As Atem reached their bench, he tch'd once more towards Shen and said with a rude tone:
Atem: Why would you stop me?
Shen: Atem. Enough. You know why.
Atem: But it's been so long! I had finally found a place to showcase my Magic!
Shen: Atem!
Atem: ... I'm sorry. You're right. This could have ended badly.
Shen: What if it is somewhere here and you used that spell?
Atem: I-... You are right, leader. My excitement got the better of me. My apologies. I will reflect on my actions.
Shen: *sigh* No, I understand what you mean. Why don't you teach Adeline a bit more about how to fight melee fighters for now?
Atem: Yes, this should calm me down. Adeline, come here. Let me hear what you've learnt from my fight...
...
In the stands, an A-rank adventurer, a woman magician, was hyperventiling. She was with her party of two warriors and a priest. The priest asked her if she was alright and after she nodded, he asked:
???: Do you know what those spells were?
???: No...
???: What about that sphere? I had never seen so much mana in a single spell...If that had exploded or if he used it...
???: We would have all died.
All four of them gulped. They weren't even in a battle. They were the top of the top in terms of strength. Yet, they nearly died from a spell that was not aimed at them? Just how powerful was that Magus?! While the three men were in awe and a little frightened, the woman was beyond frightened.
This man too. There were strings. His entire body was made of strings too! How could this be?! Were there more than one who managed to reach the highest height of puppeting?! Or were they all just puppets of someone who had yet to show himself?! If this was the power of the puppets, how strong could the mastermind even be?! This was far, so far, beyond her.
As her thoughts reached there, she remembered that one of her teammate was going to fight the last of those monsters. And if he was a puppet as strong as those?! She turned towards the man in question and very seriously while she having cold sweat drip down her back, she said:
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
???: Be on guard. If you feel the slightest danger, give up. Don't play stupid.
???: ... I will.
It was probably the first time in his own life that the warrior replied so solemnly to her. He was fucking scared shitless too. Yet, he was incredibly excited and proud to be able to exchange pointers with a man that could likely be as strong as those two. He was still a warrior at heart.
...
In the VIP stand, two men were scared shitless. They were two Dukes. Two proeminent figures in the kingdom. They were sitting next to each other even though they hated each other and were political opponents. Duke Lemington and Duke Kennington. They had both wanted to use this group for their conspiracies but upon witnessing their power by themselves, with their own eyes, their minds had changed.
There was only one thought left: "don't involve yourself with them any further"
As for his dead son...Well, he had a few more left.
...
Still in those VIP stands, a young sixteen year old girl in lavish blue dress had stars in her eyes. To think that her heroes who disposed of her trash were not only incredibly mighty but also so handsome! Especially that Shen. What a face! You could feel the nobility of his heart through his gaze. And those dignified sentences! He was wise, young and handsome and he saved her from an arranged marriage once!
Wasn't he the perfect Prince on a white horse for her?!
She would first need to talk to him after the battles were finished though. He might be a playboy like his lecherous wolfman friend... Still, for now, she was very satisfied with this potential future groom of hers.
She turned to her maid and asked excitedly:
Princess ???: Was that black armor the one we sent him?!
Seeing the excitement and the sparks in the princess's eyes, the maid sighed internally and decided to make her feel great. Sometimes, a little white lie was okay if we brought someone happiness. And so, to this caged bird, she lied with a smile:
Maid ???: But of course, Princess! It seems like he enjoyed the present very much for him to wear it today.
The Princess was excitedly clapping her hands with a broad smile on her face. What were a few lies if it helped this young poor girl feel some shine in her life? As her maid, she would try to give her some joy like this anytime she could. As for the sins of lying, it didn't matter.
...
On a random seat, a man in a hood was clapping his hands. However, instead of a grin, this time he was frowning. He recognized the Magus. The true identity of the Magus to be exact. And since he knew, he would have to act.
...
Meanwhile Tempest was walking towards the arena with a beauty at each arms who were feeding him delicacies he bought at various stalls. They were sweetly flirting with him as they walked. How he enjoyed this feeling of freedom! If only he could spend the rest of his eternity doing nothing else... Too bad he still had people to murder first.
Anyways, as he was walking, he was hearing the random passer-bys talking about the results of the previous battles. It was far from unexpected that they both won. However, he could not help but laugh when he heard that Atem had tried to use the Black Star.
???: What kind of spell could that have been for everyone to be so hyped about it? Do you know, my brave wolf~?
Tempest: Ahah, of course I do, sweety~ It is called Black Star. It is a dark-summoning spell very powerful. If he had used it, he could have reduced the entire capital to ashes! Ahahah! No wonder the boss was mad!
Both women, having only known the wolfman as a wealthy pervert, thought he was bragging again and decided to go along with his bullshit. If they kept sweet-talking him, he would spend even more on them. After all, if they knew one thing, it was that this wolfman always had a gold coin in his pocket. And if there were no more, he had three more pockets in his hood.
