CH. 60

One month and twelve days later, in the Glow Empire, at the top of a tower. A handsome man in a white robe suddenly got up in the middle of his conversation. He grinned and turned towards his two seatmates.

???: It's time.

???: Took long enough, we've waited more than a month already.

???: What could have happened to make them so slow?

???: It doesn't matter. Go get everyone. We depart now. Let's attack while they are still unaware.

...

Shortly after, thousands of strong beings were lined behind three who faced a door in the middle of the open court. A simple wooden door. The man in white robes walked to the door and infused Magic into it alongside an imprint. This imprit was a code of sorts containing the location of a specific world.

As the door and the magic collided, the door opened to reveal a vortex of colors. It was both attracting and scary. An abyss of promises. The white robe turned towards the beings behind him. They were all armed to the teeth. With a broad grin, he exclaimed:

???: I declare this bounty hunt open!

Everyone roared in anticipation in excitement as they rushed through the door. As soon as they were close to the entrance, if they had the intention to go through, the door was 'eating' them regardless of their sizes. They were twisted by the space itself and entered the whirlpool of colors only to disappear inside it as colors themselves.

Soon, there were only four people left in front of the open door. One of them was a legendary mercenary. He was hidden inside a cloak with only an helmet completely hiding his features. As he walked past them, he was chuckling and left them a single word 'Coward' before being absorbed into the vortex too.

The three men looked at themselves and chuckled too. Cowards? They were many things but clearly not cowards. They were patient and ruthless, that's what they were. They looked one last time at the landscape before going through the door as well.

...

After exiting the portal, they arrived inside a gloomy cave. It was incredibly crowded with all the mercenaries still there and unable to move further. In general, going through a portal would send you randomly somewhere inside the world you travelled to. There was however a way to counter that starting from the second arrival. It was to configurate the door as not only the world's exit but also the world's entrance.

Of course, in order to do that, you first needed someone to go to that world somewhere randomly, find the door and adjust it accordingly. Obviously, they had done just that beforehand so that right now, as they came back, they arrived through the door inside the dungeon plane. They had unfortunately underestimated the sheer numbers of their army... And now, all of them were stuck in the small part of the cave between the final walls and the seal they had put themselves.

The white-robed man took out a golden key from his inside pocket and held it up. With a little bit of Magic and the right incantation, the key flew towards the seventh keyhole, the only one with no keys inside it at the moment. Then, the barrier, the keyholes and the keys disappeared in golden powder under the screams of the bloodthirsty army.

Before they could even take a step forward though, something exploded in blue fireworks in front of them. And then, through the smoke, a grinning human face appeared. And it began to talk with a projected voice kind of spell.

Shen: Hey there~ I see that you have come prepared. How have you betrayers been this past years?

The white-robed man and his two comrades were grinding their teeth. Oh, how they hated this man! The fact that he was still alive and merry was painful itself.

???: We won't just seal you this time!

Shen: Feel free to try! We will be waiting for you outside! Take this portal!

???: Do you take us for fools?! Who would walk straight through your trap?!

Shen: Oh, but you will. You don't have anymore choice. After all, it is either you go through it or you go back.

???: We're going through one of the 156 orginal exits! Follow me everyone!

Shen: Bip~bip~ Impossible. Why? Because the owner closed them~ And who is the owner of this folded space where you so smartly put the only door? Right, it is me~ So, will you go through my portal or will you not?

???: You fucker! There's no way we'll go through this trap!

Shen: We've got babes and booze up here, so take your time to decide. Also, while the three of you might be happy waiting for years, i don't think the other gentlemen and ladies here are up for it? Everyone~ Make your choice~

???: Don't listen to his taunt!

The mercenary groups were starting to discuss amongst themselves. Some were adamant in staying here for this was a very obvious trap and some wanted to go through because they believed in themselves or such. In the end, a being with a weird voice walked out of the crowd first. You couldn't see anything from his appearance, cloaked with an helmet. He laughed as he walked straight through the portal. He was silently and slowly followed by more and more people until more than half had left.

As Shen noticed that no one was going through the portal anymore, the giant head holographic version of him laughed and said:

Shen: Did you think I would let you stay here? Come out, friends~ Let's play~

At the same moment, the head vanished in blue fireworks and some blue colored wave of wind began to rush towards the ones still there. The white-robed man 0knew what this spell was and could only curse madly as it went through everyone.

This was the 'Folded Space: Mass Ejection' spell that enabled the owner of a folded space to forcefully send out whoever was inside it. There mistake was to believe they ever had a choice.
