I look at Thomas feeling nervous and curios because he told me something weird. He told me the names of my dead parents. I leave the Ulfred body, after he told me not approach the man, but I approach him anyway, he told me something that I need to hear it. Maybe he knows something about my parents and their lives. He might be helping me in the future to overcome this curse that has inflicted into my family bloodline.
"How do you know them?"
"... I... I met them. A few times." says the Gentleman breathing heavily. "But, short story. Their family is tied to mine. Because they were the one.... The one who helped my great-grandfather fighting against the Strigoi's who were suddenly attacking my hometown. If they weren't there, I would most likely not be here today."
"Okay, but how do you know my dead parents?"
"This is another story, kid." says Gentlemen trying to get up, but he does that quite hard because of the hits he suffered from the fight he got into. Thomas showed me the stick, and asked me if I can grab it and send it to him. " Don't worry," he says after he saw my look which was kinda worried that he asked me to do this. "I will not be trying to do anything. Ulfred won, and I got to keep my promise."
"I will give it to you, but under one condition?"
"Ha. Okay, kid. Say it."
"There is a cure, for a curse?"
"Your family curse?" asks Thomas looking worried at me.
"How did you know it?"
"Your family is cursed... Thor told me when we were on the Tavern close to Dobrat, but..." he sighs, and he tells after a few seconds. "You know there are two ways of doing it. One, is by cutting the contacts and your roots with your family. Second, by friending one of the members or family members who cursed you."
"Really? The second option. How do I find the man, or the human who is able to overcome this curse?" I ask him feeling stressed out.
If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
"I-I do not know." says Getelmen. "But, I might be able to search it, but for a price."
"W-What price?"
"I'll tell you in the future, but for now, gave me the cane, please."
I left Thomas body, I got to the cane, and I handed to him. He takes it, and he used to get up. It was hard for him to do it since he got a lot of hits all around his body, but after a few moments he managed to do it.
"Thanks, kid." says Thomas to me. "...What is the family who cursed yours?"
"I believe it is Tungsten." I say to Thomas.
"It will be hard, but I will be trying to do some digging all around this continent."
"Really?" I say shocked at the man. "Are you doing that for me?"
"What can I say? I have to pay the price because if your family wasn't helping my hometown, my people would've been lost."
"By the way, what is the name of your hometown?"
"Henedoara."
I looked surprised at him, because of some things about that place. So, my family saved the village, where Fiona and Diana were living? Does that mean I am an unknown hero of the village? That might explain that one time when an old lady, at the hunt, told me I resemble someone famous from her village.
But at the moment I was about to say anything, a spear flew at the back of Thomas, close to hit his head. Both of us are looking from the direction where the spear was coming and there are Taka with Garnet who were breathing heavily and armed with weapons to kill Thomas. I told them that Thomas it is innocent, and we resolved the problem, but the moment I was about to turn back, Thomas had disappeared from there.
"What the hell, Judah?!" yelled Taka running to me, and grabbing my shoulder. "You let the assassin flee from here.
"Don't worry, Taka," says Ulfred getting up. "We... We managed to come with a negotiation. He will be leaving us alone."
"You made a deal with him?" asks Garnet coming close to us. "What was the deal?"
"If I win, he would leave us alone and not interfere in our mission."
"Wow." says Garnet. "This means Thomas has finally decided to not follow the orders."
"What?" asks Taka looking at us. "So... We managed to defeat the fifth assassin?"
"Most likely." I say to her looking at the sky. "We have to go house."
And in a few minutes, all four of us, are heading out from this forest. It was a long walk, but thanks to Garnet and Taka, who were searching all the forest for us, the have finds the shortest route to our house. When we got there, we put Ulfred on the bed. There I used all of my mana on the healing ability, hoping to cure his injures he suffered on this awful fight.
After I used all my mana, I passed away, on the room where Ulfred he was put on the bed, on his room.
Later, I wake up on my bed, after three days of sleeping. Looks like the continues use of my mana has done some bad things to my body.
