"What, Judah?" asks Garnet after she heard the thing I said earlier.
"Oh. Uh… Nothing." I said to her.
"Is about the dreams you were having?" asks Garnet, going closer to Judah to look into his eyes.
"Yes. And I do know all of you three ain't believing me." I say to Garnet before I am heading into my room and proceed to try and search around this house for a dagger I have taken from my capital, in worst-case scenario.
"I believe you." says Garnet before I was about to take the dagger, and this made me to slowly turn around her.
"You do?" I asked her.
"Yes... After all, it is not the first time I was trying to run away. Last time was three years ago, I was trying to run with a few maids, but we got caught at the moment were close to leave this land and go to the Brit King Islands. We got caught there, and the people who helped died." she does a small pause, and she looks at me. "They got killed by those assassins you've sawn in your dream. They were five right?"
"No. I only saw three of them. The man with a yellow hoodie."
"That it is Vidraru. A sick dude who was close to rape me a few times."
"That is horrible!"
"And he is still working for my family since he can do a lot of magic spells not many people are capable of doing it."
"I see... Then there were a man who was holding a cane with a hat."
"That it is Thomas." says Garnet feeling concerned. "She is truly a powerful assassin of my family, and one time it was one of the strongest knights of Romania Army."
"And finally... There was a man who's holding a scythe."
"..."
"Do you know him?"
"No. I do not know him." says Garnet to me feeling concerned as me. "I never heard about a man from my family using a scythe. There is only a woman who can do that from that assassin group. Maybe that was the other vision you've had."
"You must be right." I say to her. "However, we have the targets we should be worried about, right?"
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
"Yes. But we do not have to tell that to our knights."
"Huh? Why?"
"It's because the assassins in my family has been more violent towards the adults than the ones like you at my age. Plus we cannot risk by telling them you've had visions. They might be striking you first, then us."
"Yeah. I think I should keep my healing powers hidden too." I propose an idea to her.
"Good thinking. That way, they'll think you are just a person from this village who knew me."
"Hey, fellas!" says Ulfred entering the backyard with an empty basket on his left hand. "Would like to come with me outside this village to help the villagers gathering apples and pears? I heard they might reward us with good beer and wine."
"Sure." says Garnet, and then she looks at me. "Would you like to come along?"
"Yes." I say to Garnet, and then I look to Ulfred. "But first, I have to go and take something from my room before we leave."
"Sure, buddy." says Ulfred to me while I was opening the door and headed into the building to take my dagger.
I have arrived at my room, searched for my dagger and I found it under my bed. I take it from there, put it under my peasant clothes, but then I take it out, and proceed to cover it up by using some dirty clothes I found there, and proceed to put it under my clothes. I did that in case I might be hurting myself and Ulfred might be asking why I am brining a dagger along.
I leave the room, then the house, got to the gate of the house where Ulfred and Garnet were about to leave, and I head with them to the place where we are going to gather apples and pears. While we were walking to that place, I have to carry five baskets, while Garnet was carrying only one, and Ulfred was carrying only two.
***
A few moments later, we have arrived at the place we are gathering those sweet apples and pears we are going to use it at brewing beverages, or sold them to a high price, or better, eat them. Ulfred took the first basket, which is a red one, and he handed one to each other whose yellow. He then told us what we have to do.
"You gather pears from the ground and from the trees, if you can reach the branches with pears. I will be gathering the apples, alright?"
"Alright." we say to him, and we are heading to the trees where we are starting to do this small errand.
I gather almost twelve pears from the ground, and when I took them into that yellow basket, Garnet came over to me, and she whispered it to me.
"We have to not tell him."
"I wasn't even thinking about it." I say to Garnet in a whispering response. "By the way, who are the other guys."
"What guys?"
"You know, the assassins who... killed the maids."
"Them. They are not entirely guys, you know."
"I don't care about their appearance or gender. I want to know if they are dangerous."
"They are."
"Hey!" says Ulfred to us. We turned back to him, and he told us with a smile on his face. "I see you two have started to have a little secret between you two. Why won't you tell me your secret, huh?". He sits on a rock, with his hands crossed while we are taking small steps to him.
"Um... Our secret. Well..." tries to say Garnet.
"About novels. Yes. About novels." I tried to say to make Ulfred to believe this lie. "About novels, huh? What's the secret?"
"I-I was told her that I've got the chance to meet a writer from the kingdom and had an actual chat with him at a Tavern."
"And are you believing him?"
"Yes. Because he told this to another person."
"Let me get this. You say that you are trusting Judah because he told this thing to me? You kids are really weird." says Ulfred feeling quite disappointed that this wasn't that of a big secret, and we get back to our business of gathering the fruits we need it.
