Chapter 386

AURORA

“Why there?” Dane asked as he followed me, I kept mute as I walked along the corridor, heading out of the pack house.

I can’t tell him I am going there to see what Alina’s connection was with that pack… I had to see if the moon goddess might lead me to something tangible.

Dane rushed in front of me and he made me stop, “Aurora… why there?” he asked as he held my arms.

“Because…” I said as I kissed him on his lips, “You need to trust

me…

He licked his lips as he wiped his cheeks, “Fine… should we use the car?”

“Perfect.”

We headed out and when we opened the garage at the back of the house, Dane smiled.

He walked up to the blue Porsche that came first, “I missed these babies.”

“Me too,” I said as I smiled at him.

Dane grabbed the keys from the driver that takes care of them. He opened my door for me and I got in, he entered and he placed his hand on my exposed thigh.

“It’s gonna be a long drive,” he said with a smirk on his face.

“I will love that..” I said as I patted his thighs too. noveldrama

I looked out of the window and I closed my eyes. I muttered a silent prayer to the moon goddess.

“Help me today”

Piper and Warrick have trusted me with so much… help me to unravel the truth about Alina’s deception.

I pressed the side of my head on the glass of the window and from the corner of my eye I could see Dane throwing periodic gazes at me.

I turned at him as he looked at me again. And I smiled softly.

“What’s on your mind, babe?”

I sighed as I raised my hand and ran my hair back. “Honey, it has been peaceful at the pack, right?”

Dane nodded, “All because of you, Aurora.”

I smirked, “Me?” I wondered. But there is a huge team behind the success. There’s me, you, Piper, and the rest of us… and most importantly, there is the moon goddess who was kind

enough to grant us victory in all of our battles.

I suddenly kept mute as I stared at the window again.

What awaits me in Trigon? What has the moon goddess sent me

there for?

I looked at the sky and I realised it was getting late so I turned to

Dane.

“Will we be able to come back home tonight?”

Dane shook his head, “It’s already late… I think we will get a nice hotel to stay for the night.”

“Then I better inform Evander and the kids then.”

Dane nodded. I took my phone and sent Evander a text. He was going to tell the kids too.

I I played a song, and connected it to the earpod I saw in the car. I placed it in my ear and rested my head on the head rest as I listened to the song with my eyes closed.

“Aurora,” I felt Dane touch my cheek softly and I blinked open my eyes to see him in front of me. He stood out of the car and he took my hand as he led me out.

“Wow,” my jaw dropped as I watched a beautiful three storeyed, five–star hotel in front of me.“Mr & Mrs?” I read the name on

the sparkling sign on top as I raised a brow at Dane.

Dane nodded as he looked at the car and took the keys before he stood beside me.

“You like it?” he asked as he took my arm and crossed it over his

elbow.

I swallowed. “I loved it Dane,” I smiled and turned to him, then to the sky, already filled with sparkling stars, then back at Dane, who winked at me.

“Tell me something… is this our honeymoon?”

Dane led me inside, “You deserve all the happiness the world holds… honeymoon or not, what matters is that, I made you happy.”

I looked away as my cheeks flushed, ‘You are so good with words… I’m not ready to be flattered by you, sorry.”

As we stepped inside, it felt like we had entered another world. I even glanced back at the door, half–expecting to see that we had crossed into some other realm.

The lights were mesmerizing, with chandeliers so stunning they seemed almost unreal.

When I looked down, the glass floor gleamed like a perfect mirror, reflecting everything around us. Dane walked up to the counter, where a pale–skinned, stunning blonde greeted us with a polite smile.

I guess I was too awed to hear what they were saying, but Dane took a key from her and then he turned to me.

“Babe… should we eat first before going to the room, or should we eat in the room?”

“We should eat in the room,” I replied and stretched. I was already tired from the journey, besides, I needed to rest so I could think of how to find that man with a tattoo in this big lown.

Dane nodded, taking my hand as we made our way to the elevator. My eyes wandered, taking in every detail of the place, until something caught my attention.

A cleaner stood nearby, holding a mop as he wiped the floor. Without realizing it, my hand slipped out of Dane’s grasp, but I was too distracted to notice.

There was something in the man’s hand–something that drew me closer.

It looked like a tattoo, and my instincts screamed that it was exactly what I thought it might be.

I walked past him, my palms growing clammy as he lifted his head and looked directly at me. He straightened to his full height, towering and intimidating–just as Miles had described.

My eyes dropped to his hand, and there it was–the tattoo.

In my distraction, I stumbled over something. Glancing down, I realized it was the wet floor sign. I tried to steady myself, but it was too late–I was already slipping.

“Dane!!” I screamed as I threw my hands in the air trying to stop myself from falling.
