The two warriors clashed against one another, fist against fist, and the unleashed force caused a violent burst of wind to occur in their surroundings. They got blasted backwards and landed on their feet before they kicked off the ground and charged towards one another again. When they clashed again, this time they threw a whirlwind of fists towards one another while also blocking the attack of their opponent.
Lakshman launched an uppercut that smashed his enemy into the air, but the alien recovered and fired a purple ball of energy where he stood. He instantly teleported from that spot and appeared beyond the ball, where it landed and exploded with a massive force, causing the ground to shake and a wild blowing wind to go in all directions.
He chased after the alien, who was flying around firing energy in the shape of spears at him. Finally, when they landed and with Lakshman still in the air, he raised his hand into the air and gathered his energy to form his own spear of energy.
“Positron Lancer!” He shouted and hurled it down at him.
As the attack flew down with tremendous force, the alien raised his right hand at it and flexed his muscles before swiping it away. In an instant, the attack changed its course and flew off in a different direction before landing exploding, causing a massive explosion of power that shook the ground greatly.
At the same time, Lakshman landed back on his feet and attempted to smash his enemy in the gut, but his fit was caught quickly by the alien. The Overlord glared at him and attempted to punch him back, whose attack got stopped by Lakshman’s hand and the two stood facing each other, surging with incredible power that caused the ground to crack in all directions.
This continued to happen for almost a minute before the Overlord shouted, “Quite skilled, but not strong!”
He leaned back and smashed his head against Lakshman’s head, causing the king from another world to lean back in shock.
Still, he did not let go of his enemy’s hands and recovered quickly to glare angrily back at him as he replied, “Says you!”
This time, he swung his head forward and smashed the Overlord in the head, causing the alien to step back in recoil. It was also then that they broke their hand grips and stepped away from each other. Without a second of that happening, the Overlord and smashed his fist against the side of Lakshman’s face, causing him to grunt in pain. Likewise, using the momentum of his body swing, the king from another world swung himself around and raised his leg to smash his enemy in the face, sending him flying away before chasing after him.
At that time, the three monsters were fighting their own battle away from their masters; with Phylex and Draga soaring through the air and the beast monster attacking them from the ground. Both familiars attacked the beast monster with their laser cannons such as Pyro Blaster and Spirit Laser, however, they did not seem to do much damage against the beast. Instead, they seemed to receive heavy damage from it instead.
“Wind Cutter!” The beast roared telepathically, opening its mouth wide and bellowing at them.
A powerful slicing wind energy flew out of him and soared at them, causing their bodies to get badly injured from the attack.
“Dammit! I had this!” Draga shouted telepathically, flying directly down at the enemy.
“Draga! No!” Phylex shouted telepathically warningly, but the Spirit Dragon had already gone plunged into a dive.
The Spirit Dragon flew through the air at high speed and charged towards the beast before shouting telepathically, “Ice Form: Horn Buster!”
In an instant, it entire body got covered by icy shards that gave it a very dynamic appearance, making it look like an ice monster with a spear head. His intention was to plunge through the monster with its ice horn and subsequently destroying the beast to make it return back to its world.
As it charged towards the beast, his enemy roared violently and brought its hands forward to catch him. There was a sudden burst of tremendous force from the two of them as Draga’s flight caused the beast’s legs to get dragged backwards on the ground. A struggle ensued, with it trying to stop this destructive attack.
It was then that Phylex saw an opening and determined it was time for it to attack as well. So, it flapped its wings and flew high into the air before diving towards them at an incredible speed while shouting magic words telepathically.
“Phoenix Fury!”
In an instant, his entire body got surrounded by wild raging flames that gave him an appearance of a phoenix burning with rage and fury. It flew through the air at high speed and came down from the top of the monster, which looked up and noticed the attack that was aimed at it.
Roaring once more, the beast raised quickly moved one of its arms upward and caught the burning attack that came from the Eternal Phoenix. This display of power shocked both Phylex and Draga as the beast appeared to be capable of blocking both of their attacks with just one arm for each of them.
“With the two of us attacking you, you don’t stand a chance!” Phylex shouted telepathically.
“No chance at all!” Draga added telepathically with tremendous force.
The two familiars began outputting their maximum power into this strike, which in turn would leave them very weak. However, they were willing to destroy themselves in order to destroy this monster to ensure their master would be victorious on this end even if he was faced with a tough battle with the Overlord.
As the two familiars polled their powers together, they screamed telepathically, “AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!”
The beast was shocked and roared as it widened its eyes as his arms shook and finally buckled, causing both familiars to plunge into him. There was a massive explosion of power that resulted in their clash, causing the ground to shake violently while a violent wind blew in all directions.
Erza, who was still inside the Elemental Coated Armour and had been the closest to them, winced as she feared that she would get sent flying away. However, her protective barrier saved her, and she opened her eyes to see the that a huge amount of smoke began drifting everywhere. A moment later, the smoke cleared and revealed a sight of the beast still standing with Lakshman’s familiars lying motionless elsewhere.
“No way!” She exclaimed, shocked that the beast was still standing after seeing the two familiars use so much power.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
It was then that the monster’s body began to turn into particles of like that drifted around before disappearing. She watched in amazement as the defeated monster slowly turned into particles of vanish from sight before the two familiars groaned as they pushed themselves to their feet and moved slowly towards her.
“It worked…!” She said slowly, feeling happy as the two familiars slowly moved towards her and lay down wearily in front of her. Nervously, she moved her hands out of the Elemental Coated Armour and rubbed a small part of their face slowly before saying, “Well done, you two.”
“It was nothing,” replied Draga telepathically before coughing weakly.
“Thank you, mistress,” said Phylex, with a small smile on his face.
Seeing his Summoned Beast vanish from the defeat it had suffered, the Overlord glanced at it and shouted, “What?!”
Lakshman saw it too and smiled proudly at the victory his familiars achieved after a difficult battle. He could sense that they had weakened very much and were on the verge of disappearing from this world. This made him feel determined to quickly defeat his enemy, who was staring at his vanishing monster in shock.
“How cam my Summoned Beast lose to two weaklings?!” The Overlord demanded angrily.
“Well, it was a stupid idea to throw one monster against two monsters, to be honest,” Lakshman confided in him with a small smile. As his enemy turned and glared at him, his smile widened a little as he went on saying, “It was strong, but my familiars were stronger still and the result is this. It’s about time I finish you off as well.”
The Overlord snorted and shouted, “I’m not like my monster to go down to the likes of you!”
As he roared, he began to surge with incredible power, and Lakshman did the same to not give his enemy an upper hand. Once they finished powering up, the two stared at each other for only a moment before disappearing on the spot and reappearing to smash their fists against one another. However, they served their arms slightly and caused their fist to fly past their arm and smash into the side of the other’s face.
They groaned simultaneously before being pushed away from the impact of their attacks. As they landed, both men gathered powerful energy balls in their hands and unleashed it towards one another with incredible force. The two attacks soared towards each other and collided in the centre, causing an intense standoff of energy cannons.
Erza and the two familiars watched them engage in a beam struggle before she heard the familiars say, “I suppose this is it for us.”
“Yeah. We’re disappearing,” commented Draga in agreement.
That was when Erza looked back at the two familiars and saw that their bodies were slowly vanishing. It saddened her very much, making her think they were going to die and disappear forever. Realising this, Draga snorted and spoke kindly to her for the first time since meeting her.
“Mistress, we won’t die. We’re simply returning to our world. That’s all. You don’t need to cry for us.”
“R-Really?” She asked, and when he nodded, she could somehow tell that he was smiling even though he had a fearsome dragon face. “That’s good,” she finally said with a small smile of relief.
As Draga snorted, Phylex asked curiously, “Oh? So, you can speak kindly as well?”
“Shut up!” Draga retorted irritably.
“But, will I get to see you again?” Erza asked them with an anxious look on her face.
“You will, mistress,” replied Phylex telepathically in a soft voice.
Erza looked puzzled and asked, “Okay, but why is it that you keep calling me ‘mistress’ as if I’m related to your master. In fact, he told me I’m his wife and that he loves me. I don’t understand any of this.”
As she looked troubled, Draga snorted and said telepathically, “You are his mistress because he married you from the world he comes from.”
“What?!” She exclaimed, looking shocked. “There’s another me in his world, and he married her?”
Draga nodded and Phylex said, “He seemed to have met you even before he formed contracts with me and Draga, and we were there when he married you.”
“It was a splendid marriage,” commented Draga pleasantly, seeming to enjoy their conversation.
“I see,” said Erza slowly, and she looked upset much to their surprise. “Is that why he’s… treating me so… specially? Because he married me in that world, he mistook me as his wife and is treating me with care?”
There was a moment of silence between them before Phylex addressed her by saying, “Mistress, I think you re having a great misunderstanding. It’s not someone that looks like you that he married; the one he married in that world is you.”
“Huh?” She asked, looking up in confusion. “Me? But… I’m in this world… How can I—?” It was then that a thought struck her as strange and asked, “Wait, does this mean that I travelled to his world and that’s how we ended up meeting with one another?”
“As smart as ever, mistress,” commented Draga with a laugh.
Phylex nodded in agreement and said, “That is correct, mistress. I believe master told us that you came to that world from sometime in the future with the result of him travelling to another world. As such, that exact even is happening right now.”
“It’s simply destiny bringing you two together, mistress,” said Draga softly, looking kindly at her.
Erza was amazed, and so was Phylex, who commented, “It’s strange seeing you acting nice all of a sudden. Did you hit your head a little too hard when you attacked that monster earlier?”
“I’m quite fine, dammit!” Draga retorted irritably, “and why are you complaining about me speaking softly instead of being impressed?”
“It’s just difficult to believe you can do it,” admitted Phylex, to which the Spirit Dragon tilted his head and glared at him.
The princess looked at the two of them and said, “This is all… hard to believe.”
“It is the truth,” said Phylex telepathically in a serene voice. “Don’t you have any feelings for him?”
At his sudden question, Erza blushed and looked embarrassed as she blinked rapidly and turned away. Then she slowly turned back to him and responded with, “I do. It was love at first sight when I saw him when my double brought him and the other heroes over, and I liked him even more when he protected me and my people during our first ball dance, but… after I learnt that he was already married… I…”
She faltered as she did not feel like continuing speaking because the feelings hurt her a little. Draga and Phylex looked at one another before looking back at her.
“Polygamy is normal in his world, mistress, but… so you dislike polygamy?” Phylex asked curiously.
“Well…” she began hesitantly and looked worriedly at them. “I’m not so against it if I receive the love that I seek, but… I’m just concerned that I’d be a burden on his other wives, so I—!”
“What about now?” Draga asked suddenly, looking shrewdly at her. “After learning about the love, he shares with you and his other wives, do you still believe it’s not worth pursuing love with master when your feelings for each other are genuine?”
To that, she did not respond because she had no idea how to respond to such a question. She did love Lakshman very much, and was happy to learn that she had married him by somehow going to his world and meeting him there. However, with her feelings of not wanting to burden anyone by her presence due to the experience she had with her father and second brother, she did not know whether it’d be wise for her to return the feelings she shares for him.
“Mistress,” began Phylex, and she looked at him. “It’s your choice whether you love master and be with him or not, but I believe master is complete when he has all his of his wives with him, otherwise, he’d be a man with holes in him. After all, his wives and his sisters are his only family remaining in that world, and he cherishes them very much.”
“This is also your chance to leave this miserable life for a better life elsewhere with the man whom you love. Not to mention, he can more than look after you,” said Draga telepathically encouragingly.
“Huh?” She asked, blinking at him in surprise and saw that they were moments away from vanishing away, with only their upper portion of their bodies remaining. They were running out of time and were doing their best to convince her that the life with her beloved man was far better than the miserable life she currently had in that world.
“It’s funny that you’re giving love advice,” commented Phylex.
“I just don’t want to see that man becoming upset,” replied Draga in a quiet voice. Then he looked down at her and said, “Choose carefully, mistress, because your life will be defined by the choice you make today.”
“The choice is yours, mistress,” said Phylex as he and Draga slowly faded away.
With that, both he and Phylex vanished from sight with their voices echoed inside of her mind with the last words they uttered, leaving her looking sad and feeling complicated about the difficult choice she was left to make on her own.
