Chapter - 15 : Battle Royale - III
---
As the battles continued, Arthur observed each match intently, learning from the strategies employed by the trainers. He analyzed their tactics, studying the strengths and weaknesses of different Pokémon. With each battle, his knowledge and understanding of Pokémon battles grew.
Arthur's excitement and determination surged as he witnessed impressive displays of skill and teamwork from the participants. He mentally noted the techniques that caught his attention, eager to incorporate them into his own future battles.
"Number 37," the referee called out, catching Arthur's attention. With a determined expression, Arthur confidently walked towards the stage where a girl awaited him as his opponent. The anticipation grew as they both stood ready, preparing for the battle to begin. The referee signaled the start, initiating the exciting clash between their Pokémon.
"Bulbasaur, come out," the girl called confidently, summoning her Pokémon onto the battlefield. As Arthur observed the sight of the lv 11 Bulbasaur, he couldn't help but make assumptions about the girl's background, suspecting that she belonged to the prestigious Section A where only the affluent students resided.
"Charcadet, come out," Arthur called out, releasing his Pokémon onto the stage. Whispers and murmurs spread among the students, as they speculated about who among the less privileged batch managed to acquire such a powerful Pokémon. The principal, overhearing the murmurs, muttered to himself, "So, he is the lucky one!"
The girl's face contorted with frustration as she realized the difficulty of the battle ahead. "Bulbasaur, use Leech Seed, then follow up with Tackle!" she commanded. However, Arthur had anticipated this and swiftly countered, shouting, "Charcadet, dodge it and retaliate with Flame Charge!" Charcadet evaded the Leech Seed and unleashed a powerful Flame Charge, dealing a significant blow to Bulbasaur. The girl's Pokémon was left in a precarious state, and without wasting a moment, Arthur commanded Charcadet to use Flame Charge once more, swiftly ending the battle.
The girl stood stunned in disbelief, unable to comprehend that the battle had ended so quickly. The principal observed the situation with a pensive expression, deep in thought. The referee declared Arthur the victor, and he made his way back to his seat. The defeated girl, with a mix of resignation and anger, glared at Arthur's back before returning to her seat.

"Arthur, do you know who you just defeated?" asked Zachery. Arthur shook his head, indicating that he had no idea. Zachery then revealed, "Her uncle is the right-hand man of the Doom Gang, and he bought her that Bulbasaur from the affluent area."
Arthur's expression darkened momentarily upon hearing this information, but he quickly regained his composure and replied, "We'll deal with that later. Right now, let's focus on the competition." He was determined to face any challenges that came his way, regardless of the opponent's background or connections.

1. In the city, there were two main areas: the rich area and the poor area. The rich area had good security and was where wealthy people lived. They had nice houses and lived comfortably.
The poor area was different. It had gangs operating there and was not as safe. The people who lived in the poor area didn't have much money and struggled to make ends meet. There were two parts within the poor area: the better area and the dirt area.
The better area was where the local school was located. Students from sections A, B, and C lived there.Even the factories for producing potions , antidotes , pokeballs were also established in this region . These sections were considered better because they had more resources and support. However, the sections were assigned based on the donations families made to the school. Families who gave more money got their children into the better sections.
Zachery lived in the better area but was in class D because his family refused to donate a lot of money to the school since they could hardly sustain their expenses living in the better area.
This showed that the system favored students from wealthier families. It created a difference between those who had more and those who had less in the city.
2. In the better sections of the school, students had access to various resources and support that helped enhance their education. They had experienced and qualified teachers who were dedicated to their students' learning. They also had the opportunity to visit Pokémon breeding centers, where they could learn about Pokémon firsthand and gain practical knowledge. These visits allowed them to see different species of Pokémon and understand their characteristics and behaviors better. Additionally, they enjoyed the privilege of receiving free meals at school and attending special lectures by renowned Pokémon professors, who shared their expertise and insights.
However, in the poorer sections, the situation was quite different. The availability of teachers was inconsistent, with some days having a teacher present while other days being left without proper instruction. These students did not have the opportunity to visit Pokémon breeding centers, missing out on valuable learning experiences. They were not provided with free meals at school. Moreover, they were deprived of the enriching lectures by Pokémon professors that could broaden their knowledge and inspire their passion for Pokémon.
