Chapter 106 - Vampire Hunt - Part 2

Chapter 106 - Vampire Hunt - Part 2

We have almost arrived to our destination, only a few meters until we will have to slay those blood-sucking monsters who scared a lot of innocent people and animals who were just minding their own business. I fell bad for those people who were attacked or scared by those vampires who were considered as bad ones by Fiona and Diana.

Fiona is looking at Diana while her big sister is pouring holy water to the metal part of the arrow from her crossbow.

"Don't you think poison will work on it?"

"It doesn't matter." responded Diana to her sister.

"Just like your family reputation." responded Fiona to her sister last sentence.

"...Just shut up. Now it is not time for this bullshit." responded Diana to her sister.

"But when it will be? When our parents will try to marry you again, and then you will jump back to Leonard?" says Fiona to her sister.

"Both of you, could you stop." I said to these two sisters. "I know you two are having some family trouble, but they could wait until we arrive at the location."

"Mmph." says those two sisters at the same time after they faced another direction and equip them with their weapons to fight those monsters.

Our carriage stops in front of a few carriages who were destroyed, a few dead horses, and three Royal Army noble knights. We left this carriage and searched to see if we found the reason what was happening here. Fiona had a theory that a few vampires attacked them, sucked the blood out of them and eventually killed them. Diana had other theory that a few huge animals attacked them and killed them, then, these two sisters proceed to arguments.

"How can a huge animal did this?!" asks Fiona to Diana.

"There are about twenty different animals who can do this. How many you can name them?" provoke Diana to her sister.

"Giant Turtle, Red Wolf, Vewolf, Werewolf, Donka, Red Cannibal Donkeys, Timbarak, Dodo-Elephant, Tinbugu, Dragons, Trolls, Animal-Elvs, Furry-Elvs - "

"What? You think a Furry-Elf can do this?"

"They are the same as animals."

"They aren't!" yelled Diana to her sister.

"They are!"

"No they aren't you stupid sister!"

"EXCUSE ME?!" yelled Fiona who was close at taking her sword, but Diana was much faster, and she took her crossbow, and aims her head.

"Don't make me shot your head off!"

"Don't make me use vewolf powers to take out your skin and eat you alive!" says Fiona, transforming her left hand into a vewolf claw.

"Freeze!" I yelled a spell to my wand and aimed at Fiona, who stopped her moving, then I shot another spell to Diana."Now you two are probably going to beat me when the spell effect is wearing off."

"When it will be ?" asks Fiona, trying to move her body, she can only move her mouth.

"About five minutes later... Sorry, but I had to stop you two from fighting since you are sisters." I told Fiona.

"... You are dead." says Diana and Fiona at the same time looking angrily at me.

"I know... At least I had a good life."

"I was joking." says Fiona trying to make a laugh but she couldn't do it since her entire body is stuck in that attacking position. "I forgot you cannot take a joke sometimes."

"Sorry, but you know last time it didn't go well." I responded to her.

"Um. Sorry to interrupt you three." says the disciple of Diana. "But we don't have a gang of vampires to hunt?"

"It will take a few more hours until they will appear." says Diana to her disciple while she stays in that attacking position, like Fiona. "Mostly at night because they are vampires, not semi-vampires."

"What is the difference?" I laughed when I said that, then I asked them before everyone looked surprised at me. "No, seriously, what is the difference?"

Later on, after Diana and Fiona came back from the freezing state, they each did one slap on my face, that it almost knocked me out. After all, I do deserve that for suing a spell to them, without even asking their permission, even if I did that, the things would've jumped to a much higher scale and death would've been inevitable. This would've been a real mess in my squire career, since I have to help my knight, not try to hurt him physically or mentally.

Diana arranges a few land traps to catch vampires, something like pits with sticks that could pierce when armour hides the pit by using a few leafs to cover it. Yes, this seems like a silly trap, but on the night, they could even have a chance to catch a pro hunter. She is also creating a trap thanks to her disciple by using one knight corpse, putting him on a sharp stick, painting his body with blood then, putting a bit of poison on the blood to make the vampires die. This seems disrespectful to the man body but what we can do, Diana told me the vampires are much more attracted to humans rather than animals since they eat animals in critical moments when they are starving. But she also told me she put a kind of "drug" into that blood, which will attract vampires to drink their blood.

Fiona is hiding into the tallest trees and uses her vewolf senses to see if she will encounter a vampire. She ordered me to be prepared for anything and use light spells on the directions she points with her fingers. So, I have to pay close attention to Fiona orders and be prepared for anything.

I look at my wand, then I checked my pulse, it beats normal which seems my mana capacity it is at a normal level. This is good, because last time when I consumed all of my mana, I have fallen into a deep sleep for a few moments. This has only happened in the mission of Gregonson when we had to fight that criminal. After I checked my pulse, I saw Diana disciple taking from the carriage a hammer, and looks at Fiona, who has finished with the corpse.

"I am going to search for Red-White Moss." says Diana's Disciple to her master.

"Go ahead. We will need it in case vampires are biting someone of us." responds Diana to her disciple.

Her disciple is going to a path which is leading down the river. while he was gone, I looked at Diana who came close to me and I asked her.

"What's that moss for anyway?"

"In case someone will bite us. And I mean at vampires." responded Diana to my question. "This moss, it is an antidote to vampires bites. Applying that moss on your bite mark, it will make it disappear."

"Cool."

"It is something rare though, but I think the disciple might be able to find one or two. If not, we have Fiona's Vewolf tongue, which his able to heal anything."

"I almost forgot her tongue is able to do that." I responded to Diana. "But she cannot heal herself?"

"Have seen a vewolf trying to lick his butt if he got injured there?"

"Good point."

Meanwhile, on the river area, Diana's disciple sees a red-white moss staying on the rocks. He is happy, and is running to that rock to start on collecting the stuff they would probably need it to stop vampire's bite marks, if they will have it. He arrived in a few seconds there, and proceed to use his trusty hammer to take down that moss. But, while he was doing that, he did notice that a vampire was hiding in the shadow of a big tree and looked at him, like a fat man who sees a giant McDonald's free order.

He walks slowly by using this tree shadow to the kid, who proceed to use his hammer to take out that moss. While he was working, he did not notice that someone as getting closed to his neck and about to bite him, then suck out his blood.
