Chapter 118 - Staying safe - Part 1

First morning I wake up in another village. When I do wake up, I saw the bed where Garnet were sleeping, and it is empty. I immediately get up from the bed, and run from the room, looking around to see where is Garnet. After a few seconds I saw her at the table with Ulfred, they are eating a breakfast which consist of meat and bread.

"Morning, Judas!" says Ulfred to me. "Want to eat this delicious soup made by Garnet?"

"She made this soup?" I ask Ulfred feeling a little concerned because Garnet is supposed to be a prisoner, not a free girl who can do chores in the house like preparing the meals. "I-Is it poisoned or a spell into it?" I whispered to Ulfred.

"Nah, man." says Ulfred to me in a normal voice that it can be heard by Garnet who is putting a bowl with a soup she just made and put next to my bowl a loaf of bread. "It is delicious."

"Alright... Thank you." I say to Garnet and this made her feeling embarrassed by this. This is probably the first time she cooks, or she is not used to people to praise. Apparently, she was just a bag of meat preserved for eating at special occasion.

I sit on the table and proceed to dig into the soup she has made. One bite of the soup and I could say it tasted good. Not on the level of Diana, nor Fiona level, but somewhere in the middle. This little girl, even tough it was living in a noble house, she is cooking very good.

"It is delicious." I say to Garnet. "I never thought nobles were able to cook."

"Neither I do." says Ulfred fascinated, he looks towards Garnet, and he asks her. "Are you truly a member of Yugara family or a maid?"

"Both." responds Garnet siting on the table. "They were using me as a maid service, which has bought me more time to live in peace... You know what I had to do?"

"Pretty much what every maid is doing?" I asked Garnet.

"Yes. I had to prepare breakfast, launch, dinner, and midnight snack for my Big Father. And it wasn't easy to find human legs as a midnight snack and fried them."

"The CHRIST!" says Ulfred after he heard the last part. "You haven't put any human meat here, right?"

"No."

"Thank God." says Ulfred feeling better.

"I used sheep meat." says garnet.

"Sheep meat?" I asked her. "We didn't buy sheep meat with us when we left the Capital City."

"I did." says an unknown girl entering the room, and looking at us.

"Who are you?" asks Ulfred who was about to take out his dagger, but then he let it back on his belt. "Oh, Taka. It is you?"

"Correct." says Taka to Ulfred, and she turns to me to see her disguise. "Do you like it?" she asked me this question in such a weird manner.

"I-It looks good." I say to Taka felling a little nervous, and after a few seconds while she was taken her seat I asked her. "Where did you take the meat?"

"From a stall into this village. There is a Market not far from here. About forty steps."

"I understand." I told her while I am taking another slurp of this soup and eat it with bread to taste it delicious and provide me energy.

A few minutes later of silence while we were eating breakfast, Taka has decided to break the silence by telling us what we have to do today.

"You three should wear a disguise and invent names."

"Alright." responded Ulfred. "But I can still have my... Y'know." he shows his arms, which was probably referred or at the arm, or at the skin.

"Yes, you can." says Taka to him. "On this morning, I saw a lot of people in different colour skin, so we will probably stay chill here." she looks at Garnet. "You should also find something to disguise because you are a big target. At any minute, an assassin can come to slaughter all of us."

"Okay." says Garnet, putting her bowl on the table after she finished eating the remaining soup, and she head to the room where I and her we slept last night.

"And you Judah. You must find a disguise." says Taka to me, even though I heard her loud and clear last time.

"I will... How does, Robert Tim, sounds?" I asked her this suggestion of the name.

"Good enough." she says in a way which wasn't quite excited about this name I was thinking a few seconds ago and tell it with a loud voice to her.

Before I was about to finish my soup, Garnet leaves the room, and all of us are looking at her, having a complete new look. Her hair being blonde instead of black, her green eyes having a brown colour, and her face, having a drawn scar on her face to probably scare the kids or trick the assassins. She wears a dress in green and red, with a few parts being sewed to show the peasant's energy instead of a Noble Energy. She also wears a pair of bad shoes, which only peasants would wear because we don't really care how we take our shoes. "If it works, it works." that is my motto.

We do like her type of disguise, and Taka was asking Garnet what name she chose, and Garnet told us her response by playing a role.

"My name is Ramona. I have come from a very large land outside these united kingdoms. The land I came from has been destroyed by pirates. They captured and sold me as a slave, but thanks to the people in front of me..." she pointed at us. "I am a free woman who is able to follow her dreams to become a well known merchant."

"Good." applauds Ulfred at Garnet role. "What you think, Taka?"

"It is alright." says Taka.

"Thank you very much." says Garnet to us, then she goes to the table and proceed to take all the empty bowls from there, and she proceeds to wash them all.

"How did you change your hair colour so fast?" asks Taka to Garnet.

"I use a wig." says Garnet, showing her wig to Taka by raising up her fake hair to show it is truly a true wig and not a true hair.

"Very good." says Taka. "But you should be careful? The wind is really heavy here."

"I will be." says Garnet to Taka.
