Chapter 64 - Searching for a noble - Part 1

The next morning, all of us had a really shocking surprise, the nobleman who was to be delivered today has just escaped from the cage as if by magic or miracle. I have no idea how he managed to escape because I don't think a nobleman can destroy the cage as he did now. At this stage, we witness Josh, Roger, me, and Fiona, who look at that cage in awe and then look at Josh and ask him.

"What happened? Respond."

"Well... I don't know. I was here and protecting the noble." says Josh to Fiona. "But I have fallen asleep for two minutes and then, I found the cage like that."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes! I am sure, Fiona," says Josh started to feel fear when he says Fiona's name because she is higher like him in the rank, even if it is just temporarily.

Fiona turned around to me and Roger and she ordered us.

"You two will have to catch the nobleman. He cannot be that far from here."

"How are you sure?" I ask her.

Then, Fiona walks closer to the cage, she leans to the part where the cage has been damaged, gets his hands on those claw marks, and then she starts sniffing those claws like he's some kind of wolf, which is a little ironic coming from her because she is half-human-half-vewolf. Then, she gets on her feet, and then she turned around us and told us.

"It looks like there have been a Spiwolf who gave a little hand to that noble."

"Spiwolf?" I asked Fiona. "Is that another type of werewolf?"

"Yeah. ." says Fiona to me and then she looks at Roger and Josh. "Now, this type of werewolf is not like the normal one or the kind I am. This one can possess people and make them became humans with animal instinct. the problem is, this type is carnivorous, so he can eat meat, which means he can eat animals, humans, or other species that contain meat. But, this beast also has a weakness, he can only attack the night, and on the day he will rest which means that the noble is somewhere in the forest or nearest of a village near this area and you have to catch him before the night will come and take him here, where I will start the process to make that Spiwolf disappear from his soul. Do you understand?"

"Yes," we respond to Fiona.

"Then go," ordered Fiona to go and haunt that nobleman possessed by a werewolf.

Roger and I are running through the woods, armed with our weapons. I have armed my magic wand, and at my belt, I have my little spell book, and my partner Roger, has in both his muscular hands a normal sword that can make cut an entire piece of meat in two pieces. While we were walking through the woods, we can hear a few screams coming from Josh, which makes me feel sorry for that knight, even though I don't really know him that well because we haven't done many missions with him, and hopefully we'll be able to catch that noble fugitive, load him up and deliver him to really important people, such as the General who leads his Royal Army on the front of the Turkish Empire.

While we are running into the forest, we have to take a left turned because on the right it was a big hole who was probably dug by a man to catch a bigger animal than a bear. After we've taken that side, Roger and I notice five wolves that are dead because they have a lot of scratches on their bodies, and one of them also has his head ripped out of his body. I wanted to throw up, but Roger beat me to it and threw up breakfast inches from that wolf's corpse torn apart by claws as big as Fiona's Vewolf's claws. I swallow my vomit and you look more closely at those scratch marks on that butchered animal.

I notice that the animal shows only claw marks on its hairy body and some blood, which is most likely its own, lying on the ground. These corpses help me identify the location of that nobleman, and the nobleman is not far from us, perhaps even close if we were to look very closely at the situation. I explain to Roger that we have to go ahead, and he approves of nodding and we continue to hunt towards that Spiwolf. As long as I was going straight ahead, Roger, being curious, asks me how I know we have to go ahead.

"I have read a ton of books about hunting, and I have listened to the advice of someone who is an expert in hunting."

"Fiona sister?" asks Roger suddenly a few minutes later when we have jumped over a river to continue walking straight.

"Yes. She is mostly the one who helped me learn the basic thing in the hunt. If there is a body of a dead animal on the road or somewhere that means the hunter to the beast killed him. But, if the prey doesn't attract mosquitos that mean the bodies were there for a long time and some of those bodies got mosquitos and even worms in their stomach. So, those corpses are there from a few hours earlier and mean that the noble is far away."

"I-I see," says Roger trying to make me think he got what I said to him, but it probably doesn't get a millimetre of the things I have said to him, but it is alright, hunting it is not for everybody.

A few minutes later, we left a part of the forest and we arrived in a village and there we saw, houses and buildings who are closed and windows being blocked by furniture. Roger and I have entered that little village, we walked in that area and we discovered something, some sorts of werewolf marks who are let on the walls of the houses but on red bricks, blood marks on the road which probably doesn't belong to a human or any type of humans pieces. Then, we found a thing that made us feel terrible, a woman who got bitten by that werewolf and she is laying on the road.

Roger and I are running to that lady, I take my wand from the belt, I aim at her head and use the healing spell on her wounds which are on the chest. A big bite marks who could kill anyone, but this woman was still breathing, so, that means this beast is closer to us because a woman wouldn't survive a bit who looks like one of a zombie with huge jaws.

"Wh-What happened ?"

"Are you alright?" I ask the lady after she wakes up and finished healing her. "Who attacked you?"

"Huh?... The wound..."

"I healed it." I say to the lady. "Now you can walk."

The lady was trying to get on her feet, and she did it pretty easily, which makes her feel shocked because she did not believe that a kid my age can cure such a mark.

"T-Thank you." says the lady looking happy at me. "How can I repay you two?"

"Tell us where the Spiwolf have gone? Or a guy who got brown hair, wears an elegant suit, a hat and also is noble."

"Um... I didn't have seen a noble. But I saw a Spiwolf, who was running into East." says the lady pointing her finger to the direction where the beast went, and when she pointed the direction, Roger and I are running to that way to catch that noble possessed by a Spiwolf.
