Chapter 18 - The beginning of my first war

"Argh! My head hurts!" I said after I woke up into a place that was filled with darkness, I tried to use my arms, but that didn't work out because this is probably another of those dreams so I decided to stay and feel the dream.

"Thank God!" says someone in this total darkness. "You are still alive after that attack."

"Attack ?" said the person I am currently watching. "What attack ?"

"We were so close to arriving in a safe zone but something terrible happened to all of us." says that person coming from darkness and closer to me until I can see his face.

The person in that darkness was the same as in the previous dream I had, but this time, he is injured in his left leg. His entire left leg is tied with bandages who are still having blood stains and even some dirt into them.

"Your leg? What did the hell happen while I was unconscious?" says the person I am currently watching.

"Not much to say. One bastard shoots an arrow straight to my leg." says the guy who has the leg tied like it wasn't such a big deal.

"Those bastards are going to pay for what they did, comrade!"

"They will. But now, we have to wait until the rescue will arrive. I sent a few minutes to the base a pigeon with a message to our location, I just hope they will see that message. Anyway, can you walk and use your spells again ?"

The person I am currently watching is trying to get up, but after two tries who resulted in failures, the third one was the lucky one that helped him get up. That man in whom I live the experience looks at his hands and I notice something bizarre, this man I "possess" has an emerald ring and gloves on both hands. That person looks at his comrade, then looks for his spear through this place that is barely lit by a torch that his friend placed while this person was unconscious.

After a few moments, he finds his spear intact, supported even by the armour of the person he possesses in this strange dream. This person, if I remember the previous dream, is not the one I controlled. There would be several reasons, one of them is the fact that this person does not have scars on both hands, he does not handle a spear, but a wand, this is what I realized when that person stopped me so as not to touch his weapon, but the third was that we were both struck by an arrow but on different legs. That is, the body I am watching was hit in the right foot, and the person I watched in the previous dream is hit in the left leg.

The man looked at that person and says to him.

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

"Thank you, Julius."

"No problem, Hans." says the person named Julius who I was watching the last dream.

Now I know the names of the two people, and now it would be a good idea to remember the names of those people for any precaution.

The person named Hans take his wand then uttered a spell called "Fireball". Immediately, a fireball comes out of that torch, which is very small, like some of a mosquito in modern times or hot summer areas on the plain, village, or mountain. Hans looks at that ball and then tells him to go outside and set fire to the nearest abandoned village. That ball does not answer whether he understood the order or not but flies from the cave where the two are standing to heal, to the nearest abandoned village, but there is a problem, all the surrounding villages are abandoned because I read in a book as in a war, the knights are forced to evacuate all the villagers from the villages near the front where the current war will take place.

The man named Julius looks at Hans, the person I watch but I can't help moving, who looks at how anyone knows the plan of their best friend or brother.

"We are going to attack them from behind or front?"

"... Both." says the guy named Hans while he took the wand from his belt.

After he said that, the place becomes dark again, but this time I heard something. A sweet girl's voice was calling my name. I tried to move, but somehow, I got hit by something and I woke up to reality. Yeah... I woke up to the real world without seeing what was about to happen in that dream.

I looked around and I noticed it was still night outside.

"Good. You are awake. It's time to go, Judah." says Fiona who lights a lamp for me to help me get out of bed, dress in a scooter uniform and equip myself for my first war, which I don't think will be a good one because it's a fight in which dozens of thousands of uninvited lives are forced to fight for a royal land that does not even belong to them.

"What's the time?" I ask Fiona while I get up from the bed, and put onto me the armour that every squire has.

"It's almost time we have to leave. Good thing you can be awake easily. I was about to throw some horse shit on you." says Fiona smiling at me, while I feel disgusted for her taste to wake up people.

I put on my armour, take the backpack that is placed next to the bed, load it with the weapons that Fiona put in her room. I put in that backpack some potions that contain poison and healing elixirs. I also add a shield to that backpack, even if it barely fits after I put their two bottles of bottles with all kinds of potions. After I finished with my backpack, the last thing I had to do was to say goodbye to Diana, who was in the kitchen because she comes from hunting and she takes the goose feathers out of these wild catches caught to sell at the market for a reasonable price. But, even before we left, Diana handed me and Fiona some food. I thanked Diana for the food, said goodbye to her again, and went to the area where the carriage is waiting for us, which delivered me and Fiona to the war zone. The place where we will fight for a piece of land that I don't think will be so valuable for both kingdoms.

Fiona and I walked through the darkness in the morning to the palace, where the carriages and comrades are waiting for us, with whom we will fight side by side in this war for territory. Fiona and I didn't talk the whole way because we both realized we were tired and could barely sleep. I have no idea what Fiona did last night, but I think it had to do with a gentleman's business. While I was walking, I was thinking about the dream I had in the last two days, this dream is not one like the ones I had at the Orphanage, but ... much too real.
