice tinged with confusion and frustration.
"Why?" the man chuckled sinisterly. "Haha, I don't need any reason to target you! Sometimes, it's just more fun that way."
Arthur's brows furrowed as he tried to make sense of the man's words. "What do you want from me? Why can't you leave me alone?"

The man approached Arthur with a sinister grin and made a demand. "Why don't you hand over your Charcadet to me? In return, I promise to end your life swiftly."
Arthur's face tightened in concern as he realized that he was being targeted because of Charcadet. He was relieved that he had refrained from revealing Ralts in public, aware of the potential consequences it could have brought upon them.
The man summoned his level 30 Fearow, and in response, Arthur released Charcadet from his Poké Ball. As soon as the man laid eyes on Charcadet, a twisted smile crept across his face, filled with sinister anticipation.
"Fearow, use Aerial Ace!" commanded the man. The powerful attack swiftly approached Charcadet. Thinking quickly, Arthur ordered, "Use Flamethrower!" Unfortunately, Fearow managed to evade the attack and landed a solid hit on Charcadet with Aerial Ace, causing him significant damage. Seizing the opportunity, the man swiftly commanded Fearow to use "Take Down" in close proximity to Charcadet. Reacting with determination, Arthur instructed Charcadet to use "Will-O-Wisp," which successfully hit Fearow, inflicting a burn.
With Fearow recalled, the man swiftly released another Pokémon from his Poké Ball, revealing Gumshoos.
"Use Substitute!" commanded Arthur. Charcadet swiftly created a decoy to protect itself. The man retaliated, ordering Gumshoos to use "Crunch," which hit the Substitute instead. Not wasting any time, Arthur instructed Charcadet to use "Flamethrower," dealing damage to Gumshoos. The man countered with "Mud-Slap," hitting the decoy and causing it to fade away. Determined to turn the tide, Arthur commanded Charcadet to use "Will-O-Wisp." However, the man anticipated the move and ordered Gumshoos to dodge and counter with "Stomping Tantrum," landing a powerful blow on Charcadet, inflicting heavy damage.
"Boy, are you ready to die now?" laughed the man. Arthur's expression shifted from anxiety to a smile. "Gallade, take him down!" Arthur commanded.
Before the man could react, Gallade appeared behind him in a blink of an eye, utilizing Teleport. With swift precision, Gallade used its elbows like sword blades , severing the man's upper body from his lower body, ending his threat.
