Chapter 2143

"I'm here to see my beloved Mossy Baby, of course," Patrick said in a hoarse, husky voice that sent shivers down one's spine.

"Don't be disgusting. Hurry up and spill." Mosley could not be bothered with any more of Patrick's nonsense.

Patrick pointed at Mosley's hand and then flashed him a sinister smile.

"Hehe, there are traces of the old woman's smell on your hands."

Mosley did not care. He shook his hands to disperse the smell. He said, "It's gone now."

Patrick suddenly came to Mosley, his dark eyes staring at him.

"Did you kill the old woman?"

"Nonsense. Of course not," Mosley said firmly.noveldrama

At this time, Patrick's face broke into that terrifying smile again. "Guilty! I smell a guilty conscience."

"Wow, you must be a hound with such a sharp nose."

Patrick threw his sickle right between Mosley's eyes, but Mosley's expression remained unchanged.

Then, Patrick threatened him again, "Tell me, where is that old woman?"

"I'm not from Gorgeous Country. How would I know?"

"You're lying to me!"

"Have I ever lied to you?"

"That's hard to say."

"You can think whatever you like, Patrick. I'll leave first if there's nothing else." With that, Mosley turned around to leave again. Patrick yelled, "Wait! This matter has alarmed the management. They'll send people to investigate. You could just be an outsider!" After a moment of silence, Mosley remained standing there.

"Patrick, I'm not him anymore."

"But you can only be him! Even if your name is Mosley now, you're still him."

There was another moment of silence.

Patrick walked toward the shadows with his sickle, and the two parted ways with their backs against each other.

Just when Patrick was about to disappear into the shadows, Mosley suddenly whispered, "If you ever. decide to leave one day, I'll help you. And in turn, I hope you can help me too"

Patrick seemed to have heard what Mosley said because his footsteps stopped in place. He turned around to look, but Mosley had disappeared.

When Mosley returned to the fast

food restaurant, he remained outside for some time. He stared at Evelyn by the window, his heart was filled with emotion.

She was an ordinary person now. This sentence kept echoing in his mind.

Maybe this was fate, and this

woman's amnesia might not be a bad thing. From now on, everything would be fine as long as shedived as Evelyn.

This was probably the old woman's wish, to spend this seemingly short life happily in the most ordinary identity possible.

He hoped so.
