I stood close to her as I watched her press away from me. It reached for the keys and I unlocked the door.
“Go then…”
She furrowed her brows at me, “Downstairs?”
I nodded. “Yes… you want to go right?” I asked and she nodded. “Go.”
Aurora smiled at me and was about to leave when I called her, “Wait.”
She stopped and I stretched the car keys to her. “You forgot these… stay in the car, I will be back.”
She took it and walked off. I stood there watching her as I sighed.
I walked to the window and I shifted the curtain as I saw the. man of yesterday. The one I saw her with. He had been pacing out there since I woke up this morning.
I sniffed as I stayed there watching him. I had chosen to leave Aurora to sleep this morning, because I suspected that he was waiting for her.
I thought he would leave but up till now, he was still there, pacing… and now.
I closed my eyes and ran my hand through my hair as what I saw next made my heart ache.
Aurora had gone to meet this man. I opened my eyes as I looked at the man closely. I recognize him.
I gulped as I noticed he was the cleaner she was looking at yesterday when she slipped and fell. My heart throbbed and I held my chest and tilted my head to the side as I fought the urge to mistrust Aurora.
“NO… Aurora is a good woman… She is a good wife and a good mother.”
I closed the curtains as I took a deep breath and I pressed my hand on my temple. My head was ringing right now.
I grabbed my suit jacket and I headed down using the stairs. I felt the urge to use the elevator, but I might run into Aurora and that man… I would rather use the stairs.
I don’t want to meet them… I will wait for Aurora to talk to me herself about this… if she ever would.
I dropped down the stairs slowly, my face pale. My hands were clamped tightly against the rails.
I reached down the stairs and checked out of the hotel.
When I stepped outside the hotel, Aurora was nowhere to be seen where she had been standing with him. My heart clenched as panic set in, and I scanned the parking lot–my car was gone
too.
“Aurora? Where are you?” I breathed, my voice barely audible as I walked down the slope.

As I stepped into the road, a car zoomed by I jumped out of the way as the breeze blew my hair.
It stopped in front, I turned to it and saw it was Aurora. She had her head out the window with a wide smile on.
I nearly slammed my face with my palm. “Why the fuck would you be driving like that for?” I asked, shocked still plastered on my face.
I closed my eyes as I breathed out sharply, Aurora would think I was sighing because of how she drove, but I felt relieved because I thought she had left.
I walked up to the driver’s seat and pulled the door, I took her hand and pulled her out of the seat into a hug, I kissed her shoulder as I ran my hand through her hair.
I thought she… Thank goodness.
“Dane?” Aurora called and I pulled away from the hug and I pointed at the front passenger’s seal.
“I’ll drive, go sit there.” noveldrama
She smirked and walked around the car and went there, I sighed as I watched her walk away beautifully.
I feel so glad we are finally going home. I started the car and we drove off.

The ride back home was quiet, I retired to the room while Aurora went to the office right after she freshened up and changed.
I laid in bed, as I tried to forget all that happened in Trigon. I will resume my duties in the pack today.
I held a knock on the door, I turned to it and sat on the bed “Come in…”
The door opened and Raven walked in, he bowed slightly. “Good day, Alpha Dane.”
I nodded my head and he walked closer to me and handed me an invitation card.
I raised a brow as I took it from him, I looked at it and then back at him. “A ball tonight?”
He nodded his head. “Luna asked me to give it to you.”
I nodded my head and he left and shut the door. I fell back on
the bed, my hands running through my hair.
“For fuck’s sake, how many more things is Aurora hiding from
me.”
I thought to myself for a while. Is it because I have been sick and recovering, does she think I am no longer man enough to help her in decision making?
I got up and called Trajan, “Hey Trajan, get my office ready, I will be out there in a while.”
I ended the call and went ahead to get ready for the office.
I reached my office and found Trajan arranging the papers on my desk. I sat down behind my desk and opened my laptop. “I miss this place so much,” I said to my office with a smile on.
Trajan smiled and looked at me too. “Never knew you would start so soon… Did you tell Luna?”
I raised a brow to him. “Do I have to?”
It’s not like she tells me anything anyways.
“Well… it’s just that she’s got it… you didn’t really need to start so soon,” Trajan said with a shrug.
“Wow,” I said as I looked at him, “Why don’t you call her Alpha Aurora then?” I growled through gritted teeth.
“I would never take your place, Dane.”
