ARC 18: Chapter 630 - Ancient Evil vs. Phoenix Titan

“Destroy the world,” repeated Lakshman in a quiet voice. Then he shook his head and sighed as he replied, “Honestly, your words don’t surprise me considering what your actions have been till now, but don’t even think for a second that I’ll let that happen!”

“Yes, yes. I know you’re the guardian of the world and so on,” said the Ancient Evil scornfully, “but can you really save the world this time from me? Remember! The last time we fought, I was a mortal but now… I’m immortal!”

He shouted the last two words and raised both of his hands into the air as a proclamation of his status. Lakshman watching him silently before making a small smile and looking sympathetically at him.

“Seriously? Immortal? Unkillable? Ha!” He said and snorted. “Look, Ancient Evil. You certainly believe yourself to be unkillable and all just because you’re immortal… but! Remember! Where there is a will, there is a way, and I will find a way to stop you from carrying out your stupid mission!”

At those words, his enemy began clapping loudly and looked impressed as the Ancient Evil replied, “Bravo! That’s quite the bravery you’re displaying, but what’s your confidence? Where is it coming from? You think the Gods will save you this time?”

“Save me? When and where did they ever save me?”

“Don’t pretend, Phoenix Titan! You were saved multiple times in the past by the gifts the Gods granted you. In fact, the God of Energy could very well be called your ally considering the number of times he’s helped you over time!”

“Ha!” Lakshman laughed scathingly. “It seems your brain is addled after becoming immortal, idiot.” As the Ancient Evil looked at him with a frown, the Phoenix Titan continued to say, “Listen. The Gods never willingly saved me or protected me in any way, whether it was in the past or the present. As for the gifts that saved me multiple times, I’d like to bring to your attention that these ‘gifts’ granted to me are my achievements of proving myself to them and earning their respect! The same goes to being able to reincarnate so many times! You will do wise to remember that!”

“You tell him, Lakshman!” Asura said firmly inside his mind proudly. “That arrogant bastard thinks he knows us and is such a fool for doing so!”

The Ancient Evil looked momentarily taken aback before he let out a chuckle and said, “Honestly. You surprised me. I guess you are right that your actions and accomplishments did indeed earn those gifts, but so what? I’m immortal, and you’re just a feeble mortal waiting to die! Don’t worry! Now that I’ve risen to that of God rank, I’ll make it a painless death to you and this entire world!”

His words made Lakshman suddenly start laughing as if he found it very funny. When his enemy asked why he was laughing, Lakshman only continued to laugh without replying, managing to control himself a few seconds later.

“Reaching the rank of Gods! Am I supposed to be scared? Do you think that I am scared of the Gods?!” Lakshman demanded much to his enemy’s amazement. “Let me tell you that once in the past, there was indeed a certain God that did something that I greatly disliked, which in turn caused me to almost destroy him!”

“What?!” The Ancient Evil reacted with shock. “Whom are you talking about?!”

Lakshman smirked and replied, “The God of Destruction!”

“W-What?!”

“That’s right. He had descended into the human world, took on a human form and killed someone that I called as my friend. I was furious, and I nearly destroyed him if it weren’t for his wife descending and begging me to spare his worthless life! So, what makes you reaching the rank of God or whatever can scare me?”

The Ancient Evil looked at him with a stunned look on his face before he grew a little serious and said, “I think you’re missing the point, Phoenix Titan. The God of Destruction had clearly appeared before you in his mortal form. If he was in his Godly form, there’s no way you could’ve stood a chance!”

“That’s the lamest excuse you could’ve come up with!” Lakshman retaliated firmly. “He possessed his full powers as a God despite having a mortal body, but I still defeated him and was about to end his life! I almost did the same to the God of Calamity when he attempted to kill my brother in this life right before my eyes, which is why the bastard opened a void hole to try and destroy the world. Well, I did close the hole but not before giving him and his stupid ally a strong punch to the face!”

His words seemed to have hit his enemy like a heavy stone because the Ancient Evil suddenly staggered backwards in shock. Then he made a furious expression on his face and bellowed at him while surging with wild power.

“You dare insult my master! I’ll kill you for it!”

“Let’s see you try!” Lakshman retorted, and he too began to surge with immense power while radiating golden-red aura that surrounded him.

The two warriors faced off while their powers surged exponentially, causing wild winds to blow in all directions and shock waves to buffeted against everyone nearby. A second later, they blasted off from their stationary spot and flew towards one another before beginning a barrage of attacks in earnest while fighting at full power.

Each impact they made against another released a violent burst of wind that swept everywhere and threatened to send everyone flying away. At the same time, each time they delivered blows caused a continuous shaking of the ground to occur.

“Wow…!” Dominic said in amazement, who was watching them fight it out in the sky. “Such incredible power they’re unleashing.”

“But what good is it when the enemy’s an immortal and can get stronger the more energy he absorbs?” Lagron stated in with a frustrated look on his face. “What can we do to stop such a creature!” Then he looked towards the kneeling father of the Mardana Kingdom’s King and shouted, “You are such an idiot to believe something like that and fall into his trap! Now you did a good job of letting an evil creature lose on our world! How can you save the world now? Ha?! How?!”

His demands echoed in the surroundings and caused the man to flinch but kept him kneeling there like a lifeless husk. His son looked over him from behind before letting out a sighing and turning to the four Nine Pillars of Power.

“I must sincerely apologise for my conduct in the past and the wrong doings of my father,” he said and bowed deeply to them apologetically. “I am deeply sorry for all the wrongs we have caused you and the Phoenix Titan.”

Dominic, Lagron, Valerian and Nara were surprised to see him apologising so strongly, but the Dragon Titan could not accept it and became angry as he snarled, “You think an apology will cover up all the wrongs of your father and stop that thing?!”

“I know it cannot be accepted, but I sincerely feel the actions of my father and myself for causing problems for everyone,” said Athurus, admitting to his mistakes and looking disappointed in himself. “I will do whatever it is required to help you. I will also do my best to clear the rumours and the accusations on the Phoenix Titan and set the record straight.”

They stared at him with mixed emotions before Dominic said weakly, “But what use it if we don’t figure out a plan of action against that monster. Lucky won’t last against it for long.”

As they looked at him with mixed emotions, they suddenly heard a familiar voice getting closer to them as it addressed the Sword Titan, “Don’t worry, Dom. There is a plan.”

They all turned in the direction the voice came from and were surprised to see who it was.

“Y-You…!” Dominic said, widening his eyes in amazement while Valerian blinked a few times to make sure he was not seeing things.

The figure, who seemed to be smiling at them said, “Now then, let’s get ready.”

In the meantime, Lakshman was fighting against the Ancient Evil all that he got. He was using energy waves, energy blasts, waves of destruction and several other magic spells such as the commonly used Thousand Army to create a thousand copies of himself to confuse his enemy and Maga Distrab to cancel out the incoming attacks.

His attacks were powerful, but the enemy seemed to be adapting to the fighting style fairly easy. The Ancient Evil managed to dodge the attacks of the copies and fought back, managing to easily decimate the copies and find the real one. However, he was met with the magic cancelling Maga Distrab that momentarily startled him, but he quickly recovered and fought with different means by unleashing attacks that the spell could not destroy.

“You seem to be using repetitive type magic spells and skills that you’ve been using for a long time!” The Ancient Evil called out before letting out a laugh. “Can’t there be any newness in the way you fight me, otherwise this battle will get boring!”

“Don’t worry! I’m just getting started!” Lakshman replied with a confident smile on his face.

Seeing this, the Ancient Evil could not help but wonder what it was that made the Phoenix Titan be so confident. He wondered if he was able to power up to the next level or so, but he did not think he had the chance or the time to do it. Instead, he wondered if he was plotting something and began to fight him cautiously.

During one of the attacks, he was hit hard on top of his head and was sent hurtling down to the ground. However, he managed to break his fall by spinning around in mid-air and landing firmly on his feet. A few seconds later, Lakshman touched down as well and charged towards him at high speed not give him time to regain his composure.

Their battle on the ground resulted in cracks appearing everywhere on the ground and several parts of the area caving in or getting destroyed. Even some of the people were sent flying away as they could not withstand the violent winds unleashed from their raging battle.

The two warriors were evenly matched for several minutes, but as the battle dragged on, the Ancient Evil was slowly getting the upper hand. He was managing to land more hits on the Phoenix Titan, who seemed to be going on the defensive more than launching his own attacks. The Ancient Evil also noted that his enemy was losing his energy much faster than expected and wondered why that was.

After the blast that sent the two hurtling back, he said to the Phoenix Titan, “You certainly are losing your energy quite fast. I wonder why that is.”

“Who knows?” Lakshman replied vaguely while remaining to look confident.

The Ancient Evil smirked and asked, “Did you know that I have a technique that allows me to see the chain of energy and magic being released of the people I focus on?”

“What?!” Lakshman exclaimed, taken aback by this revelation.

Smirking and as his enemy looked in alarm, the Ancient Evil shouted, “Energy Vision!”

In an instant, his eyes began to glow and made all the colours in the area turn to grey and only showed colours on the magic and energy being released on the Phoenix Titan that he set his eyes on. In this state, he could see that the enemy was exhibiting a tremendous amount of energy but that was not all, he saw multiple strings connecting the Phoenix Titan and going to different parts. Focusing more, he sensed that the Phoenix Titan was using his energy to heal the injured and rescue those that were in a dangerous situation.

“Ah! I see now,” he said finally, deactivating the spell and smirking at him. “You certainly are quite reckless; healing the injuries of so many people while fighting me using your copies. Don’t you worry that you wouldn’t have any energy left to fight me, or have you already concluded that it’s a waste to fight me with your full strength?”

“I’m not cold-hearted monster that focuses solely on the destruction of the world,” replied Lakshman coldly. “Besides, what do you gain by destroying the world? Your mission doesn’t make any sense!”

“I do gain a lot! The satisfaction of completing my mission, the satisfaction of pleasing my master, and the praise I get at the end. All of it is worth what I’m doing,” replied his enemy with a smile.

Lakshman looked on with a troubled expression and asked, “With your level of power and skills, you could actually help our world and solve the problems. Don’t you realise how difficult it is to create than to destroy?”

That question seemed to muddle the Ancient Evil, who suddenly looked troubled, but only for a brief moment because he soon recovered and smiled sadly at him.

“I’m sorry, Phoenix Titan, but not all of creation can be heroes; some people have to take on the other side. In my case, I’m doing it willingly, and I’m actually enjoying it rather than being what you currently are. So, thanks for the offer… but no thanks.”

As his enemy looked on with frustration, his smile widened as he said, “In any case, I see that these people are distracting you. Why don’t I fix that?”

“What? What do you mean?” Lakshman asked, suddenly looking suspicious and apprehensive.

As the Ancient Evil raise his hand above his head, he stated, “Oh, nothing really. I’m just taking out the trash.”

Realising what he meant by those words, the Phoenix Titan instantly shouted, “No! Don’t do it!”

He instantly surged with an enormous amount of power and sensing that his enemy was about to activate his powers, he aimed both of his hands at him and shouted, “Maga Distrab!”

“Cancel,” said the enemy simply.

In an instant, the Maga Distrab spell was destroyed with the sound of breaking glass. Lakshman was shocked to see it happen, but he was unprepared when the enemy simultaneously spoke the magic spell of his own to activate.

“Blood Destruction.”

As he spoke, his hand began to glow and at the same time, a large number of populaces began to glow in a strange light. The copies of the Phoenix Titan were shocked and attempted to free them by using Maga Distrab, however the spell only got destroyed with the sound of breaking glass without doing anything to stop the attack.

A second later, the Ancient Evil, with the hand that he raised over his head, he closed it tightly and clenched it firmly. In execution of it, the glowing people suddenly began to scream as their bodies began to bloat and expanded to enormous sizes. Many of them, man, woman, children, all cried out for help before exploring into bloody pieces.

“NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!”

Lakshman screamed at the horror that took place around him. Many living people had exploded into pieces, causing a ground to be covered with pools of their blood. At the same time, particles of light began to fly out of the bloody mess and soar towards the Ancient Evil before merging into his raised hand.

“Hmph. So feeble,” evil monster commented as the lights completely vanished after merging into his hand. “I expected to gather more energy from them, but I guess feeble creatures can only amount to so much.”

“You… you… bastard…! What have you done?!” Lakshman demanded, looking up and glaring fiercely at his enemy.

“I told you; taking out the trash,” replied his enemy with a smug smile, “and since we don’t have any more distractions, we can carry out the fight, and you won’t need to waste your energy needlessly on these fools.”

“You… monster…!” Lakshman said with a struggle as he fought to control himself from becoming enraged. “You killed… so many people… even the children…!”

“Oh, give it a rest, will you?” The Ancient Evil asked with a sigh. “I’m sure you only feel that way because you’re a father. I bet you wouldn’t feel so upset otherwise, right?”

Lakshman remained silent at the unthinkable question before replying, “I don’t expect a cold-hearted monster to understand anything better since all he knows is to destroy, destroy and destroy.” He glared at him fiercely while his enemy smiled before saying, “Still, it is my fault for not anticipating this. Forgive me, and I hope this makes up for it.”

He glanced around at the surroundings before raising his hand in front of him and put his thumb, and finger from his forefinger as if he was about to click them. The Ancient Evil momentarily wondered what he was going to do, but he was shocked when the magic spell he used was that unexpected and shocking.

“Real Fiction!”

With a shout, he clicked his fingers and activated the magic spell. In an instant, everything around them began to faze in and out as if the reality was being distorted. It took several seconds of reality being distorted before the people that died returned to normal. Not only that, but all the destruction that had taken place at the Mardana Kingdom’s capital ever since Nara, Valerian and Zen Phylon, the Phoenix Emperor, arrived and began their fight with the monster girl.

Elsewhere, in the Floria Kingdom’s capital, all those who were corrupted and become mindless monsters returned to normal as well as the paralysing swords vanishing into thin air. At the same time, those who had died since the attack began returned to life and looked very confused about al thar had happened.

Wolfenstine, who was watching this and the warm scene of people reuniting with their families, smiled and muttered, “Looks like Lucky pulled off that difficult spell he mentioned to me. Good, but I can still sense the battle going on. Hmm…! Looks like he’s going to go with that plan after all.” Then he put his hands together in a prayer and muttered, “I hope it works, dear gods! I hope it really works!”

At that moment, everyone in the Mardana Kingdom’s capital were very confused. Even the deceased members of the Phintex Rajas appeared standing outside the walls where they had seemingly died to the attack of the mindless monsters. However, the monsters around them were looking just as confused as them and began leaving the area as quickly as they could.

“What happened?”

“I thought we died.”

“Yes. We definitely died but… looks like we were given a second chance,” said who appeared to be the leader of the small group. Then he sensed the power levels coming from the capital and exclaimed, “Wait! Is that the Phoenix Titan that I’m sensing!”

“Yes!”

“It’s him!”

“Let’s go!” The man said, and following his orders, the group of Phintex Rajas warped out of there.

Inside the capital, everyone was looking perplexed and confused as to hat had happened. They all were thought to have died but suddenly found themselves back at the place of their death and the destroyed buildings back to normal. It was almost felt like everything that they witnessed was a lie. They celebrated them being alive again and seeing their family’s members alive as well.

The Ancient Evil could not believe what he was seeing. All the people that he had killed, and the people that had died due to the destruction brought on by his servant, the monster girl, had somehow been resurrected. He glanced around at the merry cheer going around at being alive before turning to look towards the Phoenix Titan with great anger.

“You…! What have you done?!”

However, Lakshman suddenly fell to knees and began to vomit a lot of blood out of his mouth. He tried to stop it by placing a mouth over it, but he lurched and heaved a lot of blood out of his mouth. It seemed like the spell had cast caused a heavy burden on his body and that resulted in an intense pain that he was experiencing.

“D-Damn…!” Lakshman muttered and coughed blood while breathing deeply. “That was… to much…!”

“You…! What the hell did you do?!” The Ancient Evil glared at him fiercely.

Gathering his strength, Lakshman looked up at his fuming enemy and smiled as he replied, “You should… already know by just… looking around… right?”

His words made his enemy livid with the utmost fury, however he suddenly sensed something strange about himself. He began patting himself and widened his eyes in alarm at the realisation of what had happened. It seemed that when all the actions and destruction caused was restored, so was the state the person was in reverted back to the original state they were in before all of it began.

“Oh no…! I’m not immortal…!” He muttered, and Lakshman could not help but overhear his words.

“W-What…?” Lakshman reacted, looking alarmed by what he managed to hear. “You’re not…?”

Looking both angry and scared, the Ancient Evil suddenly began looking around for his servant to get back his immortality. As he frantically looked around, he spotted her standing there in a daze and not moving one bit.

“Found you!” He said with relief and triumph.

He kicked off the ground and flew past Lakshman, who shouted at him, “Wait!”

He tried to go after him, but the intense pain he felt from his body caused him unable to move, but he was not about to give up. So, he shouted to his allies to go and stop him.

“Lagron! Dom! Stop him! He’s not immortal!”

His bellow reached the place where the four of the Nine Pillars of Power were standing and looking around with surprise on their faces. When their head his shout, they reacted with surprise before beginning to sense the location of their enemy’s whereabouts. Once they found it, Lagron, Dominic and Nara quickly hurried over to him while Valerian headed over to the attend to Lakshman.

The three warriors spotted him and were alarmed to see him charging straight towards where the monster girl was standing motionless. This made them remember that he had done something similar by causing her to come to him and absorbed her powers before tossing her aside.

“Looks like his immortality has something to do with her!” Nara guessed correctly as they hurried to stop their enemy.

At the same time, the Ancient Evil sensed the three warriors drawing closer and turned to see them hurrying over to stop him.

Realising the tight spot that he was in, the evil monster came to a stop and shouted at his servant, “Servant! Come to me now! Hurry!”

Heeding his command, the monster girl kicked off the ground and flew towards him at high speed. Nara was shocked at the speed of her movement, but he reacted fast and managed to channel a powerful energy into his hand and fired it directly at the Ancient Evil. Dominic did the same, who activated his sword and sent multiple swords flying towards them while Lagron surged with power and flew towards them at high speed.

Not willing to waste his energy fighting them, the Ancient Evil blocked the attack and they exploded on impact, causing him to exclaim, “Damn! What a nuisance these people are!”

A moment later, Lagron was the first to reach him and unleashed a wave of destruction at close range, but the Ancient Evil merely slapped at the wave and sent it flying up into the sky. Before Lagron could react, he delivered a powerful punch to his face and sent him flying away.

As he flew away, Dominic and the monster girl reached the Ancient Evil at the same time. Dominic instantly used his sword on the girl and sent her flying back to keep her away from their enemy before beginning his fight with the Ancient Evil.

“Damn you, Sword Titan!” The evil monster bellowed as he defended against Dominic’s attacks.

“I’m not letting you get to her!” Dominic said fiercely as he unleashed a barrage of sword attacks on his enemy.

As their fight raged on, they were joined by the War Titan, who began to unleash a barrage of fists and kicks at their enemy. The Ancient Evil was struggling to find an opportunity to break free from the two warriors. And so ordered his servant to attack them.

“Servant! Attack them now!”

Following his command, the girl picked herself up and flew over to join them when she was stopped by the Dragon Titan who got in her way. Then he began to do combat with her, managing to deliver several blows that brought her to her knees before smashing her into the ground to keep her there.

“Try and come over here to get her, you bastard!” Lagron turned and taunted their enemy with a smug smile.

Greatly angered by the taunt, their enemy shouted, “You think I’m not capable of handing these two and get to you?! Think again!”

He suddenly caught both of their attack that exploded in an instant, causing smoke and debris to occur. The people, who were frozen with fear, took this chance to quickly flee the area where the battle was taking place to not end up dying a second time.

Out of the smoke, the Ancient Evil suddenly lunged his hands forward and grabbed both of the warriors by their faces. Then he unleashed a black lightning upon them, causing the two an immense amount of pain and going numb in the process. As the attack was successful, he hurled them across the street and flew over to where Lagron was waiting for him.

“Here I come!” He shouted at Lagron.

“I know!” Lagron replied with a firm expression on his face.

As the two crossed paths, they began to unleash their mightiest attacks at one another. The Dragon Titan was fighting him with great effort and managed to pierce his energy sword into his enemy. He thought he had succeeded in inflicting a wound on him, but the enemy surprised him by grabbing his face and like he did to the other two, unleashed a violent black lightning attack on him, which immobilized the warriors and made him go limp.

Tossing him aside, the Ancient Evil moved forward and placed his hand on his servant and began to absorb his immortality as well as the power he had shared with her. Due to this, the monster girl began to scream with pain and looked to be losing her life by this process of transferring power over to another.

“Yes! Yes! I can feel it!” He remarked as he sensed the successful transfer of powers from her to him.

At that moment, Valerian came out of nowhere and landed his fist against the enemy’s face, sending him away while his feet got dragged on the ground. The monster girl let out a soft groan and fainted in the Storm Titan’s arms, who began asking her if she was alright only to get no response at all, but he was sure she was still alive; just weakened from the process.

The Ancient Evil rubbed his face where he was hit before letting out a loud laughter. By that time, Valerian had put the girl down gently on the ground and turned back to face him along with Lagron, Domininc and Nara, who were all looking frustrated.

“You had one chance! One chance… and you wasted it!” Their enemy shouted before continuing to laugh loudly.

“Goddammit! Not again!” Nara remarked angrily.

“He’s just too strong for us,” said Dominic quietly.

“And cunning too!” Lagron added, looking extreme angry.

Valerian was the only one who remained calm as he muttered to the others so their enemy could not hear, “It’s alright. There’s still that plan. Remember?”

The other three nodded silently in agreement and looked at their enemy with determined on their faces. So, the four warriors and their enemy stared at each other in complete silence for a few seconds before the Ancient Evil surged with power and flew towards them to begin the attack.

Once again, four of the Nine Pillars of Power found themselves having to fight their hardest and defend against the deadly attacks of their enemy. No matter how much effort they put in, they could not deal the deadly blow that could kill him, which was looking impossible since he had attained his immortality once again.

“Can you feel your hopes slipping away?!” Their enemy shouted gleefully.

“As a matter of fact, we’re too hopeful for any of it!” Dominic replied with a brilliant smile on his face.

“What?” Their enemy asked in surprise and confusion.

At that moment, Lagron suddenly disappeared and reappeared directly in front of him. His enemy reacted by attempting to vaporize the warrior, but as he was about to do it, the War Titan from behind summoned his Contracted Spirit, a golden gauntlet and clicked his fingers by saying the magic words.

“Break.”

In an instant, the energy that the enemy gathered suddenly dissipated and vanished into thin air. This startled the enemy, but he had no time to worry about it because, at that moment, the Dragon Titan grabbed him by his head and spun him around several times before hurled him in a certain direction. The Ancient Evil flew through the air for several meters before managing to break his flight and land, which was when he realised, he had gotten back to where he was fighting the Phoenix Titan previously.

“Oh, look where I got tossed to,” he commented casually as if it did not matter at all.

He saw the Phoenix Titan still kneeling on the ground while looking badly injured.

“Looks like you need a time out,” the Ancient Evil remarked and started laughing at his own joke.

To his surprise, Lakshman also began to laugh and replied, “Yeah, but the one that’ll be taking the timeout is you.”

As he spoke, he placed a hand on the ground and began channelling it with his energy. In an instant, a large magic circle appeared formed beneath their ground and shocked the evil monster.

“W-What?! What is this?!” His enemy exclaimed as he looked around at the ground.

“It’s a summoning spell to bring forth a God!” Lakshman said and shocked his enemy.

“You… You can’t be serious!”

“Oh, yes I am. By the way, want to take a guess which God I’m calling?” Lakshman asked, and as his enemy remined silent, he smiled and stated, “It’s the Goddess of War, Kalkita!”

The proclamation of the name itself made the Ancient Evil’s eyes to go up in horror. He knew of the destructive power of the Goddess of War, and the good relationship she had with the Phoenix Titan in the past. This made him feel fear for the first time in a very long time. It was because of the fact that only Gods can kill Gods. As such, being the immortal that he was, the Goddess of War would find it no trouble to kill him.

“Once summoned, she’s going to be your judge and jury! I hope you’re excited about your chances of survival!” Lakshman remarked confidently.

Becoming scared, his enemy took aim at the magic circle and shouted, “Cancel!”

He was expecting the magic spell to cancel, however nothing happened much to his shock. He tired again and again and again multiple times but to no avail. It was then that the Phoenix Titan revealed that the spell was encased with anti-magic spell so that it could not be cancelled at all.

“I learnt my lesson after your facing your master the last time we met,” he said, referring to the time he used the God Summoning spell to bring forth the Goddess of War when the God of Calamity was hell bent on destroying him during his stay in the Alzard World.

“Now then, here we go!” Lakshman shouted, and his enemy looked on with horror as the Phoenix Titan shouted, “I summon you! Come forth!”

As he activated the magic spell, there was a brilliant flash of light that caused everyone in the vicinity to cover their eyes. Even the Ancient Evil covered his eyes while fearing for his life and when the light dimmed, he reopened them while taking glances at the surroundings. He was momentarily surprised and taken aback at not seeing any kind of Goddess appearing there, although he just assumed that her appearance was probably delayed.

“I… better leave…!” He whispered to himself, thinking of his survival.

He turned around only to be met with a sudden impact in his gut. The impact was so strong that it momentarily stunned him. Then he was hit again, this time on his backside that caused him to bend backwards while opening his mouth open. Time seemed to tick slowly as he bent, and turning his eyes to see who his attacker was, he was alarmed to see that it was a Lakshman that did not appear to be injured at all like how he appeared previously.

Time seemed to resume as Lakshman seemingly summoned a small tube out of thin air that contained a strange liquid substance in it. Then he shouted, “Have a taste of this!” and tossed the contents of the tube into the Ancient Evil’s open mouth.
